So colorful, ultra creative, super entertaining and promotes morality! It was worth every dime. Will definitely see again in the future.

This was my 4th time attending the Shen Yun Ballet. As expected, I was once again blown away by the beauty, the energy, the athleticism, the talent, and foundational spirituality of the various stories and songs. I tell everyone how no shows are ever the same. This year was no exception. I will make every effort to attend each year that it comes to town.

The show was fantastic. Unfortunately, the porters allowed people to sit wherever they wanted, so we were frequently interrupted when the ticket holder arrived at their seats, only to find them occupied by someone else.

Beautiful dancing and colorful outfits! Absolutely loved this show! I read lots of negative reviews and was nervous about going. But I loved it! People were comparing it to cirque solee but that's comparing apples to oranges. There were some religious/political parts but it told their story. And the background stuff I found hilarious. I really enjoyed it. The live orchestra was great. The announcers were funny, the costumes beautiful, the dancing spectacular! Loved it and would recommend going!

I ended up loving Shen Hun but in the first half, I found myself getting a little bored. However, the second half brought me back to life with the stories much easier to interpret and the costumes and dancing were more than I ever imagined. The colors in the costumes and the choreography....well, I couldn't take my eyes off the stage. Overall, I give it a thumbs up.

The show was wonderful. The vivid colors of the costumes and the story telling/history behind each dance was enlightening.

Don’t believe the hype! That show was boring! It had a couple beautiful scenes but I couldn’t wait for it to over..

I was honestly underwhelmed with this show. The advertising and hype really had me looking forward to it, but in reality, it was very long with repetitive choreography and costumes. There were a couple of mediocre vocalists intermingled with the dancing; this broke it up some. This show is advertised as "China before communism", which was very appealing to me because I think their culture is rich and interesting. However, the vocalists' songs were subtitled, and the message in the lyrics was all about Dafa, which is a fairly new (1990s) spiritual movement. Last of all, the actors/dancers were not traveling in the United States from China, they all live in New York. Overall, it was moderately entertaining; the dresses and costumes were lovely, and I loved the music, but the experience was overpriced in my opinion.

I didn't know what to expect. Youtube ads actually got me this time. I was looking to see a live show and a Shen Yu commercial showed up. I love the Chinese art style of dance and I'd never seen an animated background used in a way that created depth with the actors seemingly jumping in an out of pictures. Beautiful, vibrant costume design. Then came the propaganda. Twice they referred to atheism and evolution as evil and the causes for a loss of hope in the world. I'm neutral on the former. But evolution is just a basic observable fact. As long as you don't mind the attack on your brain cells in those moments, it wasn't a bad showing.

The Shen Yum 2024 was Outstanding. The Tgeatrical Art of each person did an exceptional work on their performance. The solos were equally beautiful. The pianist did a wonderful piece on the music which was chosen. Everyone was great. Our prayers are with you. Thank you for giving such a performance in Sacramento, the Capital State of California.

Great for kids under 10. Love the colors but not really extraordinary.

I knew immediately that this show was going to be spectacular once they opened the curtain and the smoke began to flow. This show is filled w/ vivid colors that bring joy alone and detailed yet simplistic costuming. The synchronization of the dancers was highly impressive and had me in awe. I loved that they had narrators who not only gave storylines for the various dances but they gave insight on the culture of the people as well. The show was all inclusive in that they had dancers and also included an excellent soprano soloist, a baritone solo, and a musical instrumental solo. I was quite impressed also with the imagery shown on the screen that gave the appearance of interactive media. Would definitely attend again; Must See.

Overall it was a beautiful show - dance performances, costume, music, and the design of the background screen. I appreciate the two hosts explaining each piece beforehand. It was very helpful to have staff directing traffic in the restroom and at the end of the show. The big reason for the 3-star rating was lack of coherence. This show would be so much richer if there were a storyline weaving one performance to the next. Without that, a big piece felt missing. It's unlikely I'll watch it again.

The show had flore. However, it met my very low expectations.

A great experience began with the easy reserving of excellent seats and parking pass. Staff at the door and in the theater were friendly and helpful, especially Karl at the end of the night when he offered to take pictures in the lobby for all who wanted. The actual program was amazing and the time went by so fast (even with intermission) you forgot you were sitting for a couple of hours. The stories were magical and relatable. The dancing was beautiful, poetic and meaningful and the costumes were colorful and flowing. The dancers were very skilled in the ballet, tumbling and acrobatic techniques. Their body movements and facial expressions were so expressive. You could feel their energy! We really enjoyed the background digital interactive screen that brought the stories to life. It was magical and you felt as if you were there. We appreciated and loved the messages in all of the stories. We look forward to next year and what new stories and dances that will be represented. At first I was a little skeptical because I'm more of a rock concert / sporting event type of guy, but I was blown away by Shen Yun. The vivid colors and the amazing talent of the performers was amazing. It totally made for a top notch evening of entertainment. I'd love to see the show again!!

1/3 of the way, much of the performance began to look the same, just different costumes.

The performers were excellent, absolutely amazing. I wondered if there is an outlet to purchase the music so I could enjoy it later?

Beautiful costumes, dancers awesome, musicians the best. Venue was very nice, Would go again
