About

Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

One of the best shows we have seen! Sarah was pitch perfect and showed a range of emotions and wonderful storytelling. The opening act, Tiny Habits was also fabulous. We had a great night.

  • Better than Ice Cream

by Geri Jones on 11/9/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

First of all, when Sarah McLachlan comes back to her hometown, everyone comes out! I had the opportunity to be apart of the sound check experience and the moment Sarah stepped up to the mic and flooded our souls with her voice, instantly I reacted with goosebumps and tears. That was the beginning, then surrounded for an entire evening by people who enjoy her just as much, was surreal, her voice is incredible, her presence, the band, all supporting this marvellous talent. I clapped, I hooted, I melted listening to all my favourite songs. I left feeling fulfilled and awed and my heart kept smiling into the week. Thank you Sarah McLachlan!

by PJM on 11/7/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah McLaughlan may not have been back to Halifax to perform in 30 years, and hopefully will come more often, but her performance was outstanding. Her voice and range of vocals was superb. We couldn’t have been more thrilled and pleased with the performance.

  • Amazing concert!

by Big Fan on 11/7/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act, Tiny Habits, a talented and charming trio, warmed us up with their rich tapestry of three part harmonies over heartfelt lyrical stories. Sarah mesmerized us from the first song, drawing us in like intimate confidents. Her band was superb - some of the finest. Canadian musicians, including the husband/wife duo from Whitehorse, a wonderfully talented duo in their own right. The song choices from Sarah’s extensive and well known catalogue were excellent. While there was not enough time to sing everyone’s every favourite, it is a tribute to Sarah that she could have done another concert of her unplayed songs. We were a group of four and everyone of us were already fans but still blown away by her amazing performance. If it even possible, we all felt like her voice was as, if not more, strong, controlled, expressive and amazing as ever. Her range into the stratosphere brought the crowd to a spontaneous standing ovation more than once. We agreed this may have been the best concert of the many we have been to in our lives.

  • Amazing concert!!

    by Shell21 on 11/7/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah did not disappoint, she hit every note just as she did years ago. She played a lot of her older songs, and it was very nostalgic.

  • Worried for nothing, hit all the feels

by Janice on 11/6/25Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

Considering Sarah had to cancel 2 previous shows, I was concerned that Moncton's performance would be a no go, or that maybe her performance would be sub-par if she did go on. I was worried for nothing. She sounded amazing, even though I could sort of tell she was struggling at times. No issues with the high notes OMG - goose bumps all over; it was fantastic. Also made me cry with "I will remember you". This show hit all the feels in all the right ways. So happy she was able to perform and happy I was there to see/hear it. Hope Sarah mends quickly!

Great parking in lot 7. Very helpful and pleasant lady who scanned our ticket. Good seats in section 117. Very good opening band. Sara was exceptional hitting the highs and low notes of her songs. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience.

  • Great concert, venue oké.

by Mark on 10/29/25Canada Life Place - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

Sarah McLachlan is a true artist. Her performance and show was above average, very good. Great!!! The venue, a ice hockey stadium, situated in a city with unfortunately a lot of homeless people, did not feel so great. A real concert hall would have added up to the atmosphere.
