Ever since her debut in the early '90s, comedy queen Sommore has had audiences falling out of their seats with her witty skits on the female perspective. Dubbed "a force to be reckoned with in the new millennium” by Oprah Winfrey, Sommore delivers her often-controversial jokes in a lighthearted manner and is never afraid to push the boundaries with her animated shows. Oozing with sass and style, her skits are as funny as ever as she hosts the 2014 Standing Ovation Tour, where she'll perform alongside a number of highly acclaimed comedians.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Atlanta-based comedian Sommore has been performing stand-up comedy for over 20 years, earning her first recognition in 1994 as host of BET's "Comic View." Since then, she's exploded onto the scene with a number of hit comedy performances, including the Guinness World Record-breaking "Queens of Comedy" tour alongside Laura Hayes, Mo'Nique, and Adele Givens. Not only has Sommore had a widely successful career as a female comedian, but she's also appeared on numerous talk shows and acted in many films and television series, proving she's an entertainer at heart. Back on the road for a string of highly anticipated shows, Sommore will have fans rolling on the floor with her latest stand-up routine.

Not what I expected seating chart was off in comparison to what was displayed when I purchased the tickets, DL hughley had the some of the same jokes he always tells he needs new lines. I have seen better amateur comedy shows with the exception of Sommore she was great.
Funny but shorter than i thought it would be. To tell you the truth, I'd rather see the show on cable then pay the $$ to see it in person.
Loved every minute of it it had all the comdieans that I loved at this event. It was funny as h# ll! Would truly go back when they come in town again
Sommore was great, I would go see her again. I like the fact that she was the headliner. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WITH EVERYTHING GOING ON TODAY WE ALL NEED SOME LAUGHTER. ME AND MY GIRL LOVED IT.
First of all I waited Over 40 minutes just to park in the parking lot.When me and wife got in the last act Sommore performed.We missed the rest of the show stuck in he parking lot.Second my favorite comic D L Hugley was only the host of show,if I knew that I would have not gone.Another comic I wanted to see Durey didnt even show up all in all a waste of time and money.I want a REFUND.
It was nice to see the comedians in person that are well known and seen on tv all the time, however, I felt that the show was really rushed. It also seemed to be not very organized. It felt like something that was thrown together. There was no music for the entrances of the comedians which really made the show seem dead. I was looking forward to seeing all of the comedians in person but it was a BIG let down. I have laughed more at the shows of local comedians (and paid less money).
I got to the Comedy Show at 8:40pm due to terrible traffic and I'm sure other's will agree. The traffic monitors were terrible which cause alot of people to get to this event late. Normally it would take me 30 minutes or less from my house. But due to traffic it took me an hour and 20 minutes. Once I got there I saw the last of George Wilburn and Sommore and it was over. So the show was short as well I spent $135. for two tickets for a show that lasted exactly 2 hours. I felt like I could have stayed home and grabbed a comedy dvd and got me a drink and saved some money, because it was not worth it.

The event was not well planned which George Willborn admitted to. Comics were not at their best except for Sommore. Event lack of a MC, music between comics, and was very short. Under 2 hours. The show started at *pm and my wife and I were at a Jazz club by 1040pm. DC Curry forgot to introduce the next comic and had to return to the stage. WOW! Not worth $75.00 per ticket plus $19.00 parking. A full refund is justified. Totally not what was expected once I heard the line-up.
I am a fan of all of the comedians. However, I thought their performances was short and a little boring. I think adding music to their intro would have pepped people up more. I would see them again even though this was not one of my favorite shows.
I bought the best tickets and the show was worth every penny. Go see it too you will Not be disappointed. Great Job! to all the comedians....
All the comedians were great. Truly had fun and will attend another when it comes to town.
What a wonderfl and funny as hell bunch of comedians!! I will see them AGAIN!!
The show was off the hook, All of the Comedians did a great job I laugh all night. The only thing I did not like is that the Arie Crown did not have any parking assisstance in the parking lot to constuct traffic after the show. We set in the parking lot for a hour before we got out.
Sommore and Bruce Bruce were absolutely hilarious! This was my first time seeing both of them live and they did not disappoint. The other two were so so. My only issue was not with the comedians but with the Times Union Center. We purchased our tickets late so we were way in the back and they did not have the rear speakers on so by the time we could hear the joke the entire crowd was in an uproar, really hard to hear.
The show was great. Sommore and Hugley were the best, I wish I had better seating. I also wished it was a little longer than two hours total for everything.
Great Show, with a Great Atmosphere, and the most important thing was that it started on time. Parking was horrible but everything else was great.
