  • Squirrel Nut Zippers

by casual fan on 11/7/22Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

I've listened to the Zippers via CD for years and always thought they would be fun to see live. Boy was I given a treat when I recently caught them at the Bergen PAC. Far exceeded my expectations! I had such a fun night. Great energy, musicianship, showmanship. Glad I finally went.

  • Off the charts

by Billy Boy on 11/6/22The Cabot - BeverlyRating: 5 out of 5

The whole evening was incredible! We got a nice dinner down the street at the organic garden! People were very friendly and no hassles! No security people issues like I’ve had there in the past. Both bands were incredible and sublime! I really appreciate the Cabot Theater it reminds one of my favorite venues for live music! I even bought a T-shirt and a CD!

  • Crazy fun!

So much talent on one stage High energy. A non-stop merrymaking odyssey that will have you up out of your seat!

  • Extreme entertainment

by TheVyv on 11/6/22The Cabot - BeverlyRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are so ridiculously talented, that it is stones me there were still seats available. Also, so much humor integrated into the show. Wildly entertaining.

  • Disappointing

by MusicGuy on 11/6/22The Cabot - BeverlyRating: 2 out of 5

I had never heard SNZ but love the sort of music they play. I listened to a few recordings and liked those. I heard them in the Cabot Theater in Beverly, MA. They are obviously very skilled musicians but they sounded awful. I don’t know if the problem was the room, sound guy, both, or what. I heard very few song lyrics and way too much bass and drums It all just sounded like noisy mud. They make great effort to jump around and be entertaining but that doesn’t make up for the sloppy sound. I have to admit, we were surrounded by adoring fans who couldn’t get enough. We couldn’t wait for it to be over. I wonder if I would like them in a larger ir different venue.

  • SNZ opened by DDBB

by gail on 11/6/22The Cabot - BeverlyRating: 5 out of 5

Dirty Dozen Brass Band opened for Squirrel Nut Zippers, and their vocalist demanded early in their set that the audience get on their feet. I guess they're not used to us staid New Englanders, coming from NOLA. And they did get us up, dancing and singing along. After an intermission, it felt like the audience energy had been deflated, and SQZ had to work to get it back up, which they did very well, but I have to say that I prefer a show of just SNZ, and I want the finale conga line back. Please!

  • Rock-A-Billy Swing on Steroids!

by Scruffy on 11/5/22Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show! Nine talented artists performing their hearts out for only 1/3 of the theater's tickets sold. But they gave a show strong enough to fill an arena! Highly recommend!

  • The Zippers never disappoint!

by Allen B. on 11/5/22Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

This is our fifth time seeing the Squirrel Nut Zippers in concert, and as always, they put on a phenomenal show. This is also our first time seeing the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and we were hooked immediately. Two great, high-energy acts made for a spectacular evening.

  • Always fun!

Second time we’ve seen Squirrel Nut Zippers. Always fun!

  • Good show, muddy sound

by Randy in Alex on 11/3/22Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

We saw the Squirrel Nut Zippers on Halloween night at the Birchmere. As they have gone in the spooky direction and less in the flapper-jazz direction, they were the perfect band to see. They hit all of the high points and played some new stuff as well. They quit after a mere hour and came back for three more pieces, just over an hour and 20 minutes. The sound was a bit loud and the vocals were indistinguishable from the music. A few items have been added to the menu, can recommend the sausage and pepper sub. Stay away from the sweet Pinot noir. Check in was well handled, given that it is supposed to be via phone, but there is no wifi or good cell service in the building.

  • Hallowe'en treat

by wizernow on 11/3/22Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

What energy! What music! What versatility! What a big, colorful sound these folks make! And they hardly every stop playing. Great horn section, fabulous piano, excellent percussion, plus the guitars, violin, and banjos. Who else plays a saw? Even a lovely cabaret singer with a great voice. Fun costumes for the occasion, too. One of our group didn't know the Squirrel Nut Zippers and hasn't stopped singing their praises. A great time was had by all.

  • SNZ at Ludlow Garage

by GAW 67 on 10/31/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The Squirrel Nut Zippers put on a “HELL” of a show. The venue was nice with very comfortable seating and awesome sound. Had a great time at the show.

  • Great fun with Squirrel Nut Zippers!

by Mike on 10/31/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The Squirrel Nut Zippers put an a great show! Their music makes you move, but with not much open space at Ludlow Garage it was mostly seat dancing. They are all great musicians, but Dr Sick wows with all kinds of instruments. Theirs is a show, a highly entertaining act, as well as a great concert.

  • Venue made everyone sit for a swing, dance band.

by Melbat on 10/31/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 2 out of 5

Squirrel Nut Zippers were great, like always. The venue was sitting room only. If I had known this, I would have never of bought tickets to sit for a dance band. I was immediately scolded by one of the venue's employees for "dancing in the emergency exit aisle way" even though the photographer was sitting on the floor for most of the show, blocking people from getting up to go to the bar/ restroom. I feel like I was treated unfairly. There were no signs or information explaining the rules. I was just at this same venue last month and dancing was allowed and encouraged. Please do not book any more "sitting room only" venues. That is the very reason why I bought tickets, so I could dance. Very sad.

  • Love love love

This is my second time seeing them in the same venue and once again the greatest. I’ve listened to them since they first came out and they are even better today!!!

  • Just good music

by Mike C on 10/30/22Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 4th or so time seeing them....small stage so not that much movement, but as always such great music...fun, toe tapping, danceable music. Multi talented....and willing to have fun performing. Go see them now! I do wish they played more from Perennial Favorites....like "Soon" or "My Drag" but, oh well...still fantastic

  • What a great show!

by Erin on 12/21/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The SNZ show was high energy, enjoyable and all around wonderful. We took our 14 year-old with us, one of her first concerts in a small venue like Ludlow Garage, and she was blown away by energy and also had a great time.

  • Great show in a fun venue!

by Mark on 12/21/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

First of all - seeing the Squirrel Nut Zippers is an experience...it's not a concert, it's a SHOW! They are perfect for a venue like the Ludlow Garage. Our seats were in the middle of the short, wide part; and we were perfectly positioned to see everything on stage. The sound was great, and we had a lot of fun. One tip - if you want to eat in the restaurant, get a reservation. They get busy on show nights.

  • Christmas show

by Nugget on 12/21/21Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The unique, retro swing sound of the Squirrel Nut Zippers was a high energy Christmas extravaganza enjoyed by the crowd of fans at Ludlow’s Garage. Fun times.
