Fantastic venue! Pretty inside and extremely smooth running. It felt very safe and intimate watching the band ☺️
This is by far on of the most talented and entertaining bands out their. Their energy is Go go go right out of the gate. I’ve see. Them at least 5 times, never boring. I like that Jimbo took more of a supportive role and let all of his band mates shine, and they do, Dr. Sic is like Taz on red bull, I also noticed how good the drummer is, so much crazy on the stage before that it escaped me, the horn section is also a key element. The set liat included lots of their Chritmas tunesvas well as some classics a dva few new ones. Never miss a chance to see these guys
Love Christmas music shows, awesome venue Merry Christmas
Show jumped off to a high energy start and never slowed down. Great performance
Great show! Dr. Sick was amazing. The female singer was good even though the band drowned her out a few times. Even my mildly autistic teenager had a fantastic time.
A unique classic venue with a classic unique band! A thrill for all and a hot time with the Zippers as always
SNZ on their Christmas CaravanTour. Since the start of covid, they have put together one or two SNZ-style albums and a Christmas album. The performance was far wilder and more unhinged than when we saw them 6-8 years ago. People were dancing through the aisles, including a short tour by Jimbo. Don't miss this one.
First, it was so great being back at the Birchmere. I’ve been going since the ‘80’s. The Squirrel Nut Zippers were amazing. I brought a friend who wasn’t familiar with them. She loved it. Food was good. As I remembered. Great time and can’t wait to go again.
The holiday numbers and overall experience more than lives up the expectation from this extraordinary group.
SNZ combines great musicianship, musical variety, and fun on stage to make a very entertaining show.
Once again...AMAZING!! I have loved them for over 20 years.....& every year, they are just as good as the year before! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
I haven't been going to many concerts lately, but when The Squirrel Nut Zippers announced that they were coming to Tucson last year, that was a good reason to get tickets. Having to wait a whole year was a pain, but the resulting concert was supremely gratifying! Great music, fabulous stage presence, and the piece de resistance was performing the Ghost of Stephen Foster in sync with the video! Well Done, SNZ! The opening group, Little Cloud, did an excellent job getting everybody in the mood. It's nice to know they're a local band so we can catch them more frequently.
Zippers were great and always filled with fun and energy. Wacky and fun! The opening band, Dirty Dozen are very professional musicians, however, they really kill the mood and belong in a different genre of music. We actually left after 30 minutes and came back after Zippers started. Terrible, I know, we just can only take so much of a brass band....Zippers are brass, violin, guitar, drums, everything and it works brilliantly.
The band is high energy and they don’t hold back when performing. Their music is pure fun and enjoyable for all ages. By the end of the show, everyone was on their feet dancing. My husband had to miss the performance due to an illness but Dr. Sick was absolutely gracious and allowed us to record a video of him wishing my husband well as he mingled with the audience after the show. Thank you!
I have loved SNZ since way back in college in the 90s. Saw them once then. And like fine wine, SNZ get better with age. The concert at the Birchmere was AWESOME. High energy. Thank you SNZ
Loved the music and their antics on and off the stage. Well worth the price of admissions.
We enjoyed Jimbo and his group so much! Very unique and talented crew! Also the opening act was talented local 16 year old jazz guitarist Johnny Jensen. Would love to see the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Johnny Jensen again!
Most entertaining show we're seen in a long time. Great music and funny. Highly recommend
Great show. Great venue. Only neg - female vocalist sound seemed so loud (painfully loud) everything else sounded good. Local openers were terrific!!
