About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

    Legendary

    by J. S. on 12/6/22

Seen him multiple times and he puts on, far and away, the best music experience, I’ve ever been to, surpassing page and plant, u2, the who, David Lee Roth, (who is among the most charismatic humans on earth), muse, the black crowes, and Pink Floyd without him (an all-around sad disappointment of a show). His shows are not like anything else, causing you to question your own politics, explicitly and powerfully, with a clear and honorable mission of ending senseless killings and oppression worldwide. Cannot recommend any misoc related experience more highly. Thanks Roger.

    Roger Waters Anti-American Rally

    by J. H. on 11/17/22

Love Pink Floyd. Don’t love Waters. Political extremist and profanity on the screens throughout. First concert that I have ever walked out of. My first review wasn’t posted. It was much more detailed than this one. Many reviews share the same opinions. Lost my as a fan, that’s for sure!

    Socially relevant and deeply personal.

by Nat C on 10/28/22Amway Center - Orlando

Waters offers up both the dazzling light shows Pink Floyd is known for while keeping the subject matter relevant. His more personal displays of humility from his Pink Floyd days are some of the highlights, though he does a good job of not relying on that part of his past. While the material off of Animals and Dark Side may have been some of the highest moments in the show, this solo material still shines through. The visuals are consistently stunning and, while often not easy to look at, left much to think about. It is a show reacting to the sorry state of the world and an affirmation that we can persevere through what ails us.

    A Legend of Rock

    by D. L. on 10/18/22Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

My all time favorite show was The Wall Tour back in 2012 but I had to see Roger again as he is getting up there in age (79!) There was quite a bit of political agenda going on but the music was great and I can appreciate his passion. I found it charming the way he talked to the crowd and he genuinely seemed to care about the state of the world. He acknowledged Pink Floyd and his time in the band....classic songs brought back many memories. The stage set up was unique and what would the show be without the flying pig and sheep??? Overall an enjoyable show.

    Blown Away

by Cindy B on 10/17/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

The concert was AWESOME. So happy Roger Waters finally made it to Dallas! Hope the band knows how much we loved them 💕. The Guest Services people were fabulous! Since we purchased the tickets, roommate became disabled. Everyone helped out getting her to our seats safely. Even others in the crowd helped out. Wonderful experience!!

    Great show

by Nincompoop on 10/16/22Moody Center ATX - Austin

Roger Waters still has it he can still play. He played a bunch of his old songs and some of his new ones. He is as political as ever. Didn't really care for a rich socialists political stance but I enjoyed him talking about his old friend Sid. His show is over two hours long with an intermission in the middle but it is definitely worth the money.

Good music, great vocals from Roger

by Old time fan on 10/14/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Whole show was just OK. Would not recommend to friends. Theater in the round design was poor. Huge cross shaped panorama display could not be raised enough for us to see most of the band performing. We only caught glimpses of Roger and sax player and one guitarists. Our seats were American Airlines Platinum level (in Dallas). Overwhelming graphics, much too distracting. Mixed political messages. (i.e. reproductive rights messages just before fetuses were plastered all over the displays). Also unclear scrolling displays, since we were sitting at the end of the cross. Kind of disappointing. Would not go back.

Amazing music, but you owe me some money back

by E.Tex on 10/14/22Moody Center ATX - Austin

Amazing music for sure, which is what I paid a premium for. But you owe me much more money back for having to sit through your childish, anti-American, political rant! I paid to see your music, which I still love to this day. Don't dare sell me tickets to see your music and then spend a ton of time sharing your personal beliefs (spoiled rich artist beliefs at that) because I would not have paid anything to witness that. Kids, eat your pudding...

More of the same with RW

by Mark D. on 10/13/22Moody Center ATX - Austin

I have seen RW a number of times and his politics are getting a bit old. Also, add to that a new venue which is going through some learning pains. Also, it looked like RW was lip syncing the majority of songs. Or the sound system was way out of sync. I heard his voice before his lips moved. Weird.

Great music - wish I could have seen the stage

by Patrick on 10/13/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

I was in a fairly high section at one end of the AAC. From that angle, most of the stage was blocked from view by the + shaped screens that hung low over the stage. I was only able to see musicians at the outer edge of three sides of the stage. I could not see Roger at the piano, the drummer, or any other musician in that area. The screens needed to be much higher above the stage. This was the oddest stage setup of any concert I've ever been to. Not enjoyable in that respect.
