by Awestruck on 12/22/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Joyful Holiday Concert, featuring Samara Joy and family, was a feast for the senses! Only about once in a couple of generations does an artist like Samara Joy come along. She has the "It Factor."She has the voice. She has the skill. She has the stage presence. She's a triple threat/blessing. Not only was her performance stellar, but her family provided the perfect BGVs to complement her sound. Samara Joy is just getting started and it is going to be a awesome ride.

  • Simply Amazing

by Audrey on 12/22/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I truly enjoyed my evening with Samara Joy. Her voice is a musical instrument that is beyond perfection. Her talent is immeasurable. She is delightful on stage. Her repertoire of songs that showcase her vocal capabilities and range is amazing. And she has a humble spirit. I want to see her again and again. I see exactly why she won multiple Grammy awards at the tender age of 24.

Extremely talented artist and her family delivered a wonderful experience. Special shout out to her Dad his Bass performance. Rich arrangements, some contemporary gospel, with lots of jazz spiced Christmas songs. Well done all.

  • Frankly honest

Samara Joy is a phenomenal talent. Enjoyed her immensely. However, did not know her family would be such a large part of the show. Their mikes seemed to be low and none of them were exceptional. As a matter of fact, I would not buy a ticket to see them. Left wanting more of Samara Joy.

  • Her Voice..... And her family are incredible

by SDuJ on 12/20/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice feels like hot chocolate on a cold day, warm cognac after a productive day, or a hot bubble bath after a stressful day. Her tone is warm and full. Her vocal movement has so much finesse. And her family is full of great singers.

  • A Joyful Experience

by ArnieL on 12/20/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I loved hearing Samara Joy sing. She has a beautiful voice. It was also great hearing her family members sing. I recently lost a very close friend of mine, which left me feeling somewhat depressed but listening to Samara Joy was a very uplifting experience. I’m grateful to hear such inspirational music. It made my night.

  • Samara Joy

by Carranza on 12/20/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

What a Joy!!!! This concert was simply amazing! Samara has the voice of old and it's so perfectly clear. I would go see her over and over! A must see show if you are a fan of great music.

  • Samara IS Joy

by JazzFanatic on 12/20/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

Samara is among the best ever! Her voice is flawless and she knows exactly what to do with it! I loved that she acknowledged family and performed with them. Excellent performances all around, however this turned to concert a little moe towards gospel than I would have preferred! Four this reason I gave the set four stars instead of five. However, don't get me wrong! Samara Joy is still, unbelievably, getting better! Among current female jazz singers such as Cecile McLorin, Jazzmeia Horn, and even veterans like Dianne Reeves, Cassandra Wilson and DeeDee Bridgewater, Samara Joy is the one who most clearly channels Sarah Vaughan; whom I consider to be the best ever!
