This was an incredibly beautiful, inspiring and entertaining event!!! What amazing voices and arrangements!
We have attend multiple Samara Joy performances, and have really enjoyed her talents!! This performance did not have as much "holiday"theme as we anticipated. Also, sometimes Samara's "experiments(?)"with fluctuating octaves and and sound levels don't really blend with the song she is singing. That said, we wish Samara the best with her continued growth. We will see her again!! Thanks! D&H
The Chicago Theater was absolutely too cold,we were sitting there with coats and hats and gloves on,I come to the Chicago Theater every Holiday Season for years and ne Iver was as cold as was at this concert.
Great,I was overwhelmed by her style, versatility. Get for her to be so accomplished at such a tender age
Had a wonderful time at the concert. The acoustics were great.
The concert was very lively, soulful & an all round great experience. Her family was amazing I love their versions of classic Christmas songs Samara has one the most captivating voices ever.
Samara Joy lives up to her name and shares her gifts and talents generously. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert! Family friendly and full of hope and Christmas joy!
Samara Joy is by far the most authentically talented artist. I had the pleasure of hearing GOAT at
The venue is nice, but a heater is needed in that main area. Also a worker told us the wrong stop on the elevator thus, making my 80 year old grandma take the stairs. There were several elderly ppl that needed assistance to their seats and a simple elevator ride to the correct stop could’ve prevented that. Also the popcorn was $12-15 per box and the box doesn’t even hold the crumbs in bc it’s clearly cheap. I paid $200 for these tickets. The least y’all could do is make sure the venue can be comfortably accessible to all ages and that you’re overpriced snacks came in durable packaging. I’m sure your staff enjoys picking popcorn off the floor. Lastly, there should’ve been a house announcement about the beginning of the show, intermission, and the ending. Everything these days is expensive. You all have the power to make people feel they got their money’s worth. Also a $30 gift card to something you force me to get 1 thing.(and still have to give an extra $7) is not a thank you. Next time give me 50% off on a show of my choice. Something worth my time.
Samara has a fantastic voice! Enjoyed the concert. The sound was a little muddled when the full backing choir was on. Big jam up of people trying to enter before the concert.
Undeniably one of the best vocalist of our time and so young. The sky is the limit
Samara Joy not only gave a wonderful musical performance, she shared her passion for her family and upbringing with this concert. The slideshow of family memories was touching and her performance with her father and other relatives was stellar. I really enjoyed the show. Thanks McClendons!
This young Lady has an old soul, and a voice to match! Great concert!
I enjoyed her voice it’s amazing. Very relaxing environment, had a good time.
Each song shared highlighted Samara Joy and The McClendon Family’s amazing vocal talent. Their inclusion of the audience through song made you feel immersed in the concert. I recommend that you purchase Samara’s albums as well as see her in concert whenever she is in the area.
Samara Joy is truly inspirational. Her poise, artistry, vocal agility and timbre, and personality are superbly captivating. Paired with a fantastic gospel choir, instrumentalists, and equally enjoyable family musicians, it was a joy-filled experience! I wish audiences nowadays could live without their phones for the duration of a show. Brightly illuminated screens, flashlight apps, texting, and taking photos/videos is incredibly distracting, and it is rude and disrespectful to the artist on-stage and fellow audience members who are trying to enjoy the performance in the present moment. There obviously needs to be phone etiquette taught and enforced at concert venues (ya I know, good luck).
This young woman is so unbelievably talented. If you miss her performance , you've missed a lifetime.
I mean duh have you heard her?? No? Really that’s your fault for being ignorant of greatness
Absolutely fantastic concert! If you have a chance you must see her! She gives an amazing live performance…she is so poised and down to earth for 25. Her voice, tone, technique, pitch, passion is truly one of those “only so many years does one like this come along”! She sounds like a blend of Sarah Vaughn and Ella! She started two songs acappella with perfect pitch. She sang a Billie Holiday written piece that was outstanding…although Billie never got to record it. She is also writing lyrics to jazz compositions; two she performed last night…blown away!
From beginning to end, Samara Joy and her beautiful family gave an incredible performance! I will see her again any chance I get!
