About

Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

  • Just WOW!!

by GM on 10/21/25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

What an intimate event, with insights to songs and Sarah. Her voice is simply amazing and full of emotion! Despite being at the Calgary Saddledome, the sound quality / mixing was reminiscent to concerts at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Highly recommend seeing Sarah!

Ticketmaster should know these were partial obstruction seats - could not see media center stage. Sarah and her band were excellent.

Exceptional concert. Her voice so incredible after fumbling towards ecstasy released over 30 years later (wow…so hard to believe) Has always been one of my favorite albums!!!

  • She is AMAZING!!!!!!

This was my 7th time seeing her, I have been attending her concerts for 30 years. She is absolutely, hands down, my favorite female artist. Her vocals are haunting, powerful and brought me to tears more than a few times. She is personable and engages the audience and I can't suggest strongly enough to those who haven't seen her live, GO!!! It's so rare to see an artist perform live who sounds as good as their recorded music. She, in my opinion, sounds better. Exceptional show as always!!!!

  • Amazing!!!!

This was one of the "closest to the stage"concerts I have ever attended. I just saw Sarah in June at The Mann in Philly. I go to see her any time I can, I have traveled to Pittsburg and Scranton to see her. This was my 12th Sarah concert. It was surreal to be so close and to be in the section right in front of her. I absolutely am in awe of her angelic voice, her fantastic songwriting and her generous heart. Apparently sh had a cold and only disclosed that toward the end of the concert when she was literally losing her voice. She was fantastic and hung on to perform for us. She had a beautiful songbird backing her up. Thank you Sarah for yet another fantastic concert, Much love and I hope you take care of your beautiful instrument and feel better soon.

excellent... top shelf.. humble.. engaging... warm... spirited.. right on the musical mark... a great smile filled show.. awesome sound.. seats.. length.. sarah is an all time favorite of mine... the band was very tight..they rocked nearly every song that wasn't sarah solo... totally love her.. what a talent.. a pleasure to be in audience of this sweet angel. .. add her to my personal list of 3 of the best performering acts ever Barry Manilow, Brit Floyd, and now Sarah Mclachlan... can't wait to hear Alan Parsons Project Live ..a possible #4 ? a trio called 'tiny habits'was the opening act.. the 3 provided some very nice CSN reminiscent type harmonies w/acoustic guitar but really needed their full ensemble in a 4000 seat venue...

I was lucky enough to catch Sarah’s concert in AC last Friday. 💜 Yes, she started getting hoarse towards the end of the concert (which I’m sure some awful person out there may comment on), but it was still an absolutely AMAZING concert!! She could have sung only 2-3 songs and I would STILL say it was amazing!!! 🤩 Her commentary between song was the BEST, and her voice is just MAGICAL. Which leads me to also highlight the backup singer (I can’t remember her name 🤦‍♀️) who was equally amazing - lending extra support towards the end!! Sarah & friends - come back to NJ, I’ll be there!!!! 😊

  • a true artistic

One of my all time favorite concerts! She was classy, sounded just like her album- took me back to my youth! Her band and vocalist were top notch!

  • Awesome Show

by HMT on 10/28/24Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Sara McLachlin is just amazing live now as she was 30 years ago. She is one of the few artists I have seen who sounds just as good on stage as she does in the recordings. It was a great show.

  • Amazing as usual!

by BT on 10/28/24Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah was amazing. Put on a great (and long) co cert despite having a cold. Paid for the upgrade for the sound check session and it was so much better and longer than expected. Her band was amazing too!

  • An amazing night

by Debbie on 10/28/24Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Sick or not, Sarah McLachlan is always amazing!!! I had the VIP sound check package and it was really cool to watch them set up. You got to see Sarah in a different way. She was joking and just being her self. There wasn’t a ton of people and It felt more intimate. The staff were really friendly and helpful. And I definitely have to give mad props to Melissa McClelland Sarah’s backup vocalist and bass player. When Sarah started losing her voice during the last 2 songs Melissa knocked it out of the park! As always another amazing Sarah McLachlan concert!!! Love her!!!

  • Wow!

The show was just amazing. She still has a wonderful voice and was great. Her band was also very good and her backup singer was amazing too. I would go again and again.

  • Better than ever!

Sarah McLachlan remains as an unbelievably talented songstress who brings messages of hope and peace through her work to a chaotic world. Despite not feeling well, she and the band delivered an incredible performance in AC. Speedy recovery to a true icon and humble entertainer.

  • Sarah Mclaughlin does not disappoint !

by Kimmy on 10/28/24Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLaughlin sounds just as amazing and incredible. As she did 30 years ago when I first heard her music. Her music helped me get through a very rough time when I was 15 years old and I have never stopped listening to her since. Her positivity and uplifting spirit, is present throughout her performance. It's hard not to leave one of her concerts, not feeling serene. I have always followed her and will continue to do so. She is by far one of the most talented artist to date, with a signature singing voice unlike any other performer.

  • BEST CONCERT EVER

by Christiane on 7/17/24The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert I have ever attended! Sarah was phenomenal…and definitely gave us our money’s worth and then some. Her voice was in top form. I was so grateful to be able to see and hear her. We sat way back in the nosebleeds, but with the speakers and excellent acoustics of the Shell…it was an incredible experience. I really really hope that Sarah comes back to San Diego.

  • Beautiful concert

    by FiLee14 on 7/16/24Moody Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan has a beautiful presence, beautiful voice, and beautiful songs. Her voice sounded wonderful. She played a long concert with her band, the entire Fumbling Towards Ecstacy album, bookended by other songs from different albums. She played piano a lot, and some guitar. Sound quality and atmosphere at the venue were very nice.
