"Mommy I like Sid on the TV much better" those are not the words I would hope to hear from my 4 1/2 yr old daughter. I imagined "Sid Live" would be a fun interactive performance. It was about discovering your 5 senses. Nothing memorable about it... I actually enjoy watching it on television more than on stage.Sound was a bit off, At times I could not make out what they were saying. I sat on the 2nd section behind orchestra seats. I was not too far back. There is a lot of singing. There is a mid break in between the performance, which is good for the kids. My suggestion would be the following: Include the audience in your quest to finding the 5 senses! Have a child come on stage, play different funny sounds and have the child guess what the sound is or have a character come down and have some sort of dialog with the audience. Add a bubble machine in your show, cue it in when the music begins and teacher "Susie" sings! (not sure of name spelling) have the bubbles come down kids love this! since there is a whole lot of singing instead of having the audience sit through it all include them, Have them join in, stand, jump, wave arms, This was done once only..towards the end of a song and it was actually the most fun my daughter had. She also liked the confetti at the end, more of that would have been nice. A chance to take a Picture with the Characters would be nice too!
