Shin Lim on Tour

Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.

There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.

Shin Lim Background

Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.

He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.

  • Exciting Interactive Show that will have you thinking

by Hosslin on 6/23/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Very exciting show. Theater is much more intimate than his previous residency. The acts were very exceiting and really had you thinking. Live sound was muffled at times but you could still hear them, just a bit garbled. Tricks really had you thinking, "How did he do that?"A lot of audience interaction. Second time seeing him. I'd pay to see him again.

  • Disappointed

I was really looking forward to his show, I watched AGT and I was amazed by his performances. Unfortunately the show needs some work, Shim looked tired , he made mistakes it looked like he was going through the motions not enjoying himself.

  • Fantastic

by Christian on 6/22/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show as a whole was quite good. A lot of card tricks so they were shown in close up on the big screens. The audience trick worked for everyone in my section. Staff was also great. A wonderful evening.

  • Date night

by AGT FAN on 6/20/25Rating: 5 out of 5

We went for a date night and had an absolutely fantastic time! The show was mind-blowing. We especially loved the interactive moments, like when the cards came together on their own or when Clairvoyants took objects directly from the audience and somehow knew exactly what we were thinking. The part where they guessed numbers was unreal. Such a fun and magical evening, we’re still talking about it!

  • Not what you'd expect, but better!

by Jim on 6/20/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Limitless at the last minute on a whim and was expecting to see a Shin Lim card trick based show - what I knew and enjoyed from the countless YouTube clips out there. What you get is more than that! Shin shares the stage with various other performers as he retells the journey that brought him to where he is today. There's the usual incredible card tricks performed by Shin, some illusion work as well (with a nod to a great film and score mixed in), mesmerizing aerial acrobatics performed by his talented wife, and masterful mentalism by a rotating slate of Mentalists. But the real surprise for me was when Mackenzie Sol of American Idol came on stage to perform a musical magic act with Shin. The live vocals were insane, and the way Mackenzie and Shin were in perfect sync completely live - sleight of hand to musical performance - was incredible! The compliment of the two performers was true magic! Honestly wish there would be more of that pair (Mackenzie and Shin) in the show. I had never heard the song before but it made sense perfectly for the act. Well done Shin, Mackenzie, and the whole gang on an incredible show! Looking forward to seeing it again! Highly recommend.

  • Ok but lacked energy

by Nonicknameneeded on 6/18/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Some of the magic and mentalism were good. In general the show lacked energy. The breaks between sets felt forced and in the case of the woman on rings was not good. Perhaps it was because we were so close but some of the sleight of hand was not so slight. Some of the card tricks were very good though. For the first night in Vegas it was a decent outing.

  • Breathtaking Illusions & Masterful Showmanship!

Shin Lim delivers pure magic every time—-I’ve seen the show twice & it’s nothing short of extraordinary. There was never a dull moment watching Shin Lim performs on stage, from AGT, Mirage LV to Palazzo LV. Absolutely a mind-blowing show!

  • Gobsmacked!

  • Limitless just got even better!

by BBDD on 6/9/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen the show a couple of times, but this time with The Clairvoyants in the cast wow. Their act truly feels like real magic. The mind readers before were good but you could still find some kind of explanation. With The Clairvoyants there’s just no way to explain what they do. Everyone was talking about it on the way out to the casino! The rest of the show is also fantastic. Shin Lim is not only an incredible magician but also has such a unique and likable character on stage. And his wife Casey adds an amazing touch with her beautiful and powerful acrobatic act. A perfect mix of magic, mind-reading, and visual artistry. I’ll definitely be back!

  • So much better than the mirage

by Sean Evans on 6/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Wow, the best show on the strip, I watched it with Colin cloud before at the mirage and it was terrible, as Colin ruined the show with his incredibly cringe hair and bland magic. Now at the palazzo this show is brand new with Shins incredible performance and his new openers are increidble and the best thing you’ll see in vegas

  • Amazed... loved it!

  • Best Magic Night in Vegas

by CC on 6/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Came to Limitless to see Clairvoyants. Such an amazing show from start to finish. Their act was mind-blowing, and I’d love to see even more from them in the future. Shin and Casey were great and the singer was fantastic too. Overall, I think this is the best magic show in Las Vegas right now.

  • Incredible! A must see

by Caz on 6/4/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

We had tickets to Rod Stewart which got cancelled hours before, disappointed, we booked to see Shin Lim as heard some people talking about the show. The cancellation turned out to be a blessing - the show was incredible! Great crowd participation opportunities and unbelievable talent. Will be the first thing I recommend to see when going to Vegas!
