  • Great presentation, fair venue

by James on 11/24/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Sam Harris was at his peak in terms of cutting and direct and logical analysis. The theater is grand and staff were great, but the aging of the venue really shows: severe dust on the good leaf/paint on the walls and seats that are very uncomfortable and banged loudly every time someone stood up. Seems like a thorough cleaning of walks/decor and consideration of seat replacement is in order to make it a truly superior experience.

  • Great summary of Sam’s views

by Dan on 11/22/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing that someone can speak for two full hours behind a podium and keep an entire theater engaged. Would have appreciated some Q&A that we all expected at the end, but it was a great night and really cool to see finally Sam’s talent in person.

  • Rational insight by a thoughtful and articulate philosopher

by CP Guy on 11/22/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Sam Harris is a thoughtful and articulate philosopher who offers so much rational insight into both ourselves and the world around us.

  • Crisp Thinking and Clarity

by JF on 10/23/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Sam’s talk was a beautiful demonstration of his clear and crisp thought process to dissect today’s biggest issues. I find that I am often conflicted in my thoughts on a given hot topic and layer on subjectivity but Sam helps to cut right through that and provide clear perspective. His talking style is clear and punctuated by humorous moments which makes for a very enjoyable evening.

  • Logical thinking!

by BajaWildMan on 10/19/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Beacon is a gorgeous theater! Sam Harris delivered the expected common sense speech. His humor was also sarcastically enjoyable. I've checked it off my bucket list. Hope I get to see Dawkins next!

  • Outstanding lecture; a full dissection of what ails society

by Matt on 10/19/25Boch Center Shubert Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Sam’s lecture was such a thorough analysis of all that ails modern culture that it’s hard to sum it up. There were no sacred cows left unspared by the end. Witty, provocative, compassionate, sobering, mindful — maybe even hopeful.

  • 90 minutes of rumination

by Ovrthnkr on 10/19/25Boch Center Shubert Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Perfect blend of deep thinking and ideas and humor and sarcasm. His discourse on controversial topics asked necessary/difficult/hard questions. I’m glad I got there early and had the opportunity to speak with other audience members. Being a fan of his podcast/app can feel isolating when there isn’t a way to connect with other listeners in your community.

  • A great, thought provoking evening.

by Remy on 10/19/25Boch Center Shubert Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a long time listener / reader of Sam Harris' work. I thoroughly enjoyed the Truth and Consequences speaking engagement. Sam was engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely funny (i was pleasantly surprised at a higher-than-average injection of his characteristic dry wit, despite some very weighty topics). Sam mostly stayed on current events and politics, but did spend some time in cognition and even a short meditative exercise about living in the present, rather than being stuck in the past or always looking to the future's horizon. While the entire talk was great, this was probably the most impactful moment of the night, and what really stayed with me. The present is all we have in this life, no matter what ever else our perceptions might tell us. So live fully in it. I know Harris can be thought of as controversial, but I find him engaging and thought provoking. It was a great evening, my first time seeing him live, and I will definitely go to see him speak or debate again in person if he comes around the northeast again. I also really enjoyed the invocation of Christopher Hitchens during his speech.

  • Great talk, very insightful.

We need more of those like Sam Harris to stand up to superstitious nonsense in all its forms.

  • Masterful oratory

by Chris on 10/19/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was really appropriate to see Sam Harris speak at the Beacon Theatre, with its classical statues and frescos. Sam is a master of rhetoric. It was a delight to attend a speech in pure form. Delivered without host, conversation, or Q&A. Sam was funny, thought provoking, and even led us in a very short contemplation. While we all had our eyes shut, I felt a tremendous power in the room: so many of the attendees are meditators. Epic.
