One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.

Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.

My husband I saw him about 16 yrs ago at Desparado's and had our picture taken with him. He is still making us laugh after all these years.

We are still talking about all the funny things that Rodney said! The staff at the VBCC were all very helpful to me since my husband is in a wheelchair and we had great seats! Highly recommended!

My complaints would be with the venue and scheduling. The venue did not allow beverages into the Concert Hall. All beverages, which were for sale, had to be consumed prior to entering the hall. This was extremely bush league for an event of this stature. The other complaint was with the scheduling of back to back shows so close in time. It was obvious that Carrington had an abbreviated show, and left out many of the songs he is known for singing.
