  • Squirrel Nut Zippers with Johnny Jensen

by G. on 10/27/19SouthWest Florida Event Center - Bonita SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue for a concert! We sat at a table next to the stage and ordered dinner. The prime rib was good, and the staff was friendly. The Squirrel Nut Zippers gave a great performance as well as the opener, Johnny Jensen. We’ll definitely go back for more shows!

  • Absolutely one fantastic show

by Jeffers on 8/15/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was great ( drink prices a little high). Opening act was wonderful. The band, as usual, never let you down. Easy in , easy out, no traffic issues. The only thing I didn't like was that there were no electronic tickets. ( I guess I've gotten spoiled). You had to have your actual tickets in hand to enter. But I'd still do it again!

  • Rave Review for Squirrel Nut Zippers

by Patty on 8/11/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome! So much better than what I expected! Fabulous, energetic Swing-Jazz Music with a touch of the old Vaudeville acts from another century. At the end, the band marched through the crowd while singing & playing their instruments. It was at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY where I saw this band. First time I've ever been to the Madison. Small venue which was PERFECT! Could see everyone up close, which made for a more personable & fun experience!

  • Just fantastic...

    by Mhc100g on 8/11/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Such a unique band. So much going on on the stage at one time you really have to make it a point to look around constantly. Encore was amazing as they came into the crowd and played. Sorry it took me 20 years to see them.

  • Awesome Show

by Nicknes on 8/11/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Saw them in a small indoor venue near Cincinnati. They were great! Great music, great sound, ambiance was set perfectly. Type of show you can take someone to even if they never heard of the band and they’d love it.

  • SNZips are the best!

by Mainiac on 4/22/19Aura - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

High energy is an understatement! Doctor Sic is hilarious as he flings himself around on stage (how in the hell does he do it show after show?!) Love this “Orchestra” as Jimbo describes his group. Like having a small New Orleans Mardi Gras in one foot stompin’ night. I will def. clear my schedule for any future shows.

  • Fabulous Energy

    by m.perk on 4/22/19Aura - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best I’ve been to and in a really great venue. Lots of dancing, clapping, laughing, singing... The end was a highlight making a “conga” line with the band. They are a must see! Opening band who was local was amazing too.

If you haven't had any, or you've forgotten what it's like, to have honest to goodness fun then it's time you went to the Revival being held by The Squirrel Nut Zippers. It will cleanse your troubles and worries away. My best description: a vaudeville act you can, and will, dance to. So get dressed up, go to the Revival, and dance yourself to divinity.

A lot of fun and great music. The player look like they are still have and good time too.

  • Fun to watch but poor sound balance

    by TikiMon2 on 10/1/18Carolina Theatre - DurhamRating: 4 out of 5

The SNZs put on an entertaining show to watch. However the sound level for the singers was so distorted, we couldn’t appreciate their new lead female vocalist at all. Loud is ok but distortion is a waste of money. Back it off a few DB.

  • Sound quality only ok

by BBbbbbbccccc on 9/30/18Carolina Theatre - DurhamRating: 4 out of 5

Zippers were awesome but the sound quality was poor. Sound has always been good in the past at this theatre

I've wanted to see this show for twenty years. So happy they are making music and touring again. The show touches every emotion. The energy made me feel 20 years younger. I would see this show again and again.

Have loved SNZ since I first heard them in the 90s. First chance to see them live. They were fantastic. Great show, tons of energy and fun. Would have like a few more songs but thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

  • Date Night with a Theme

by themanwithoutahat on 3/28/18Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

This evening was such a great event. I have been wanting to see Squirrel Nut Zippers since I was in High School and did not pass up this opportunity. I invited a date that had never seen or been either and it was magic. We started at RT's and had a cuisine right from New Orleans. then moved to The Birchmere which had such a great touch of Madi Gras. This venue is not like any I have been to in the past, the lobby looked like something taken from the streets of New Orleans. The Band did not disappoint, they played all my favorite and some new songs that added to the Voodoo vibe that was already going. The band played from the stage to the lobby where you could meet and talk with the band. Thank you to all that made this night, it was well worth it.

by angelfishes on 12/11/17Ritz Theatre - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Following the Squirrel Nut Zippers for 20 years ! but never saw them in concert , totally incredible performance . Every song was played with soul of musicians that gave all . Highly recommend anyone into jazz swing ,with a little satire . Even after the concert and bows , the band played thru the crowd and meet and greet in the lobby ! Signing autographs ,conversation and amusement ! Almost like a small town friendly band ! can't wait to see them again , at the Ritz theatre or any place . Looking forward to their new music 2018 !

  • Squirrel Nut Zippers Christmas Show

    by Rosered999 on 12/5/17The Lyric Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Fun show in a beautiful theater with amazing sound. This performance stands out from traditional Christmas shows. Highly reccommend!

  • Lots of Fun

    by Cowboy53 on 12/4/17The Lyric Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

This was billed as the "Christmas Caravan" and there were a few, appropriately skewed holiday tunes including the show-ending "Sleigh Ride." The show was fast paced (with a few slower tunes to rest up) with lots of on stage antics and frolicking. Sound was a bit off in the beginning with ear piercing vocals, but balanced out soon enough. We all left with smiles on our faces. The only complaint: The show is a bit short at around 90 minutes including a two song encore.
