Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.
I have never laughed so hard, for so long in my life!!!
This was not our first time seeing Mr. Carrington. It was a good show that we enjoyed. It did not seem like the hour and a half. It was good to see Mr. Carrington back in a happy place. The last time we saw him, about five or so years ago, it was close to his divorce and he did not seem to be in a happy place back then. I would definitely recommend him. Just don't go to his show to be offended, have a great time. The venue of the Wild Horse Pass Casino/Resort was nice also. Individual chairs with shared armrest. Better than some places where the chairs seemed just like small kitchen table chairs zip tied together.
Rodney was much too crude and graffic. He is talented enough to put on a great show, without resorting to such embarrassingly graffic details.
Loved Rodney Carrington, hilarious, and ohh…so truthful! Definitely would see again, almost peed in my pants!!!!
From the opening Act... Yes he was right I can't remember his name. to the Rodney Carrington Show was the most fun we have had ever. It was honest, and Funny As Hell! I would highly recommend this show to anyone. If your offended then don't GO! This is light hearted funny as hell truthful look at 2024! You won't regret it! #RodneyCarrington#1
Not for the easily triggered crowd. He was funny and very entertaining. I will see him again.
One of the best comedy shows I ever saw. I need a good laugh after the drink prices inside, not sure if I was drinking gold.
Rodney Carrington is the funniest muthertrucker! If you haven’t seen him you’re missing out! I’ve seen a lot of comedians and Rodney by far was the best! The seating at the venue was very comfortable! Can’t wait for him to come back!
A few words come to mind when I think about this show, FANTASTIC, SUPERB, HILARIOUS and AMUSING! Rodney thank you for brightening my day!
I'm always a huge fan of Rodney. One thing about the event location though is it was very hard to hear in the back of the room. People opening the door to the casino and the people at the bar were VERY loud and we missed a good chunk of his jokes which was super disappointing. Maybe put the microphone louder?
Started laughing from the opening act all the way to the last words spoken. Rodney covered everything in my life that we NEVER say out loud! His presentation of daily life hit the mark for those of us older than 50 years. He crossed the line a couple of times and a few people left the show but those of us who stayed were thoroughly entertained with the majority of his routine. I just wish he would have sang a couple of normal/traditional country songs because I have always liked his singing vocals.
Rodney and his opening act put on a great show. It’s been a couple of years since I e seen him and loved that it was all new material. Keep up the great work.
I saw him at Beau Rivage a few months back and had to come to L’Auberge since it’s so close to home. Got to meet him and I am a fan for life. So funny and so nice!!
This was the easiest entrance to a venue I've ever had. Just scan our tickets and that's it. Very easy..
The way he puts life at 55 was hilarious and true. Love his songs! Show could have lasted longer. I could have laughed longer than an hour!
Rodney was great as well as his opener. The show started late, biggest downfall.
I love Rodney but seeing him live was a little disappointing due to the speakers being too loud and at times almost painful, so much so we ended up leaving early.😥
Rodney Carrington was one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen. It’s hard for a person over 40 to laugh that much and he made it happen.
Great show! So funny and new material. Very nice small venue. Great seating.
Attendee’s were sitting on top of each other the chairs were so close together. I love the entire side of my body up against a complete stranger. Everyone was uncomfortable. The concert itself was great as always.
