About

Rod Stewart in Concert

With his 1978 No. 1 single, Rod Stewart famously asked the world "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" 100 million record sales later, it's safe to say the world answered "Yes." As one of the top-selling artists of all time, with a career spanning four decades, the British singer-songwriter is one of the most celebrated figures in rock and roll history. The times may have changed, but Stewart's appeal hasn't - with his 28th studio album, 2013's Time, the raspy crooner once again topped the UK Albums Chart - the first time he'd done so since the release of his Greatest Hits Volume 1 in 1979. Stewart got his start as a solo artists in the early '70s, achieving his first mainstream success with blues rock hit "Maggie May" from 1971's Every Picture Tells a Story. In the late '70s and early '80s, the singer would adopt disco and new wave influences to much success, including the 1978 No. 1 Blondes Have More Fun and 1981's Tonight I'm Yours, which featured the hit "Young Turks." On tour, Stewart treats ticket buyers to rollicking sets of his greatest hits, proving that "Rod the Mod" still knows how to give one heck of a live concert.

    Classy Rock Concert

by BlondeBeanie on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

Two thumbs up to both, who put on a great show, singing all of the songs that we know and love. I particularly loved Stevie's Landslide, which made me teary-eyed, and Rod Stewart's "You're in My Heart", which the entire crowd sung word for word. Rod is a smart man, and surrounded himself with an AWESOME and VERY talented young band. Only 2 negatives: 1. They should do a different duet. "Leather & Lace" would have been a MUCH better choice. 2. The big screens should be in a different location. If you were sitting on the side, as I was, I had an obstructed view of the screen, which was a bit disappointing.

    A Sit Down Concert

by NicksAdmirer on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

All in all...not bad. I thought Stevie would have been on last, but since most of the crowd came to life when Rod went on, I quickly found out that most of the people were there to see him. Stevie's set list was short, but included some old-time favorites. I found myself wishing she had played more. Her closing song was a nice ballad but I could have thought of a couple others that would have been more meaningful. She did a nice job. I am not a Rod Stewart fan, but he did a good job - he (as well as Stevie) is getting older, and I should have set my expectations based on that fact. The highlight of Rod's set was when his backup singers sang Rollin' on the River...I woke up during that song. I actually sat down for the entire show (pretty much expected at ANY Boston concert) but I thought people there might actually like Stevie enough to stand. I thought wrong.

Rod Stewart and stevie nicks wasnt worth the money

by GeorgeCapt on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

The venue was great but you could not hear Rod or Stevie sing. The band was so loud that most of the time you couldnt hear the singers. I really wanted to hear them but maybe it was that way for a reason............

    They've still got it!

by dlcdec on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

Two Legends...one show. What more could anyone ask for. My 5th time seeing Stevie, who was just as great and entertaining as ever. Her playlist ROCKED! 1st time seeing Rod, who I thought was an unbelievable showman with his band, and backup's....they too were a show in themselves. Tons of talent performing all the songs that you know and love... They've both still got it and then some..... I for one am glad they decided to pair up and do this tour.... Great take

Heart and Soul Tour Had BOTH!!

by Andmar on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

The show was fantastic! Our seats were perfect. Stevie and Rod sounded just like they did back when I listened to them for the first time, and both gave an awesome performance. Rod Stewart was AMAZING!. He came to the stage and never stopped - one song right after another, Both groups of musicians wer extremely talented and the guitat players were awesome. I would go again tomorrow if I could!

Rod Stewart Rocked...Stevie, not so much

by KaylasNana on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

Always enjoy events @ TD Garden, Rod Stewart did NOT disappoint! Vocals & showmanship the BEST AS ALWAYS. Was not thrilled by Stevie Nicks' performance as vocals raspy and at times unintelligible, singing an octave lower her songs didn't have the "POP" they used to. Whatever Rod Stewart sings is GREAT!!!

Rod Stewart / Stevie Nicks - Heart and Soul Tour

by TasmanianDevil on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

It was AWESOME! Stevie seemed low energy compare to Rocket ROD, but it was good all over. Would have liked to have Stevie's image projected on the back screen like Rod's was.

Rod is Amazing, Stevie not so much

    by Samy1000 on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

If I could, I'd give 6 stars to Rod's show alone. He is truly amazing, what energy! Only played great songs, danced around, his whole band is fantastic, what an amazing experience. Worth every penny! -- Stevie Nicks kinda sucked though. I didn't really know many of her songs int he first place, but her whole stage performance was boring me to tears. Landslide made it good enough so I don't think her entire concert was a waste of my time, but that and a couple other songs were the only things that kept me from falling asleep.

    Good Time

by JudeQ on 4/1/11Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

I thought Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks were great. The crowd around us though were very dull. It's a concert people get up and dance!

    AWWWWsome

by oldfuddie on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

Every year I try to do something with my Grandkids, A concert or some special event . And the parents are not allowed to come along . This year I decided to take my two Daughters one is 39 the other 41 , We decided to make a day of it .. Took the Train out of Portland to North Station To T D Gardens ,Got there in plenty of time to walk around and get something to eat. Happened to walk into A place that was playing Stevie Nicks Music . that kind of set the Start of A great trip , We got to the concert about the time they were starting to let people in so We found our seats and settled in .. Rod came out and Introduced Stevie and was nothing but Awsome from there, She played non stop for over one and A half hours , then a short break and then on came Rod He invited Stevie back for two songs together and then he took over , He went non stop except for a change of clothes two different times while the band played and it was Greatttttttttt the only thing I wanted and Missed was him singing Maggie May , We had to leave to catch the train at 20 mins to 11 and he sang that song after we had left , we were told , I would surely pay to see it again and again was one of the best concerts I have ever attended and I go 3 to 4 A year for the past 20 + years .. Thank you Stevie and Rod for the great time

    Nicks

by sagbchman on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

I realize that the acoustics at TD Garden are not the best but Nicks band just played louder than she sang and after awhile many patrons were just waiting for her set to end. However when Stewart was on there was no problem hearing him or anyone else. He and his crew were just great.

    Nicks and Stewart were great!

by Scrumpybabe on 4/1/11TD Garden - Boston

I would see either one of these singers again. They complemented each other nicely although I was disappointed their duet wasn't a different song :(
