Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
We went to three different shows while in Vegas and this show was by far the best one. It was absolutely incredible and SO well done. Very easy to follow but also totally mind blowing. Would highly highly recommend anyone to see this show! Colin cloud was also phenomenal!
Shim Lin and Colin Cloud are both great entertainers and masters of their craft. I would definitely see that show numerous times.
Amazing magic with 3 big screens to give everyone close up view. I liked the storylines that made the show interesting and told Shin’s life. Shin and Colin were a great complement as the show moved quickly.
I'm kinda skeptical when it comes to magic. It's up there with the likes of Santa and the Tooth Fairy. The expression "Seeing is believing"really applies here, however. The entertainers were engaging and riveting. I was absolutely stunned! Go see this show! A packed auditorium cannot lie!
Shin Lim’s show offers smart combination of magic, music and stage lighting. Shin Lim’s close-up magic is simply magical. The show’s theme “limitless” and the story behind is inspiring. I would highly recommend this show to everyone.
It's a great show. Suitable for all family members. Shin's up close sleight of hand is fantastic. One minor quibble. Shin is a soft spoken person. Many times during the show he is speaking and then is music playing. Shin's mic needs to be turned up 10% or the music needs to be dialed down down 10%. Highly recommend.
My 10 year old daughter has loved Shin Lim since AGT so we got tickets to see his show for Christmas this year, it was a great experience, and Colin Cloud was just as great. Would absolutely recommend!
It was a fun experience that we mostly enjoyed. Seeing a magic show was something out of the ordinary for us- however Colin Cloud had the personality of the show. He was funny and entertaining. Shin Lim had fun tricks but was quite reserved.
Unbelievable magic show. A must see, when you are in Las Vegas.
Been a huge fan of Shin Lim and was super excited to see him perform live, but the most pleasant surprise was how much more I enjoyed Colin Cloud! He really made the show that much better, in fact. I was fortunate to get seats quite close to center stage, but they do a great job of incorporating spectators from around the entire theater, so there's a high chance you can get involved even if you're in a more obscure seat.
Shin Lim is a MUST SEE show in Las Vegas. His set is amazing and unpredictable, with delightful twist and turns along the way. Also, the opener is hilarious and has a great magic set of his own. Go see this great show with the entire family!
It was our first magic show but having seen Shin Lim’s tricks on AGT, we had high hopes and he did not disappoint. Very entertaining show, highly recommend. Get seats in the middle section for best viewing angle!

It’s the must-have-once-a-lifetime kind of experience. It’s surreal and touching. Dramatic, dynamic, yet subtle and delicate. It’s not the typical magic show you saw elsewhere, but a personal magical journey that one cannot miss. Both Shin and Colin are young but best of the best magicians. I can only imagine how much more they can bring to the world in the future.
There’s good shows in Vegas, there’s great shows in Vegas, and then there’s Shin Lim. Shin Lim is in a category all by himself. There was no low point during his entire show. From the first magic trick throughout the story line, up until his last trick, his performance was absolutely mind blowing. He captivated us with every word he spoke, his mannerisms, his command of the stage, his interaction with all of the spectators was the epitome of true showmanship, professionalism & entertainment. I give the most harshest reviews for any time I choose to give a review which is rare & I have never given a review this high. It’s not 5 star, it’s not 10 star, Shin Lim gives you an entire world of stars! This is the only show I plan to see more than once!
We had an amazing time! Colin Cloud was terrific getting the show started and the crowd livened up. Shin Lim’s tricks were fantastic. We saw four shows this trip and this was our favorite. I highly recommend seeing the show!

Both performers were fantastic. I’m so happy we went. I’m fascinated by how the mentalist does what he does and Shin Lim’s sleight of hand is beyond amazing. I’ve been following g him since his AGT win. A really fun evening. I’d go again!
