Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

It was decent performance, Had some guest appearances by French Montana and Meek Mills. There wasn't many "LIVE" songs with band, but the songs that were preformed truely live were very good. (seen jay-z w/roots so i am comparing the two). He repeated a few songs, (he was tipsy during the performance ) so he probably forgot.

Rick Ross (Rose) in the DMV! I was skeptical due to the previous responses but they were wrong. This show was Awesome! Special Appearances by Angie Stone, Wale, and Meek Mill. Band that played with Rick Ross named 1500 was off the chain. I want to see this show again. The entire hall were on their feet all night. Can't say enough how Great this show was!

Rozay killed it. Opened with BMF and continued on with hits and even threw in some unexpected songs (stack on my belt). He had a lot of energy and seemed to be very personal to the crowd, giving high fives, shaking hands etc. Also brought out French Montana and Meek Mill. Only disappointments were he didn't play "push it" and the concert ended very abruptly with no encore, but he's the boss so he can do what he wants. Bottom line, while he was on stage, he was killin it. def recommend seeing him.

  • Ricky rozay tears up boston

    by Jmoney1989 on 11/17/13Orpheum Theatre - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Played most of his top hits. Was on stage for 1.5-2 hrs. I'm a big fan so I did want him to do more. Also there was no opening act which I think was a good idea cause most opening rap acts are terrible if they are unknown. But I also think Rozay could of got one of the young MMG boys to come thru and open for him.

  • ROSS NEVER HAS A GOOD SHOW

by NEWYORKMERC on 4/15/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandRating: 1 out of 5

The show was bad, very unorganized. Most of the stage time was used by wannabe artist dancing on girls and drinking. They wasted so much time doing nothing that they ran out of time and cut rick ross time on stage. He was only on for about 20 min, very bad especially being that this was his show and he was the front liner.I will buy his cds becuase I like his music but I will never go and pay for a show to see him again. I go to all the shows in NY & NJ and I can tell you this isnt the first time he let his fans down.

  • Not too satisfied

by Twindestiny on 4/15/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandRating: 3 out of 5

The event overall was cool but I definitely would not purchase tickets to go to an event featuring the same artists that appeared on Friday. The DJ did a fantastic job keeping the crowd excited; he played songs from various artists that kept the crowd motivated! I went to the concert mainly to see French Montana and Rick Ross perform. When it was time for French Montana to come out and perform there was a sudden change and Rick Ross came out on stage instead! Really weird! If I am not mistaken, Rick Ross was supposed to be the closing act. While Rick Ross performed a few hits then out of nowhere French Montana came out on stage....REALLY weird! These guys did not seem too excited and I am thinking it is because the arena did not even appear to be a quarter full! Due to the emptiness my boyfriend and I was allowed to move up closer into another section. Not sure if these artists lost money over this event but I feel like I did too! Rick Ross left the stage without even saying thank you to the fans or anything; he just left French Montana continue in performing. Never again!

  • Rick Ross DJ invasion

Performers were great, venue was good, too much downtime between. Came to see the rappers not the DJs!!!!

  • Worst concert experience I've ever had!

    by ExpectedMore923 on 4/14/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandRating: 1 out of 5

The entire experience was a disaster. One of the artists on the bill did not show and there was over an hour wait in between the three artists that did show. Most of the time was spent with DJs playing records and about 50 random people on the stage lip synching to the songs. Disaster. Last concert I go to at Nassau, and most likely the last rap concert I'll ever attend.

  • Rick was horrible

by Sugabrown on 4/4/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

He came out and did a show for only 20-30 minutes. He never sung a full song on chorus of the songs and not a popular song. He didn't take his shirt off or anything. Rick is like my favorite rapper. N I was very upset for that show. All of the local artist could have been saved. What were their role, maybe they were the performers because from 7-9:30 they performed then Rick from 9:30-10 then it was OVER!!!

  • Rick Ross was HORRIBLE

by BTR225 on 4/3/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

This was the WORST concert I've ever been to. I've been to many concerts, including Lil Wayne, Nikki, Prince, etc. I had floor seats, only 6 rows back. I was super excited. Rick Ross and Friends. You would think that I would have at least heard of one of his "friends" before for $80+ dollars. All of the openers sucked. Who cares that some guy from Love and Hip Hop was there? No one from Maybach was even there, let alone anyone else I wanted to see. And Rick Ross came out finally, after about 3 hours of awful, and barely did any songs. Then the lights came on and everyone on stage disappeared. I get to see my boyfriend twice a month and I brought him to this concert. I wish we would have just stayed home, I had to waste my time with him being disappointed. Never again, Rick Ross.

  • Rick Ross Concert

by MrsBrown0410 on 4/2/13Baton Rouge River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 3 out of 5

I had great seats but the show itself was not what I expected. I haven't been to a rap concert before so I guess it was normal. It seemed like I liked hearing him better on a cd or on the radio.
