About

Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

  • She Hasn't Skipped A Beat

by NiseyAtl1 on 7/4/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah still has the most angelic voice! Very crisp and clear... her warm energy radiated throughout the evening! Feist was her opening artist and was the perfect Opening Artist for Sarah because she set the tone for the evening nicely! My only complaint is with the Venue, parking is THE WORST which is why I don't book concerts there often.... either than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

  • Sarah is great but maybe bit slow for 2 hours live

by JoeO on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I've been a fan of Sarah since the late 90's. I own 6 of her cds. As much as I like her music, I don't think playing all of "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy"is a good live concert decision, even if it is the 30th anniversary. Let's face it, there are some slow, deep songs in there. Not exactly the high-energy, fun songs of a rock show. Perhaps 2 hours of Sarah is just a bit much live, unlike in the 90's at Lilith Fair where she maybe played an hour? That said, the sound mix was excellent - overall volume was good, the mix was good, ie, guitars were not too loud, drums were not overpowering, vocals were a good volume. The songs were all performed very well, and Sarah has an excellent voice.

  • Beautiful event and an amazing artist!!

by Nora on 7/3/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

It's was a great evening. Nice staff, organized venue amazing artist. The only thing is that the area you pick up the chairs needs to be posted so we know where we can get them and have a baner or something so we can see it. But everything was nice!

  • Sarah is the best singer/songwriter in history!

by Jean H on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to 5 concerts with her in 3 States. This last concert was by far the best concert she has done! She seemed to be having as much fun as all of her fans! She is unique, mesmerizing and hypnotic when she performs. Her music, her stories, her goddess like moves make you leave all of the worldly troubles behind as you move into her performance with her. An unbelievable performer and no one else has ever been so unique. She is incredible! Hard to believe one person could have so much talent. It too me 3 days to come down from the high of this concert. Thank you Sarah! What a gift you are!

  • There's only ONE Sarah!!!

by Hawk on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Despite the concert being performed in a climate one would expect in Borneo mid-summer it was absolutely amazing! I've seen Sarah several times since the 90's and she's lost none of her charm, beauty and artistic excellence! Her music is timeless and she remains in my opinion the greatest female entertainer of all time! Her voice is stunningly captivating, and her range is unbelievable (especially when she sings "Fear")!! I'd rank this as one of my Top 3 concerts of my life (Queen and Rolling Stones being the other 2)...if you get the chance please go and see her in concert - you won't be disappointed!

  • Seats are so uncomfortable

by JS on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The view at Chastain was fine but the seats are just so unbearable. Bring something to sit on

  • Extraordinary!!!!

by Marisa on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

There aren’t words to describe how glorious the evening was. Sarah’s voice, message, humility, artistry, connection to her audience was beyond magnificent! Enchanting experience indeed. 🤩!!

  • One of the best performances I’ve seen

by Maria on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah was spectacular!!! Her voice is celestial! She is so talented and accepting of her fans. What a peaceful experience to be there and learn about her journey through her music. Ah, did I mentioned she looked gorgeous!

  • Beautiful setting, artist & sound

by Shel on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great sound! My one call for improvement would be to offer upscale non-alcoholic cocktails.

  • Sarah was great and LiveNation Employer was the BEST

by Fan Girl on 7/3/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

An unbearably hot outdoor concert and Hal S. kept checking on me and bringing me ice cubes. He was so helpful and cheery helping people find their seats. He is a gem of an employee. Sarah is always great.

  • Never disappointed seeing Sarah!

by Katy Mac on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’m a longtime fan of Sarah McLachlan. And she never disappoints. She looked and sounded beautiful as ever. She’s always so fun, lovely, and personable. And her singing is always so pure and passionate. I’m so thankful to have been able to attend this special anniversary (30th of Fumbling Toward Ecstasy) in Nashville.

  • Inspiring performance

by Linda on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I last saw Sarah live at the first year of Lilith Fair. Her performance for this 30th anniversary of Fumbling Toward Ecstasy was even better that experience. Her interactions with the audience was genuine and easy. But that voice - stronger than ever. Her songs still touch the soul and reignited my love for this awesome performer.

  • Stunning!!

by Heather on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely the best concert I have ever been to! I have seen hundreds of artists over the years, but Sarah trumped every single one! Her voice is even better years later! How does that work? She made an open aired concert feel personal with her connection to the audience. Absolutely amazing experience

  • Ascend Amphitheatre, staff and crowd awful!

by Venue ruined the night. on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Will never attend another concert at Ascend amphitheater in Nashville. The crowd were terrible and the venue and crowd ruined my experience. The woman from Feist was amazing and felt bad for her. She was trying to get the crowd involved and just terrible. She was amazing and I became a friend. The VIP experience was nice with the items Sarah gave her fans, and the sound check was the best part. Nashville and the Ascend was an awful experience!!! Sarah’s voice and performance was beautiful. I wish I had waited and went and saw her the next day in Atlanta. Ameris Bank Amphitheater is so much better and the crowd.

  • The first time Sarah McLachlan concert goer

by Barney on 7/2/24Merriweather Post Pavilion - ColumbiaRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan’s voice only got stronger as the night went on. She entertains the excited crowd playing hit after hit after hit which most of the crowd enjoyed singing along to. Her explanations about songs and their meetings was heartfelt, and she seem like a very genuine performer, who loves her audience.

  • Wonderful!!

by Wendy on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

She always puts on a great show. She never disappoints. I really loved seeing her again. Wonderful voice!!

  • Aging like fine wines

by CC on 7/2/24Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What a special evening… my goodness, these two artists put on quite a show. This show filled my heart and blew me away. Will go see them each again anytime I am able.

  • Amazing

by Mel on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice stands the test of time! What an amazing show!! Loved every minute!

  • Sarah McLachlan

by Wairia on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Sarah was amazing as always. However whomever books Ascend and Nissan Stadium should make sure they are not both having concerts the same night. The Nissan stadium concert made it hard to hear at some points. It was chaotic between the 2 when both were playing and the fireworks going off at the stadium. When you are wanting to Hear your music it makes it distracting.

  • Fantastic duo

by Amy on 7/2/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I applaud Sarah & Feist for braving the heat in such a fantastic venue. It was a pleasure & honor to watch them. My only gripe was the cost of food, so I would suggest you eat beforehand.
