Samara is one of my favorites. I absolutely love her presence. She tells a story in every one of her songs, not just with words, but through her melodious voice. Simply Beautiful. From beginning to end!!! This was my birthday gift to myself and it was well well worth every penny! I will definitely catch her somewhere again soon!

  • Magical

by Jay on 6/4/24Jo Long Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Truly a magical performance. Samar is an amazing talent with a dynamic vocal range. I truly enjoyed her performance. She added perspective and reflection between each song about her career to date, her young life and the epic musicians that have guided her career and/or inspired it. Her ensemble was an awesome group of talented musicians. Their solo selections or moments to shine were just as amazing. Perfect venue for the evening with fantastic acoustics. The ensemble didn’t overpower the lyrics and were perfect accompaniment to Samar.

  • Holiday Treat

    by JMThomas12 on 1/1/24Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

What an excellent show! I was expecting to be "wowed"by her, but what an awesome treat to witness the vocal talents of her father, cousin and uncle. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and the venue was perfect.

  • Samara only please!

by Dee on 12/25/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

I paid to see and hear Samara Joy. I have waited months for this opportunity and was so fast to the computer the second tickets went on sale as to score 2 front row seats. Very little of the program treated us to her voice solely. But that is in fact what I paid for and expected. If her family were even nearly as talented, they would not have to ride her coattails. Very disappointed so much of the evening was a waste.

  • Mesmerizing!

by Dee Dee on 12/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

From the moment I heard this young lady's voice, I had to know who she was. I finally got to see her in Atlanta, and the atmosphere was amazing. We all agree that we were all blessed to have been in the presence of greatness. And to beat all, her dad, cousins, and uncle can sang, too! I cannot wait to see her again. Do not miss this show!

  • Spectacular

by JamFP on 12/23/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Samara is not only a superbly talented singer, she is a sweet soul - humble and down to earth. She shared with us where her talents come from - her family! Her father, uncle, and 2 cousins - who are soulful singers in their own right - also performed. It was truly a blessing to hear jazz and gospel Christmas renditions from them!

  • More Samara less family

by donnafrob on 12/23/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Samara Joy is an exceptional talent with the voice of an angel! I came to hear that beautiful, soft, nuanced voice and she delivered! The horn player and the family singers were more of a distraction. I would have enjoyed a few songs with the family but I was a little disappointed that we didn't hear more of Samara!
