About

Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

  • Iconic Album in Its Entirely

by D.R. on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan celebrates the 30th anniversary of her third album, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, which made her an international star. It's my personal favorite of hers. Before playing through the album in its entirety, she performed a string of hits from throughout her career, which was a nice way to warm up and build the suspense. Her voice is as exquisite as ever, and her five-piece backing band provided a full sound.

  • Such a great time

by Cindy on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

She was wonderful! Giving back stories to her songs and being personable to the audience made it such a great time! She is as beautiful and sings as beautifully as ever!

  • Amazing concert

I bought these tickets for my mom because she is a huge fan of Sarah. We both loved the show. Totally worth the money. So fun!

  • Sarah’s still got it!

by Kerry in Dallas on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice is still amazing. Her stage presence is still captivating. She connects with the audience and knows who we are. I enjoyed her storytelling. And I love her music today as much as I did during Lilith Fair.

  • What a beautiful experience

by Mikey on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Sarah McLachlan 25+ years ago when Lilithfair was touring. I can say that this was one of the most beautiful, amazing concerts I’ve ever been too. Her voice is angelic and still has that heavenly punch that takes your breath away. I’ll never forget this concert. Thank you Sarah! Xoxo

  • She sounds better than ever!

by NordTexan on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Never been to this venue, but had covered seats in the middle. The place has good parking, very nice views, great sound quality and lots of food/beverage options. But the performance Sarah put on was by far the best I've heard from here, going back 20 years. I didn't see the original Fumbling tour, but I don't even know that she made it to Dallas. She sounded amazing, and hasn't lost a beat on her musical abilities. I also credit this concert with being one of the top 3-4 that I've seen in my life. If the tour had more stops beyond this weekend, I would travel to see it again.

  • Sarah is Angelic and a Goddess

by Vinny on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Sarah McLachlan in Irving Tx. July 3rd. This was my second time to see Sarah live. It is always a great show. Her voice is like no other. Sarah is so personable and explains to her crowd the meaning and reasoning behind her songs lyrics. Such an angel and goddess. Will see her whenever I have the opportunity to do so.

  • Helps if you’re already a fan

by Not a fan on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 2 out of 5

I went to hear Sarah McLachlan on July 3 and had a pleasant enough time. Admittedly I’m not a fan of hers. I do however LOVE Jim Gaffigan’s reference to her animal activism “being a little heavy handed”. I recognized a few of her songs and the others all blurred together in her vocal-style sameness. The exception to this is her song “Fear”. This song stood out at different and interesting. What I truly enjoyed was her honest and humble chatter between songs. I liked the sentiment of music uniting us, leaving differences of religion and politics aside, however she later became political and said, “celebrate pride”. I also found it incredibly sad the way the crowd erupted into laughter at her story of pain and then later cheering at her story of her divorce. The crowd sucked. My friend and I had to move from our seats 4 times because of various obnoxious and rude behavior near us keeping us from being able to listen to the music. The venue was FANTASTIC. It was the venue that allowed me to have a pleasant experience despite not really liking Sarah’s style. Sarah’s vocal talents mesh well with piano and acoustic guitar but the electric guitar riffs were overpowering and detracting from the effect.

  • A wonderful experience

by Rey on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan is one of those performers that can be seen over and over. The 30th anniversary of her Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album was magical and just as good as the original FTE tour, I was there. Sarah was delightfully funny and engaging with her audience. Feist was also great as this was the first time seeing her live.

  • Lawn Seats in the Summer

by No Lawn on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 3 out of 5

If you are going to a show here in the summer, check ahead of time to see if they are selling lawn seats. The venue is uncomfortably hot until about 10pm when the back is open to lawn seats.

  • Beyond Words

by Lee-Lee on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

The Sarah McLachlan show I saw in Irving, Tx took my breath away. The VIP experience was amazing. Venue was great and of course, Sarah was out of this world. I can’t recommend her enough.

  • Welcome Back Sarah

by comet69 on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful show. Make sure you catch the opener Feist who has an amazing voice and great songs. Sarah sang beautifully, interacted with audience, filled us in on what she had been doing over the last few years. Sang a new song. Was refreshing and filled with joy. Great show !!!!

  • Sarah is iconic

by miss_mapen on 7/6/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan simply cannot disappoint. She picked an incredible opener to start, Feist, who you must download if you haven’t. Then when Sarah comes out in all her glory looking like she has been hiding the fountain of youth from the rest of us, she begins a long set of incredible music. She covered several albums and I couldn’t help but be moved to tears at her emotional performance. She truly feels each and every word and makes her stories, our stories. She is perfect and a wonderful person outside of her talent. I never miss a performance when she is near. This time I flew to Texas to see her with my sister. This music got us through many years and experiences. Don’t miss her performance and download her music for an incredible experience for your ears:)

  • Surprisingly Excellent

by Bitterbug on 7/4/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This attendance was only due to my wife's desire to see this artist. Though I love Sarah and her music, I never figured a concert of hers would be worth going to. Honestly, I always thought what a bore one of her shows would be. I was so wrong in my thinking. The complete show was beyond excellent and every song had me mesmerized. Vocally, this was the best concert that I've attended. Her voice was unreal and again I was mesmerized. Now I'm ready to see her again. 😘

  • Amazing performance

by Fave album on 7/4/24Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah was incredible. Top vocals, tons of songs, and Fumbling is hands down my all-time fave. Also appreciated the live video back screen. The venue had very tiny side screens and didn’t zoom in on the performer. (What good does a screen do if the subject is no larger?) Cadence Amphitheater as a venue was pretty bad. Was there over an hour early and still missed the opener (Feist!) waiting in line to park. I’m not sure folks after us even had a place to go—we had one of the last spots in the whole neighborhood at a nearby school. Don’t offer seating if you can’t accommodate mass transit or parking! People can’t apparate.

  • Outstanding
