The musical was very entertaining and stayed true to yhe classic, we really enjoyed it!
A wonderful, fast-moving show that will fully mesmerize children as well as adults. It keeps your attention while delivering a heartfelt message. The set design and costumes are first class. It will keep your attention.
Absolutely loved it ❤ maybe could have left it more an original but hey.....willly wonka actor was amazing and all others as well.Special effects super fun
The acting, music, and those puppets were fabulous! Never anticipated it to be so good!
Willy wonka reimagined! Really enjoyed the whole performance!
Wonderful performance. Charlie and Willy were nothing short of AMAZING!
The cast was incredible in this show, we really enjoyed all of the singing, dancing and acting! The show-- I could take it or leave it. Was glad we went but not a show I'd have to see again.
We loved the show, it was everything we hoped it would be. Cody Garcia, you are an amazing actor and we are so happy we got to see and appreciate that part of you. The whole cast eally brought the show together. Just the way they portray the oompa loompa's is amazing and really excited the crowd. I would recommend this show to everyone. The two and a half hours goes quick and leaves you wanting more! The costumes and scenery were also amazing, this is an all around talented group of people.
This was a spectacular show. The effects were incredible, the Oompa Loompa, unbelievable. And overall the dances and the performance A+
We were taken very good care of and we greatly enjoyed the performance.
The actors did a wonderful job of bringing the story to life. The music was engaging and the quality of the orchestra and singing was what I would expect from any Broadway musical. I was especially impressed with the actor who played Charlie. They had an excellent voice and was very expressive. I was impressed with the entire cast. Worth the money and more.
Great Show! Great Experience! Yes, a lot of hassle getting in, and once in, discovered we'd left my husband's glasses in the car, but had time to do it all again because we had come the prescribed 90 minutes early! But the event was well staffed for all of this extra care. They even had boosters for kids who needed them to see. Show itself was very well done, lots of color, innovation to make the magic. The oompa loompas were interesting kind of puppets that I kept trying to figure out how they worked. Only the lead, Charlie, was really played by a child, but the adults who played the others were believable enough. A weird blend of props, costumes and lines, that didn't quite put it in the time period of the book but didn't quite leave that period either. Overall, we highly recommend it.
Saw the show on a Thursday night. It was very wonderful and fun! The cast did a great job and I really enjoyed the experience. Even though the writing for some of the characters wasn't my favorite, I, overall, really liked this adaptation and especially Act 2. Willy Wonka himself would approve.
The performers, the costumes, all that happened back stage, and the theater assistants were all wonderful! It was most magical show and evening.
Amazing and well done. The cast was phemoninal and so glad to go out and see a show again for the first time in a long time. You know that pandemic. Strict mask enforcement well done.
One of the best Broadway shows! The Morrison center was fabulous- not a bad seat in the house!
I was expecting to see a Broadway show similar to the movie with Gene Wilder, but I was very disappointed. There were only a few songs from the movie, and the ones that were sung weren't very good. I also had a hard time understanding the words, and a lot of the singing was more like yelling. The first act was slow...too much time was spent on introducing the winners, and Charlie hardly got excited when he got his ticket. A whole solo dance number could have been done here. I almost left after the first act, but I thought it would get better, but it didn't. The show just wasn't magical, like I had hoped. And the ending was the worst! Willy Wonka explicitly told Charlie NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING, and he immediately did. What message did that send? It just didn't work for me.
Beautiful venue. Surprised to see adults playing the parts of the Golden Ticket winning kids, except for Charlie who was a child cast member. I had a hard time adjusting to the first act. Hard to understand what the German family were saying from where we sat AA row. Everyone around me during the intermission and after the show were saying it was not as good as the original movie version staring Gene Wilder. Second half of musical was much better. My husband age 81 who had never seen the movie version, loved the Oompa Loompas. At first he thought they were kids playing the parts. Very well costumed and performed. All grandparents, Mom, Willy Wonka were well performed. Coleman, playing Charlie did a fantastic job, although at first I thought his voice was a bit too high pitched/whinny for my ears, but U got t
I loved everything about the play. I though all the actors where great, Willy Wonka actor and August Gloop actor looked just like the characters in the moves I loved all the songs as well!
