About

Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Rick Ross and Fat Trell delivered the goods. But WKYS had the Dj do a very long Dj set. That made the show too long. But overall, the show was excellent

    by R33S3 on 4/14/14Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

What a terrible performance!! Venue sucked and Rick Ross came on at 2:07. Really come on!!! The place closed at 3:00. So that meant he was done by 2:45! Song selection sucked . I will never see him again in concert nor will I go to ghetto as echo stage venue, where they charge 5 dollars for a non-name brand water and they don't serve any water in a cup!!

We were charged an additional $20 at the door. He didn't come on stage until 1:30am. The opening performances started around 11, and they were horrible.

  • Extremely disappointed Rick Ross concert

    by theworst2014 on 4/14/14Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I absolutely love Rick Ross. I am his #1 fan. The concert started at 9. The venue was ok. I didnt even mind the groups who performed. However when 1230...then 1 rolled around. The dj was just talking and playing music...then 130 and they were still playing music no perfomers. Everybody was talking about how they wished this show blended better. It was too much of a gap with no one performing and music just being played. Its like they were dragging it out, prolonging the process. I understand playing music to get the crowd pumped but it was taking too long. So now its 130am and Rick Ross still did not performed nor was he in the building. I planned on waiting it out because I really wanted to see him perform. But the atmosphere was sicking. I dont do drugs and I dont like being around it. This place had all this security yet no one was telling the numerous people in there smoking weed to put it out or leave. I was DISGUSTED that I spent my money and I couldn't even enjoy myself. My hair and my clothes were smelling because of all the drugs being smoked. I just left because I was tired of waiting and tired of the people just having a blantant disregard for others by doing there petty drugs in public. Money, time, and my excitement to see my favorite rapper was wasted. I am extremely disappointed :(. I will never go to echo sound stage again.

It was the closing of his show. He is from Miami. He came out for less than 45 mins. He can do so much better! So disappointed!

  • Wasn't worth it

    by RAY305 on 11/30/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

No opening act & Half the time Ross was on stage they were playing other artist music. And he was only on about a hour & 25min. Just never really could get in to the show.

  • Too short

by mckeydee on 11/27/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The event didn't start until an hour after 8:00 PM. The pre-show which consisted of a band only lasted about thirty minutes before Rick Ross hit the stage. I don't Ross' energy was anywhere near it's peak. He didn't seem too engaged. I was expecting a wider selection of his music to be played and maybe some new music from the album he's touring for. Overall I had a great time. I just wished the core experience lasted longer than just one hour.

  • by Anonymous on 11/27/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

He didn't say a word to the crowd after every song he would turn around and go by the dj the other guy that was on stage with him basically did his whole Show for him it was about an hour of show if that. He walked off the stage without even saying a word. Over all I expected way more out of a rick Ross show especially it being in maimi.

  • An awesome Show and an Unforgettable Night

by Kendoll on 11/27/13MGM Grand Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

The Rozay meet and greet was great. Ross performed for about 2 hrs. A lot of energy and the place was going nuts! ROZAY performed all the top hits. Hustli'n,BMF, 9 Piece, MC Hammer and more. Can't wait for the next local show. I'm a true Rozay fan for life.

  • by Anonymous on 11/26/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Great performer but performance was only one hour and we waited for almost two. Very disappointed.

I was very unhappy with this event. I would like to know how I can get a refund for the four tickets that I purchased. The concert was scheduled to start at 8pm, there were no opening acts & Rick ross didn't come out until 9:30pm.. His hype man was basically performing his songs & he was gone by 10:30pm. Worst concert I have ever attended!!

  • rick ross performance for the home team in miami

    by Dezzi889 on 11/26/13James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

The concert started over an hour late and it was finished in the same amount of time. he didn't say a word to the crowd and at the end he just walked off the stage. no one believed the show was over until the light were on. then all i heard was whispers all around on how people were so disappointed. these are your day one fans from Miami, thats how you treat them? not even a decent show.

I expected better, especially from rick ross. It was nothing out of this world. Rick Ross was on for about an hour/hour-ish if that. Not happy with this tour/Miami show. Good song list but should of been longer!
