Rick Ross on Tour
When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.
Rick Ross in Concert
A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

OMG !!!!!! So disorganized. The concert did not start until 11:00. I paid 149.00 for my ticket and people who had 40 dollar seats were allowed to come down to my section. I am very disappointed. We also waited in long lines in the rain and we were not allowed to bring our umbrellas inside. I definitely did not get my money's worth.
seriously one of the most unorganized shows ive been to the DJs were playing for 2 and a half hours when the show was supposed to go from 8-11 and the even ended up playing some of the same stuff over and over again...french montana the first main artist didnt come out until 1030! it was a weekday i had work the next day and the scheduled timing for the show was manageable...i specifically got my tickets to go and see waka flocka he was supposed to be the second act of the night and he didnt come out until after 130 when the show was supposed to end at 11...he came out after rick ross who headlined the show...i dont know who managed the show or what but it was without a doubt the 1 of the worst shows ive been to and if i could id get mine and my friends money back
The show started 2 hrs late. The artists looked drugged up.
There was a good amount of artists. However, the show was supposed to start at 8pm and didn't start until 11pm. The intermission between artists was extremely long sometimes up to 40min of wait time in between. One of the artists finally had his set at 2:30am! Poorly planned for a Thursday night.
Concert was almost 3 hours late. That's ridiculous and unacceptable. I heard it was because the artists didn't get paid. But that's besides the point. Unacceptable:(
Show time was @ 8 and I left @ 10:30 bcuz it didn't even start!
The event was supposed to start at 8:00pm on a Thursday. When I bought the tickets in December, the advertisements stated that Rick Ross was featured, and Wale, Miguel, Waka Flocka, Jeremih, and more to come. After sitting in our seats for literally 2 1/2 hours listening to club music and choking on everyone's smoke, French Montana came on, but I still have no idea who he is because there were at least 20 people on stage, and he was "rapping" every other line on top of a recorded voice. He did a three song set, and we were right back to listening to club music for the next half hour. Someone else came on around 11:30, but I didn't really care at that point because I was more focused on the pain in my head from pretty much listening to the radio on full blast up until then. Anyway, Rick Ross (the featured artist) finally came on with Wale at 12:15. The featured "artist" didn't even come on stage the same day as the show. After listening to them mumble over recorded tracks for about half an hour, my girlfriend and I (it was her birthday present, by the way) decided to leave, since we drove two hours to get there and it was really late. At some point during the "show," someone said there was a surprise artist there who everyone would freak out for, but I still have no idea who it was because by the time Rick Ross came on, I didn't care enough to even stay there. Worst concert I have ever been to, easily. I want my money back!!!
Most of the night was the DJ's. I didn't pay all this money to see DJ's nobody came out at least til very very late in the night. Food and drink service was crazy as well they stopped serving and concert really didn't even start yet. It was a crazy night and I would never do it again.
The longest concert every been too.... Had us waiting.... By the time wacks flaka hit the stage half the arena was gone.... Love wacka though..outward tired by the time they came out... Wish it was better scheduled.... Would have been hott.... A little disappointed ....
This show was the biz!!! It was so hype!! Loved it
The concert was FIYAH! Busta Rhymes killed it, he should've been the headliner. He brought out Chris Brown, Swizz Beats, Snoop Dogg and of course Spliff Star was there. Rick Ross was cool, his energy was low but his songs are HOT so we made the best of that situation. Overall I had a great time!
My 5 stars are for Busta Rhymes ONLY!!!! He should of been the headliner and I wish I had better seats...I would of paid more money to just see him!!!...Rick Ross on the other hand was horrible my fiance is from Miami and he was disappointed..he seemed very unorganized and when he was done we werent sure if the concert was over or what...as far as the other acts I can't speak on that because we were late..the parking situation was horrible...PLEASE BRING BUSTA RHYMES BACK..i WILL BE BACK AGAIN FOR THAT ONE ...IN THE FRONT ROW!!! Well maybe not the front row cuz I dont want to get my hair wet LOL...
This was a really nice show. Breaks between acts to long. Busta rymes was amazing and all his special guest Chris brown , Snoop Dog, Swiss beats. Rock Ross great also to bad it had to end. My husband enjoyed his birthday. L.A. u really missed a great show. open acts did a good job. Rick Ross is back!!
Busta Rhymes had a lot of energy and was amazing! He brought a few people on stage that I was not expecting. He stole the show away. He brought out Swiss Beats, Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg. Loved the energy!
all and all the show was great...I can say I would reccomend it but only because Busta delivers. I wish he would have closed the show because basiclly after him it was over. Rick Ross looked sick and had no energy.
Rick Ross Did not interact wit the crowd enough but Busta rhymes is an amazing performer...
Ricky Rose did what felt like half an hour. That kinda sucked, but busta came hard wit it, and made it worth it. He brought out Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg. DOPE!!!!
Rick Ross is not a good performer! Busta was waaaaayyy better!
Rick was cool...but i think Busta ripped it....loved bustas performance and his guests
