About

Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

i am a HUGE rick ross fan.......i must say that i was disappointed; not in the performance per se, just in the amount of time that he ACTUALLY performed. i think the tickets were SEVERLY overpriced for what few shout outs that BR got

  • One horrible show!!

by Cbhdoll on 4/2/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

The show took place in Baton Rouge, no organization, people standing in chairs, and it took hours for the show to start

  • by 132icecream on 4/1/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

I feel that it was a waste of money. He should have performed longer than what he did. Need better open acts.

First of all I changed my mind when they announced Plies, and he did not show up...second the rest of the show was sad even the "biggest boss". Never again

  • Worst concert ever!!!

by LadyKayy on 4/1/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

Rick Ross was very unprofessional, it took him nearly 3 hours to come out and perform. The opening acts were local washed up artists, if I wanted a local concert I would've taken myself to the club. To ad to the situation he only did like 13-15 snippets of songs, 4 to which weren't his songs, but other artist such as Rihanna, lil boosie, and future!!! They also lied and said plies would be there and he wasnt. This event was POORLY PLANNED, I will never spend my money on a Rick Ross concert again.

  • HOTTER than HOT

This was one of the best concerts ever! The opening acts kept us entertained 'til Rick Ross hit the stage. Rick Ross rocked the stage. I would go see him again.

  • Very disappointing!

Good Morning! I have attended several shows that included several of the performers at this event and I have to say this was the least organized one yet. My seats were section 12 row A seat 1 & 2.. Better placement of the speakers for one would have been nice as I had to lean over to see anyone performing.. if it wasn't the speakers in the way then it was the photographers.. totally understand they are not your employees.. the lack of SECURITY was unbelievable.. the crowd was out of control and I never saw anyone on the isles directing people back to their seats or asking them to step down off of their seats.. the people with the wrist bands(guessing VIP?) were out of control trying to get in and out of the pit area and security trying to hold them off.. this also impaired us from enjoying the show as we were concerned of arguements and possble physical altercation between guest and the 1 security guy they had barricading the area. Makes a very poor impression on the people who paid the larger amount for a good quality seat to see the people from up in the top rafters up front and standing in front of them because no one made them return to their seats!

The concert was well organized. Everyone start on time and end on time. The artist performed more than one song and had great crowd participation. Overall the energy was high and had great movement.

The concert was great, Wale did his thing I could have just watched him perform all night. I wish Travis porter would of done more songs, other then that the concert was great and it was worth the money :)

  • Summer Jam w Rick Ross Mediocre

by QueenieJ on 7/23/12CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

The show was average at best. The local acts showed up first but were very boring. By the time Ricky Rozay came on the crowd was hype but many songs were left out n the performance lasted only over an hour. I was highly disappointed after seeing Rozay's various TV performances. I really wish Rick Ross had a longer show with more of the SelfMade first album.

by rippingofffans on 7/23/12CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 1 out of 5

Disappointed all the acts did not show up but their appearance of couse was included in the price of the ticket. In this economy, and those tickets were outragously priced to say the least, and to short change your fans is just Bad business.
