Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

The band was great and if you're a fan of hip hop you will enjoy the music. I was disappointed in the amount of time Ross actually rapped vs standing around posing while the record played. He has hits which you can't deny but lyrically his shows don't compare to others I've seen as the hype man actually carried the show.

  • Rick Ross is the BOSS!!!!

by NYNICK on 11/26/13Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Event and space were great. Ross did end the show ver abruptly and left the audience confused on whether or not the show was really over.

  • Rick Ross is Live BUT..

by Aimzzzzzzzz on 11/26/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

Rick Ross is one of my favorite rappers and from the MIA however I did not like that this was a full priced event for less than an hour performance. I know it was something promotional and all but I wish it would've at least been an hour 1/2. Overall I did enjoy it.

No interaction with the crowd. He had a hype man the whole time practically running the show. I was at least expecting some dancers. Opening acts were an hour and a half long and rick ross only performed for an hour. I would never pay to see him again.

  • Not worth it

by Anonymous on 11/26/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

He was in and out ! Didn't even end it properly .. The concert was suppose to start at 8 and he didn't come out till 9:30 and literally ended the concert at 10:30.. It must of been the worst I've ever been to.

Aside from him showing up to the concert an hour late, it was a good show. I thought it was a bit too short since he has so many hits.

  • He could've gave us more !!

    by sammie8732 on 11/26/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Idk if he was tired from the Florida classics or what, but he was not as hype as he normally is. Him being from the 305 I expected him to kill it, but overall it was ok.

  • Rozay in DC was a Boss!! Far from disappointing!

by BFLyles on 11/26/13DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not sure what the other awful reviews were talking about but Rozay was a true Boss in DC this night. Very classy and professional performance my man. The man came out in an all black suit, complete with slacks and patent leather shoes... Nice! And the band 1500 or Nuthin' was Rockin'!!. Bigupps to the drummer! The young boy was going crazy back there! They opened up for about a 30 minute set to warm the crowd and that's all I could see was slimmy GOIN IN on the drums! He stole the show (for the opening). Having a live band is waaaayy better than just a DJ playing music tracks!! Major win! Rozay performed for about an Hour and a half which was not too brief or too long. Perfect! I'll be going to see him next time he's in the DMV fa' sho!

  • You gotta see the Boss!!!

by Nonamiz on 11/23/13DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

We were able to meet him before the show with the VIP experience and he was so humble and down to earth! He's an artist you want to support! The 1500 or Nothin band did their thing! He performed all the favorite hits and his guest performers were awesome - especially Meek Mill! We had perfect seats in the 3rd row! It was definitely an experience I would like to have again! The Boss is always welcomed in DC!

  • ROZAY BROUGHT DAT SWAG!

by LEEHO on 11/21/13DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This concert was definitely for the grown. Rozay is so smooth with it, and the surprise guests really set it off. I would have loved to have seen more of him and less of the two Dj's that he had playing for over an hour but, when The Boss hit the stage, it was definitely OMG......big ups to the 1500 too man! Rozay.....you did that bruh-bruh.........

  • AWESOME!!!
