Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.
Rodney is very funny. Everything he says keeps you laughing!
The seats were so small and uncomfortable that it was difficult to enjoy the show. Rodney had a great performance, although I felt he held back from his best material. It ended a little abruptly and he didn't play a lot of the familiar songs but overall very funny.
The show was great! My husband an I would go again to see him. We laughed so hard that our stomach muscles were hurting.
It was definately worth the tickets to see him. We got the second show and it didn't go the whole time - I guess he was getting tired. But he is so freakin funny! I'm glad we went - it was a perfect night for me and my hubby, my brother and his wife - and another couple - all sans kids!!!
Awesome...hilarious!! Would definitely see him again and again!!!!
The entire show was hilarious. Very fun night out with friends!
Even though the show only lasted for 1-1/2 hours, it was incredibly funny. I laughed throughout the entire show. I laughed so hard I cried.
I laughed so hard my stomach ached. Wonderful time out with the family. Rodney Carrington was a barrel of laughs and more. From his jokes to his singing. Left the crowd in stitches. Included the crowd in his show, wasn't expecting what the fans done, was hilarious. Good times for everyone. We love Rodney.
My son and me had seen him before but it had been several years - (close to 7 I think) - and enjoyed him then.... I bought ticktets for my son's 27th birthday - My husband and me and my son and his wife went and laughed the whole time - Rodney was funnier than ever. - he kept the whole audience laughing and we all really enjoyed him... Will go back when he comes back into town.
The show was great, as expected. I have been to his show before and I knew he would be great. My seats were great; I set in the Pit, Row BB. (Where the Orchestra would setup) I coud see the sweat on his face. The only negative of these seats; they were straight chairs. Not too comforable, but OK for a short show.
This was my first time to see Rodney Carrington in person. He was hilarious. I will definitely look forward to his return in an area near me.
One of the best comedy shows I have been to in a long time.
Rodney was unbeliveable. One of the funniest shows I have ever been to. I would recommend everyone to go see him LIVE!!!!!!!!!!
Laughed for 2 hours non stop. Will definitely go see again. Great show!
Rodney is funny as crap! My only negative is, and this has been the case with more than one comedian this year, that the show doesn't seem long enough. However, don't miss him if he's in your area.
I absolutely enjoyed Rodney Carrington's performance. It was the best comedy show I've ever seen. Amazing entertainer!!!!! he's the best
From start to finish the hour and a half performance was ab workout funny!
Good show, but he ended it early. Didn't finish his show, or use props he had on stage
Absolutely wonderful!!!! Money well spent. I will see him again and again when he comes back to Charleston to perform. He is a dynamic entertainer and I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. It just doesn't get any better than this!! The show was great fun and I only wish it hadn't been over so soon. Rodney is a true talent. His pianist is quite talented, too! (Pianist! Not penis, you jokesters!)
Rodney Carrington was so awesome! And his opening act was really great as well. There wasn't a moment when I wasn't laughing. I would definitely go to see him again!
