    Cute show

by Angie on 12/4/23West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - Rochester

We took our 3 year old to see the production and it was very cute and entertaining. He actually sat through the whole show, which included a 20 min intermission. The theater had snacks for purchase, so it was a great night out.

    Great for kids

by Susan on 12/1/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

The acting and singing were great but there some problems with the audio for the first half hour or so of the show. The other thing was we wished it started earlier. Starting a children’s musical at 7pm on a Tuesday night was rough.

    Sound was horrible

by Sorry I went on 12/1/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

I have seen many shows at Count Basie, this was the worst. The sound was muffled or non existent. We had amazing seats, just wish we could have heard. The play/musical itself wasn't great, it was like going to a high school musical... not worth the $168+ spent on tickets, plus dinner, parking, snacks, gifts etc.

    Cute show, bad execution

by Lauren on 12/1/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

We have seen the show before and enjoyed it but this time around, they couldn’t get the sound right! Many characters were inaudible and a select few were the opposite, so much so that it made my daughter and I jump in our seats when they spoke or sang. It was disappointing that they couldn’t at least get the sound figured out during the intermission. Pricey ticket for what we got.

    It was ok

by Ashley on 12/1/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

It was a fun holiday show that gets you in the spirit. It just wasn’t up to the standard that I’m used to with Count Basie.

    Fantastic Show-warmed our hearts

by Rudolph Fans on 12/1/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

Such a wonderful show and performance. It brought us (2 adults) back to our childhood when things were simple. Beautiful costumes! The young lady who.played Rudolph stole the show with her facial expressions and emotions! The show was true to the animated show, exact characters and dialect and songs. There seemed to be some issues with their microphones. Luckily we were in the front seats so we could hear somewhat but I'm sure those in the back could not hear at all. Overall I give it a 5 out of a 5! We loved it!!!

    Making it fun

by Nisee on 12/4/22Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

I brought my granddaughters & they loved it! They are 5 & 3 years of age. I gave it a 4 as I thought perhaps you could incorporate a little more involvement with the children to hold more of their interest & make it more exciting for them. Some added sing alongside. As the show is for the young & old, of course. Lol

    Who were they

by Margaret on 12/4/22Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

Pleasantly surprised by the production quality, costumes and talent were great! But we didn’t know who was performing- was it a tour, a regional theater, which group produced this show? Nothing in the program but ads.

    Disappointed

by Aimee on 1/2/22Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

I had a meet and greet which was cancelled due to COVID. Instead of refunding the portion of the ticket which was additional, they gave me a reusable bag and a palm sized stuffed animal which was not even a main character. I believe it was a lumberjack. I tried to complain about this at the ticket booth but they said nothing could be done.

    Family fun

by MrMike on 12/26/21Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

I've been watching the Rankin Bass shows since my childhood when they only played on television once per year. My kids used to love the television show but have outgrown it. My family got to enjoy it in a new medium. The classic story and music including a Burl Ives snowman. Truly nostalgic.

    Great show, disappointing safety measures

by Nicole on 12/25/21Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The Broward Center had safety measures in place but they were not enforced at all once you entered the building. I can understand young children having difficulty with masks but adults were plain ignoring it. Very disappointing for an audience largely unable to be vaccinated.

A little too much of a good thing!!

by Nana on 12/14/21Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

The show was fantastic--good music, dancing, singing! It had to be good to hold the attention of my 5-year-old grandson who is more of a doer than sitter. However, 90 minutes, I'm guessing is a bit too long for children younger than 5. The audience, as a whole, was attentive and didn't seem restless. I could tell because most folks were in front of us--we were way up in the balcony. I would recommend the show to others, with the mention that length might be an issue for some.
