About

Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, but now as a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comedian and a feature film actor, Ron White has established himself as a star in his own right. White has always been a classic storyteller. His stories relay tales from his real life, ranging from growing up in a small town in Texas to sharing stories of his daily life to becoming one of the most successful comedians in America. He has sold over 14 million albums (solo and with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour), been nominated for two Grammys, and has consistently been one of the top grossing stand up comedians on tour in America.

Ron White began performing comedy in 1986 and was quickly opening for legendary comedians Sam Kinison and Jeff Foxworthy. While eventually making the rounds as a comedy club headliner, in 2000, White was asked to join the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. The show toured for over three years to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities and grossed more than $35 million. In 2003, Warner Brothers filmed the show, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie for a theatrical/TV/DVD/CD release. The film premiered as the most-watched movie in Comedy Central's history. In 2005, the video Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again was filmed and released on TV and DVD/CD.

In November of 2003, White released his breakthrough comedy CD Drunk In Public followed by his first one-hour TV comedy special They Call Me Tater Salad. The special had the highest viewership for a Sunday program in Comedy Central history. The DVD version reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. White's second one-hour special You Can't Fix Stupid aired on Comedy Central to 4.5 million viewers, making it the third largest audience in Comedy Central's history and the #1 show on primetime basic cable. The CD reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and remained there for 9 consecutive weeks. This success also earned White his first Grammy nomination. Ron received his second Grammy nod for the show Blue Collar Comedy Tour - One for The Road. In June 2006, Penguin Books released Ron's first book Ron "Tater Salad" White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent...But I Didn't Have the Ability, which landed him on the New York Times Best Seller List. In 2009, Ron released his 3rd album Behavioral Problems, which reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. In 2013 Ron's 4th album, A Little Unprofessional, also reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ron White partnered with Netflix to release his most recent effort- the highly successful comedy special, "If You'd Quit Listening, I'd Shut Up."

As an actor, Ron White has had supporting roles in the major theatrical films Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2. He also had a principal role in Jayne Mansfield's Car (written/directed by Billy Bob Thornton). He was a co-Executive Producer of Bridegroom, a Linda Bloodworth-Thomason documentary, which debuted at the 2013 NYC Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award. In 2016, Ron White's acting talents were showcased alongside Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, and Imogen Poots, in music-industry veteran Cameron Crowe's Showtime series, Roadies. White played road-tested tour manager Phil in a critically praised performance.

Live performances on a comedy stage remain the life-blood of Ron White, and after all these years, the fans still can't get enough. White maintains a rigid touring schedule, and plays to sold out crowds all over the country night after night. The industry also continues to take notice; in 2021, Ron White was nominated as Pollstar's Comedy Touring Artist of the Decade.

Ron White was hilarious the entire show.

by Pooh2 on 7/13/09Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

Very entertaining, a lot of what he says is what we all think, but are not brave enough to say out loud. I will definitely see him again the next time he comes this way. Ron White is incredible!

The show was unbelievable, Ron White is very funny. His jokes just come to him so easily and he is always so cool about it. I don't know how he doesn't just fall down the way he drinks on stage. He was an absolute joy to listen to and I had a great time. He made me laugh so hard my face hurt after the show.

    Ron White - Hysterically Insane

by Jstpeachy on 7/13/09Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

Ron White was a hoot! You would not know from one moment to the next what he was going to say. Everyone in the audience was kept in stitches. His show was definitely for the more mature audience. It was great to laugh so hard that tears were coming out of my eyes and my abs were killing me. A few times it felt like I couldn't breathe. I will definelty recommend a Ron White show to anyone that needs a good laugh. And I absolutely would go again if he comes back to Montgmery.

    recommend but...........

by Karman on 7/13/09Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

Do not watch his special on comedy central late night unedited uncut edition before you see his show. His comedy special on comedy central was 95% the same as the show we paid to see. We unfortunately saw his comedy special on comedy central two weeks before we saw him at Beau Rivage. Except for the above the show was great. We enjoyed his opening act just as much as Ron White's performance.

    Ron White

by Benn on 7/13/09Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

The show was great - BUT the web site for the venue MPAC has a DECEPTIVE seating map indicating that the LOGE AREA - which is NOT INDICATED ON THE SEATING MAP - is prime seating which it is NOT ! LOGE: An upscale seating region in a modern concert hall or sports venue, often in the back lower tier. NOT OR An exclusive box or seating region in older theaters and opera houses, having wider, softer, and more widely spaced seats than in the gallery. NOT In this theater LOGE is center of the TOP BALCONY- It was disappointing to think I had good seats since I had purchased early - I COULDN"T SEE THE PERFORMERS FACE !

    Great Show!!

by darlinn on 7/13/09Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

I love Ron White, so to me this was a great show. He is a very funny person, he says out loud what the rest of us were only thinking. The Beau Rivage could not have made getting tickets and entry any easier. My husband and I will definately be looking to attend more shows in the future.

comfortable venue, I'm a little "old school" so some of the content was a little rough but the crowd seemed to love it. His timing is great!

Mr. Ron "Tatar Salad" White gave a great show... Great Opening Act as well! Ron is the working man comic... Takes the everyday life of a working man and brings it to a whole new level of comedy! The only problem with such good comedy... is the tears in my beer from laughing so damn hard! LMAO! Great Time... Great Show... Great Comedy! Looking forward to the next local show! La Cajun Man!
