About

Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

  • cheated!

    by ncgirl919 on 10/19/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

Rick Ross didn't come because of illness but DJ Kaled did not need to help attend to him. Hence we got cheated but went in because we had already driven so far. It was clear the other artist weren't doing anything amazing and needed Rick Ross. I won't pay to see any of the people on the concert bill again.

We were very dissappointed that all day on the radio it was said Rick Ross would definitely be at the concert. However, when we arrived at the coliseum, there were signs all over stating he would not be there. The show was supposed to start at 7:30 p.m., but it started after 8 p.m. Only about halfway through the show was anything about Rick Ross mentioned. Before the last act came out around 11 p.m. it was then stated DJ Khale would also not be coming. At that point we were very upset because those were the headliners. We felt it was a ripoff and should have been given the option before the show began for a refund or to still attend. We would have definitely chosen the refund. The other acts that were there and performed were okay. ACE Hood and Wale did their thing, but they're not Rick Ross. Sorry guys! Marsha Ambrosious sounded great. But I don't know what Miguel had going on. He turned all of his songs into a rock n roll theme. He should have known something was wrong when everybody started sitting down as soon as he began performing. His songs were unrecognizable. And he was doing these crazy Elvis dance moves that almost made him look like he was having a seizure (so unattractive).

  • that sucked

  • Unsuccessful

    by Marie29 on 10/18/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

Rick Ross and DJ Khaled did not show up and they were the main headliners so the show was the best it could be without them. The other performers were good but the show was boring at the end.

  • lost without rick!

This was absolutely amazing, it was my first concert! Although Rick Ross and DJ Khaled couldn't be together because of his health issues but the concert was still great! AMAZING! Especially Wale and Ace Hood : )

  • Pretty Great Consert For My First One..

by FakeAssAggie on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

It Was A Pretty Good Show. They Delays Between Peformances Were Madd Long. I Was Kind Of Upset That I Didn't Get 100% Of What I Paid For. Understanding That Life Happens & Some People Couldn't Show Up, I Feel As Though Me & The Crowd Shoud Have Been Accommodated By Something Or Someone Else. But Overall It Was A Good Show. I Enjoyed Myself, I Was Out Of My Seat 84% Of The Time.

  • NCA&T Homecoming Concert

by JamesHickman on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 1 out of 5

Unfortunately Rick Ross was un able to attend which was my whole reason for buying 8 floor tickets for me and my family, then to find out that DJ kahlid was not there either. The vocals were not up to par and I don't know if the others artist mumble or if the speakers were not in tuned. I was very very disappointed in the event this has to be my 7 years of attending. Not to mention I had free loaders in my seats when I arrive and had to stand in the aisle while the ushers moved them lost 10 minutes doing so. I feel like I should be owed something back for this SLACK concert

  • Show sucked cuz Rick ross ain't show up

by Kasell on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

The show was WACK after telling us Rick Ross wasn't coming they made Ace go on first then Wale(which I missed because who puts the two artists with the most work on this ticket first smh). Miguel and Marsha did good. Then meek mill did 3 maybe 4 songs and walked off! Worse show I been to EVER and to make things worse I was in the front row for the first time

  • Okay concert

  • by DaisyDooWop on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

The show was good, but it could've been better. Wish an email or notification was sent out to let us know that Rick Ross would not be attendance, but I don't understand some things are beyond control of the coliseum.

Had a lot of fun with my friends but upset Rick Ross couldn't be there

  • When I say no, you say Ross!

by Anonymous on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 1 out of 5

First of all, the parking was great. When we arrived to our seats, I was in awe as these were the best seats that I had ever purchased. We were the first row right in front of the catwalk. Ace Hood and Wale were great. I am not a fan of Miguel and Marsha Ambrosius' voice was amazing. We were informed that Rick Ross and DJ Khaled would not be there and those were the two that I bought the tickets to see. I understood that he coiuld not appear but they did not even compensate for that. The final performer, Meek Mill performed for 10 minutes and walked off the stage without a word, the lights turned on and everyone was left in confusion on whether that was really the end of the concert. It turned out being the best seats ever for the worst concert.

  • Could have been better.

    by ilovetrey93 on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

Two performers, one being the most important, were missing! It wasn't as hype as it should have been. People were sitting down way too much. Meek Mill was lame, didn't close well, or get through a song without stopping. However, Marsha was amazing! Ace Hood did his thing. Wale was hype!

  • It was just ok!

by Anonymous on 10/17/11Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

Enjoyed Marsha, Miguel, Wale! I think that my crew and I got high...and we dont even smoke! Lol!

  • Rick Ross

    by jmorris026 on 9/26/11Macon Centreplex Coliseum - MaconRating: 1 out of 5

The show started at 8:00 but Rick Ross didn't come until 11:45, then there wasn't a lot of people so they let everyone move to the floor where I was in the 12th row, well once everyone came down they all blocked the front and I couldn't see at all, I paid $147.00 to wait and then for people who paid $27.00 get front row. It was a mess and crazy!

  • BMI :(

by shawnaSP on 5/22/11Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Show was scheduled for 7 pm, started at 9:15pm. Too many artists, okay sound system, announced a winner at the show--then announced another winner via their Twitter. Unprofessional.

  • by Silini on 5/20/11Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

We spent way too much time watching useless acts, and the main event show was way too short.
