Shin Lim on Tour

Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.

There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.

Shin Lim Background

Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.

He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.

My family watched AGT when he won. When my husband and I booked this trip and looking at all the things we wanted to do; to see that Shin Lim was performing in the same resort that we booked at, I was ecstatic. Unforgettable show for us. Thank you

Shin Lim exceeded my expectations. He amazed the audience from the start until the end of his show. I loved the hands on card trick he did, at the start of his show, with the audience. AMAZING! I highly recommend seeing his show.

This was my third time seeing the show, the last time was 4 years ago, and I was disappointed that there wasn't anything new.

  • Great way to spend a night in Vegas!

by Johnny on 9/28/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I knew of Shin Lim from AGT. Some friends and I decided to go see his show on a whim during a recent trip to Vegas and wow were we not disappointed! The show is not what we were expecting, but did not disappoint nonetheless. Shin's mastery of magic and card tricks was even better in person and his wife amazed as an acrobat for the show! We were even pleasantly surprised with the musical trick performed by Shin and Mackenzie Sol from American Idol. Mackenzie impressed with his live vocals and Shin's precision was insane! Expect the unexpected when seeing this show and prepare to be amazed!

  • A Masterclass in Magic and Entertainment.

Don't even think twice, just go see this show. Shin Lim and Stuart Macleod are an incredible duo. Stuart is hilarious and a fantastic showman, getting the crowd warmed up and laughing throughout the night. Then, Shin Lim comes out and does things with a deck of cards that are simply impossible. His skill is on another level. It's a perfect show with great pacing, amazing talent, and a ton of fun. Highly, highly recommend!

I saw Shin Lim on AGT and was amazed. We saw him in Las Vegas and he absolutely blew us away! He is just phenomenal! We paid extra to be in the VIP section and it was well worth it as we were part of the first trick. What a fabulous show! Do NOT miss this show!

Went to see Shin Lim up close since we had seen him on AGT when he won that season that he was a part of. He was sensational then on AGT and is even more amazing seeing him in person. The large screens make it very easy to see from anywhere in the theatre. He is truly an amazing magician.

  • Just Meh

by Cid on 9/21/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

The guy opening for him was more entertaining. I wouldn't watch this again and I wouldn't recommend it. Watch his YouTube videos and it's the same. The final experience was cool, but that's about it.

  • Excellence

His show was superior. Even his MC was great. My only complaint would be that the sound was not high enough for those of us who are hearing impaired.
