Rob Thomas Concert Schedule
The impassioned voice behind post-grunge chart-topper Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas has also enjoyed a successful solo career kick-started by a collaboration with the legendary Carlos Santana. The singer-songwriter typically jumps between both of these musical worlds on tour, performing his own more polished pop-oriented material alongside new interpretations of his band's most-cherished emotive rock hits, while also showcasing his unique dance moves and compelling storytelling abilities. There have been plenty of opportunities to see Rob Thomas live over the years. He has embarked on headline treks to support all of his studio efforts, as well as a Special and Intimate Performance tour in 2014 and a series of joint shows with the Counting Crows in 2016.

Born in Landstuhl, West Germany, in 1972, Rob Thomas moved with his family to the US as a baby and lived a relatively nomadic childhood before settling in Orlando aged 11. Inspired by the country music of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash, he began penning songs and performing in various cover bands as a teen, and in 1993 formed Tabitha's Secret, the group which would eventually evolve into Matchbox Twenty. As the frontman and chief songwriter, Thomas guided the band to phenomenal success, with 1996 debut, Yourself or Someone Like You, selling 12 million copies, and 2000 sophomore, Mad Season, spawning a number one single, "Bent." But Thomas' crowning glory arrived in 1999 when he teamed up with Carlos Santana on "Smooth," the three-time Grammy winning chart-topper which was later announced as the second-biggest US hit of the 20th century. Thomas launched his solo career proper in 2005 with Top 10 single "Lonely No More" and its parent album âŚSomething to Be, a surprisingly poppier affair which drew comparisons with Justin Timberlake. Thomas spent the next decade alternating between Matchbox Twenty and his solo career. In 2012 he released album North with Matchbox Twenty. Rob was very personable. Mixed his beautiful voice with entertaining stories. Even my husband who doesn't know his music thoroughly enjoyed the show. Rob's voice was right on! No synthesizing required đ¤
I have seen Rob Thomas four times now. He is such an amazing artist and story teller. The reason he is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because he only stayed on stage for 1 1/2 hours. He could have easily performed for at least 2 hours in my opinion. We drove over 2 hours to Foxwoods, paid for a hotel and paid for overnight dog kennel. We really thought that playing for just 1 1/2 hours was disappointing.
I had a great time at the concert. The atmosphere was wonderful at the Premier Theatre. I enjoyed the intimate experience that created several memorable moments during the show. Love Rob Thomas and his storytelling music!
Three words: ROB NEVER DISAPPOINTS!! Seriously, though. This was my 17th time seeing Rob perform (solo and/or with MB20) and Iâve never grown tired of his energy and performance. I will continue to see Rob and the guys as often as I can!

Rob Thomas never disappoints weather he is with matchbox20 or as Rob Thomas. With his band or acoustic. He and the people that play with him are all very talented. His voice I could listen to on and on. I have seen him multiple time and will continue to do so.
Rob never disappoints. He is truly an elite singer/songwriter/musician. He is never pretentious and interacts with his audience in a genuine demeanor. Every song in the set is presented with his full artistry potential. His band is also fantastic.
Total acoustic 1hour:45min set which was unexpected but not surprising given it was a fundraising event. I've seen Rob solo 3 times and Matchbox 20 4 and this was a completely new experience. The stories and the different takes on his awesome catalog were fresh and moving. Awesome show!
Rob always puts on an amazing show! See him every chance I can when in the CT area. The VIP experience was nice to do to see how mich work goes into the show if youâre not familiar with how bands prepare.
Rob Thomas never disappoints! Whether with matchbox twenty or on this own it is always a great show. I also loved the fact that this concert was to support his Sidewalk Angels foundation.
One of Best shows I have seen! This man is extremely talented, such an amazing voice! Definitely I would go see him again! This is a show not to be MISSED!
Attended the Rob Thomas show at Foxwoods on 4/12/24. We didn't realize it was pretty much an all-acoustical show that benefited his Sidewalk Angels Foundation. Not only did he sound amazing, he also engaged the audience by telling some pretty funny and heartfelt stories. I've seen him with Matchboox 20 multiple times and on his own a couple times, but this was a totally difference experience, and I loved it!
If you have the opportunity to see Rob Thomas live, treat yourself and grab a VIP package that allows you access to sound check. Rob and the band were personable, funny, and it was a unique experience seeing them prep for the show. The show itself was amazing, Rob puts on an incredible performance to support his Sidewalk Angels charity.
Rob Thomas was not only in good voice, but he also shared some really interesting insights into his life and work. Just a great experience. I thought I'd miss the rest of the band but I must say it couldn't have been better.
Rob Thomas is a truly talented and gifted artist. His depth of interaction with the audience is truly appreciated we go to see him and Matchbox every time they come to CT.
His concert was amazing! He didnât just play his songs. He played songs from Matchbox Twenty as well. What a great treat to see him again.
Rob Thomas was fantastic and it was such a different concert than normal for him with MB20 and solo. He was engaging and talked about the origins of the songs and great stories that went with them. The Mick Jagger story was very funny.
This was my first VIP experience and it was the best ever I had third row from the stage my seats were excellent I had access to the pre-show and q&A session and I was in heaven I have been a fan of Rob Thomas forever. He never disappoints he was incredible as always and he shared funny stories it was just a wonderful night
The show was amazing but the Wait time after we checked in for the vip experience took forever with no seating and no where to sit especially for handicapped was nerve racking .When we did get in it was fantastic
