Jamaican-American rapper and singer Shaggy exploded on the music scene in 2001 with the smash single "It Wasn't Me" off the multi-platinum selling album Hot Shot. The album also featured the single, "Angel," and helped launch Shaggy into international stardom where tickets for his live act were a hot draw, including memorable concerts with Natalie, Cyndi Lauper, Rupee and Fay-Ann Lyons. In addition to touring the world, Shaggy has also performed at several high-profile events, including the opening ceremony of the inaugural Champions League Twenty20 and the closing ceremony of the 2009 IPL tournament in South Africa. Following the release of a new album in 2013, it's expected that Shaggy will tour again with fellow musicians. Blessed with a unique, stylistic voice and featuring dancing and Jamaican influences in his act, Shaggy has sold hundreds of thousands of tickets. Shaggy collaborated with producing duo Sly and Robbie for the release of his latest album, "Out of Many, One Music." The album features several guest appearances, including Ne-Yo, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Konshens and Jimmy Cozier. "Out of Many, One Music" features the lead single, "Fight This Feeling," in addition to "Make Up" and "She Gives Me Love." Collectively, Shaggy has produced 12 studio albums over his 20-year career.
Shaggy was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and lived there until his family relocated to Brooklyn. He enlisted in the US Marines, but music was his true passion. While serving in the military, he gained inspiration for his first hit, "Boombastic." It wasn't until 2000, though, when Shaggy became an international sensation with the multi-platinum selling "Hot Shot." The singer/rapper has captivated audiences over a long and productive career and will continue to entertain select stages across the globe in 2014.

Mr Lover Lover- Shaggy was amazing, he held the audience attention! As a fellow Jamaican and a Libra, I was totally entertained. He turned up his Libra charm. Girls and Guys were screaming, and singing along. Shaggy-Bouy mi a tell yu, fi 45, yu can whine. Everyone need to check out Shaggy guest appearance in Lady Saw video "heels on". He looks so sexy.
The concert was great but started an hour late. Unfortunately, I left before Morgan Heritage. It was 1am on Tuesday and Morgan Heritage had not performed yet. My was my only disappointment. The was suppose to start at 9. I love going to shows at B.B. Kings because 95% of the time the start on time and end at decent time.
Was So excited to find out last minute that Morgan Heritage was in town. Their website had them performing in Florida that night but hey, things change. Well, wherever they were, they weren't @ BB Kings. No one even mentioned that night on stage that they weren't there. Not cool. I called BB Kings and they said it was a WBLS problem. I called WBLS and they said they would get back to me. That hasn't happened. Respect. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time any way. Lots of beautiful people with a great vibe. However, as a woman of a certain age, I noticed a lot of other people my age and could only imagine that they were disappointed as well.
Show was late in starting but the DJ was playing such good music that you didn't mind at all. Shaggy was surprisingly a very good performer and hyped the crowd and then it was smooth sailing from there- Red fox and Rayvon did their thing, Wayne Wonder had hits for days, Gyptian was alright but he could've done better and then Vegas closed it out with a bang! Him dun di place!!
Fun and amazing I really enjoyed myself and loved the vibes and music.
First off the show began after 11 pm after the ticket and promotion said 10pm showtime. then they had the audacity to bring out an opening act first after 11:30 to start the show. REALLY!?*#% The time was NOT evenly distributed as Serani's set went longer than others. Gyptian came out for a minutue (literally). They cut Cham off the mic because it was time to close I guess. So needless to say the show was a rip off. Yes all artist came out but the time spent on stage did NOT justify the ticket cost. Won't make the mistake of going to another show like this again
stunk! waist of time and money. billed as shaggy concert - three lines of a few songs. Too much yelling, went to hear good music.
Shaggy, serani, and gyptian were each up for about 10 minutes and none of them played a full song! So disappointing! Unfortunately, not worth the time or money.
The worst concert (if you could call it a concert) I ever went to. If you like to hear 30 seconds of your favorite song with Shaggy spending 20 seconds of it with his back to you, then this is the show for you. I want my time and money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The biggest disappointment ever!!! I don't want to go to a Shaggy concert ever again! I have been a Shaggy fan for many years. Love his music, love his voice, I have all his cds. When I heard he was coming to town, I had to be there. What a mistake! The concert was supposed to start around 10, he didn't show up until 1:00. Until then we had to endure a lot of no-name singers performing. And they were bad. Then, after hours of waiting and standing, finally Shaggy showed up. He was on stage for less than half an hour. He did not sang one song. He started maybe 3-4 of his songs, then he let the audience finish the songs for him. In between the songs, he was talking a lot of nonsense. I remember hearing the F word several times. Then when a pretty young woman came up to sing, who was actually a decent singer, he was standing behind her and with the help of the microphone he tried to express his sexual desire toward the woman. At this point I was disgusted. I might be too old, (exactly as old as Shaggy) or too old fashioned, but when I go to a concert, I go there to listen to an ARTIST. Unfortunately, that is not what I got here. It was awful, awful, awful!!! In the future I am only going to listen to his CDs, but no more Shaggy concert. No thank you. I can't wait until Beres Hammond comes to Orlando. I know when I go to his concert I will see an ARTIST, I will be entertained, and I will enjoy every moment of it.
I was really excited to go to this show considering that it was coordinated by the same organizer of Beres Hammond last month. I thought this was very poorly done. The biggest disappointment was how unprofessional it came across. There were a large number of people on stage watching the performance and the DJs seemed unprepared and the intro acts failed to energize the crowd. Notably, Barrington Levy, a well known and respected artist only performed 2 songs. Shaggy's performance was awful; he was unnecessarily crass and talked through most of his performance. I expected a great deal more from a Mr. CC Production.
I cannot believe I paid $45 for a ticket, plus drive an hour, plus paid to park, plus paid for over-priced drinks and this show was a disaster. The first performers were lame not tomention all the sound issues and odd cutting off of songs. No band, just a lame dj. Reminded me of a high-school talent show. The sound quality sucked, the stage looked like it was prepared in 5 min. and the headliners came on last minute for less than 20 min each. They were okay if you even count that as a performance. What a wasted night, would have been better watching Shaggy & Barrington videos on youtube at my house.
First off, this was my first time at the Hard Rock Cafe. Sadly, I was disappointed. I paid money for balcony seats to hear the ARTISTS sing, not the AUDIENCE sing. Not only did all the artists rely on the audience to sing their songs, but all the artists did NOT sing a complete song. The DJs/engineers were as much to blame as the artists. Simply put, they are NOT skilled. The bass was too high, so much so that the singers couldn't even hear themselves sing - when they weren't asking their audience to do it for them. And their equipment kept acting up all night (What's the point of mic and music checks BEFORE the show, people?) What definitely wasn't appreciated was the scratching of the record to switch to another song. Thanks for enabling the ADHD artists to NOT focus on completing even one damn song. I came to hear Shaggy sing and the man had the indencency to show up LATE and then not give my money's worth of songs.
Rupiee, Gyptian and Sarian where great. Barington Lvey sounded GREAT but performed for less than 20 mins and this is UNACCEPTABLE. Shaggy sounded good, but kept stopping, didn't perform an entire song. I felt that the" :headliners" where disappointing. Overall was disorganized, at the end people standing at the back of the stage was distracting
Too many minor artist, did not need the dance group. Barrington level and shaggy shoul have had longer to sing especially Mr. Levy.
Disorganized Poor sound quality - unable to clearly hear performance Cheap - DJ using tracks, no live band Headlines took stage too late - very short sets Artists advertised did not perform
Was looking forward to seeing Barrington Levy and Shaggy; only to find out there wasn't a live band, only DJ's. Secondly, they only performed for like 20 minutes each. The concert "started" at 10 pm, felt like Barrington & Shaggy were rushed on and off stage starting at 1 a.m. so the concert would be finished no later 2 a.m.
Never would attend any of CC shows again. Barrington was great and left right after his performance. After seeing some very unprofressional opening acts for 2 hours, I knew they were just talking to prolong the show because no one was going to show Shame shame. Overall the best thing from the concert was my hardrock cafe cup. NEVER EVER EVER again mr CC
This was my first....and last time I will ever attend a show featuring Shaggy. The entire show was so long because it began with a poor line-up of preview singers who bored us to death....for hours!! There was one lady I would recommend...Alaina I think is her name. Gyptian - FABULOUS!!! Barrington - Great as usual, but had the shortest segment. Along comes Shaggy.....who had the crowd do all the singing for him, with the help of a deejay and a CD!!! Not even a live band!!! I came to hear Shaggy....not the crowd. This was not a performance.
