About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

    Great Show!

by Comfortably Numb on 10/13/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

This was my first live Roger Waters show, but I have seen a few of his shows on cable. This Is Not a Drill was a great experience. Starting with Comfortably Numb and going through many Pink Floyd standards, the show was a visual and aural delight! Was well worth the COVID 2 year wait!

    Absolutely Magnificent

by TB53 on 10/13/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

This was my 5th concert attended on this tour.. Philadelphia x2, Nashville, Kansas City, & Dallas. I am an unabashed Roger Waters fan. The show was simply awesome bordering on a spiritual experience. The musicianship was excellent, the vocals were excellent, the audio visual special effects were excellent. I was sandwiched between 2 guys who were attending their 1st Roger Waters concert, watching their reactions was a joyful experience in & of itself. I'm seriously considering going over to Italy next year too see it 1 last time. I've been a fan beginning in 1978 at the age of 9. For me it was a spiritually ethereal experience. Thank you Roger for the gift of your music has brought to me and the rest of the world!

    Mediocre concert

by Jamster62 on 10/13/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Tried to hard to be over the top political. His real fans just wanted to experience him and his music. Thats all. His previous concert in American Airlines Center Dallas in July 2017 was so much more entertaining.

Now I need to see the reunion.

by STM on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

I’ve seen “Pink Floyd” w/Gilmore and without Roger. Now I’ve seen Roger without Gilmore. Both shows were awesome. Roger played some of the older cuts which really were a gut punch. All of the emotions from back in the day came flooding back. This was one of the best shows this year.

It was so awesome even in the cheap seats. I would love to see him on this tour again.

by Rob Dog on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

First time using e-tickets was Nascar, next time was Roger Waters- both through Ticketmaster. It was painless! Would like a stub- but hey! Half of them never made it through the night! (Late 80's!) Rock on!

by Melancolia on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Best ever! (I said that on his previous concerts) he's such an awesome musician. Him and his band are great! I love the ladies that acompany the band on this tour, it reminded me when I went to see Pink Floyd for the 1st time in 1994 at the Cotton Bowl! What an experience! I love Roger Waters, his music, his politics, the light effects are awesome, the sound, oh my God! Great of the greatest musicians, blessings to all his team for bringing such a joy to my heart, and great memories!

    Best Concert Ever

by Scoot on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

With each ending concert appearance, Roger Waters manages to raise expectations for the attendees. Roger did it again with his This Is Not A Drill tour. The musicians performed as a well rehearsed tight unit. The sound in the arena was clear, with only a couple of muddy moments. The included visuals, especially the Pig and the Sheep, were a nice touch. It will be a challenge to top this recent Roger Waters appearance.

Seats on floor were not great.

by Chitownhustler on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Where I was, seemed like side-stage. And side-stage down low is not fun, other than for about 2.5 songs. I think in the round floor is really over-rated, and not worth it.

    Waters tainted waters

by Ritarock on 10/12/22Moody Center ATX - Austin

The music was amazing, the extreme political views were disturbing. I appreciate his views, however, if he would offer solutions instead of the dark, combative messages in his shows, that would be appreciated. He seemed to be against all leadership and the drone strikes, however, when the world sees the autoritarian regimes try to take over and murder innocent lives, we should and must react. It's horrible and in war, there's no easy way to avoid innocent lives lost. Also, the Austin Moody center has cup holders in horrible locations, just under the heads of the people infront of you, I don't enjoy drinking anything that is underneath someone's head of hair or any part of a strangers body. Roger Waters made the servers serve drinks in open glasses, what a waste of plastics and trash. He didn't allow bottled water to be brought inside and had to be poured into another plastic glass. I don't get it, if he's so political about the rich and the environment, his concert should be drastically reduced in price or free and not use twice the plastics. A lot of mixed messages from Mr. Waters, but I love his music.

    Small Man Big Show

by Norman B on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Thought Roger Waters would provide a much need Pink Floyd fix... i came to hear the Music but instead i received a Political Lecture in stupidity. His moronic rantings made it almost impossible to enjoy the Music. Now i know why Pink Floyd got rid of him. The Optics were nice, the Sound was Good but the Show was pure Idiocy. I'll never see him again... No Thanks.

    Was Good, but not Great!

by Junior Bacon on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

The "US + Them tour" was way better that "This is not a Drill tour" - Stick to the hits, some of the new stuff, nearly but me to sleep. - Remember...people pay alot of $$$ to see concerts!! Give them what they came to see.
