Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

I like small venue shows better than stadium events. the real fans come out to these. crowd was electric and rick ross did not disappoint us at all. with so many hits to choose from, he picked crowd favorite songs along with new material from his mixtapes. even had special guests for the crowd. none bigger than busta rhymes who the crowd went crazy for. he also had his maybach music group with him. A+ show.

It was a hot show, Ricky Ross put it down. Dude had style, presence and awesome delivery with his ill rhymes. There was nothing spectacular other than just being there. The boy is nice like that. He brough Akon, Wale, Busta Rhymes, Ace Hood, etc. Pusha T opened the show.

  • Ron Ron sucked, Big time

by JPugh on 3/2/11Sprint Center - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

I thought overall Monica rocked the show. She interacted with the crowd really well, highlighted her old school songs with new school songs with sing a longs from the crowd. She was great and sounded and looked great as well. Rick Ross was also good but I was dissapointed he got cut off early. I understand though. It was almost 1130. But this wasn't his fault. The concert was doomed from the very beginning and reminded me why I pick and chose going to rap concerts. The doors were late being opened (froze our a*ses off), the concert started really late, which pushed all the acts back late, typical rap concert (I'm black so don't get it twisted). It just seemed unorganized, patched together, and low budget. I'm born and raised in the Midwest and support local rappers, the Chiefs, and Royals, etc. I have to say Ron Ron was the biggest dissapointment. First off all, Soulja Boy isn't the best lyricist but lets face it, he's a crowd favorite and successful. WHoever thought Soulja Boy performing before Ron Ron was a good idea needs to be slapped!!!! Soulja Boy opening, then Ron Ron????? I'm surprised Soulja Boy didn't have a problem with this. You could barely understand what Ron Ron was rapping or even talking about, not to mention he talked WAAAAAY too much in between songs. Then he said he had a surprise for the crowd, left stage for like 7 mins and then came back with a afro wig on and a blazer.....???? Really??????? Also, the crowd was the least responsive during his act, was very quiet, and bored, no lie, especially for being a local artist.... Needed more Rick Ross and Soulja boy, less Ron Ron yapping and messing up his own lyrics and starting songs over....Just sayin....

  • Dissapointed with Blowin Money Fast Tour

by Briallen on 2/28/11Sprint Center - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

The concert was scheduled to start at 7:30PM .... we saw nothing but the DJ for the 1st hour, followed by a line up of local artist and the DJ, alternating. Don't get me wrong, I think supporting the locals is important; I'm cool with that. But the headliners are who people really want to see so they should spend the most time performing. The lineup was off (local, Soulja Boy, local, local, Monica, Boss). Needless to say Monica (good performance) came on stage about 11:15 (only for about 20 minutes) followed by Rick Ross whose performance was cool but lasted maybe 40 minutes. WoW!!!!!!!! My man and I spent money and 4 1/2 hours there to be dissapointed in a major way!!!! If the concert was for the locals say that, but I can guarantee no one will pay $80 per ticket to see locals. Will not pay to see anyone in this lineup again!

  • KC(Sprint Center) Big Talent Show

by Munsta on 2/28/11Sprint Center - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

The concert was horrible, might as well been a concert at the old Southeast Fieldhouse. Alot of local acts. Concert started about 2 hours late. The sound quality was bad. All the headliners did 5 to 10 songs. I think most people wanted a refund. Just horrible. The bad thing is I luv Rick Ross music. He need to take lessons from Jay Z, on how to be punctual and put on a good show, thats not low budget.

  • Rick ross & Wacka were a flop

by Janizzle on 1/2/11Monroeville Convention Center - MonroevilleRating: 1 out of 5

It was horrible.....Now, im not sure whether this was necessarily the artists fault, but certainly the venue's fault......It was empty!!! really empty....they had put an age restriction (21 +) so three fourths of Rick Ross' audience was cut off right there....couldn't attend....The venue was really disorganized, it wasn't clear what was VIP seating & what wasn't....because very few people showed up, they ended up letting everyone seat in VIP (which im sure upset people who spent $100 + on VIP tickets). The set up was disorganized, upon arrival, they never had any DJ playing music or any opening acts, it was just quiet & empty....They had a pre-party area which was lame cause no one was there.....By the time Wacka & Rick showed up on stage, i just didn't care....I was thinking about how lame my New Years countdown was, & i could have been somewhere else celebrating it proper.....So i honestly walked out while Rick was still performing....there was no energy or enthusiasm at all......Overall, it was a waste of money & time....FAIL

  • What a dissapointment. RICK LOST

by MissSara on 12/7/10Cowboys Dancehall - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

I am a big Rick Ross fan. I appreciate his music, style and energy. I came in from out of town to see his show because I had never seen him perform live before. Needless to say I was extremely excited. I arrived at 7PM and waited around while other local MC's took the stage. I was patient with them because I had my eye on the prize, the bawse, so I was willing to listen and wait and let them have their turn. After much time had passed, rumors kept circling the audience about the time Rick would take the stage. "10 PM he'll be on"...."10:30 he'll be on"...."11"...."12"...and so on. The damn DJ (who was playing music I could have easily listened to in my car) was the main sourse of entertainment. Z-ro was good and a few others as well but the main attraction was what I, and the rest of the crowd, wanted. Finally, 1:30AM rolls around and sure enough, with an intoxicated, frustrated crowd at hand, fights break out and glass bottles/cups are being tossed. At that point I took off - total waste of time, energy and MONEY. Lame concert that was unorganized and totally amateur.

  • Rick Ross he didnt show up

by EasilyMistaken on 12/7/10Cowboys Dancehall - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

Well let me say first off Rick Ross did not show up to the venue in San Antonio TX so i cant really comment on his performance and it was very disappointing....I dont feel he just didnt want to show up we were never told why he wasnt coming they just left us hanging so San Antonio was a complete FLOP!!

  • by TKSA on 12/7/10Cowboys Dancehall - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

  • horrible

by yahoouser on 12/6/10Cowboys Dance Hall - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

By far the worst concert I have ever gone to. The concert started at 8pm. Rick Ross never showed up. In fact people got so pissed off that an all out riot broke out at 130am causing my wife and to leave out of an emergency door. The whole concert was nothing but no name people performing until about 11pm. From 11pm-130am we only had a Dj playing regular music you would hear on the radio. The only thing the Dj said was "Rick Ross is only 10 min away, he's getting ready." Worst experience I have ever had at a concert. Shame on you Rick Ross.

  • Blowin Money Fast Tour Starring Rick Ross and Papa

by Pocahantas4 on 12/3/10Mobile Civic Center Arena - MobileRating: 4 out of 5

I completly enjoyed the event once Papa duck came out. He really got the crowd ready to see Rick Ross. When Ross got on tha stage he shut it down. Me and three of my freinds attended and we had a ball! We would go to see him again he really knew how to entertain the crowd. I am not sure if the event was completely promoted the way it should have been, because for their to have been such a huge venue there were not even alf of the seats full. Next time I will need VIP!

  • by Dirdy on 11/30/10Mobile Civic Center Arena - MobileRating: 5 out of 5

by HoMeGBug on 11/30/10Mobile Civic Center Arena - MobileRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome concert. Crowd was bare, but good vibes and great sounds came from the stage like it was a full house. Thx for the great show.

  • RICK ROSS OFF THE CHAIN!!!!

    by Kamazing75 on 11/22/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

THE CONCERT WAS OFF THE CHAIN HE PERFORMED MOST OF HIS HITS. WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE DONE WAS PERFORMED SOME OF HIS HITS LATER IN THE SHOW!! JUST WHEN I THOUGHT HE WAS FINISHED AFTER 20 MINS. HE CAME AND PERFORMED FOR ANOTHER 45. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS HE HAD TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THE STAGE!!! HE SHOULD HAVE HAD SOME REAL FANS ON THE STAGE AND NOT JUST GROUPIES!!!

  • Rick Ross the Boss!
