Rick Ross on Tour
When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.
Rick Ross in Concert
A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop — Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj — and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
I Love It frm start to finish. Everyone was crunked and performs well
From Jeezy to T.I., Yeezy and Jay-Z, I've been to my fair share of concerts! But this one by far was one of the best! One of my favorite highlights of the night (amongst many) was when Ross played Soulja Slim, I'll Pay For It! So much love in the arena! The night definitely belonged to Boosie and he owned it!
Beginning to end this was not a show I'd recommend. The first artist didn't start until 930, (am hour and a half after the advertised time) while I'm used to About 1/2 hr delay, I feel 90 minutes was excessive. Our seats were awful so that didn't help but the audio quality in the nosebleed section was else than a kiddie boombox. Lakefront arena might be ok for sports events but for concerts it is horrible. I could have rented it on demand and gotten a better show. What a disappointment- as this was my birthday present to my son. Thumbs down
I really enjoyed myself! All of who performed were good, but Boosie really held it down! He had the crowd rocking! Never a dull moment on stage and his kids were going hard too! LOVED it!!! Best concert ever!!
Amazing show! I really enjoyed myself!! Yo Gotti & Lil Boosie really turned the crowd up!!
I am already a huge fan of Rick Ross, so I was excited to see him at my first concert. I've never been a huge fan of Yo Gotti, but he really rocked the crowd to open the show. I have seen other live performances on television that contained lots of pyrotechnics and lighting designs, but though this was a "normal" concert stage setting with lighting, this was amazing. Enjoyed every minute of the music and the crowd was so involved. Also some attendees even threw money in the front row of the crowd...not sure how I felt about that but it was interesting to watch.
The concert in New Orleans was off the chain! Rick Ross, Meek Millz, Yo Gotti, and LIl Boosie Boo rocked the stage! They even brought out Lil Snupe (RIP) mom. It was a memorable event and I can't wait until the next time I see all of them in concert. Me and my girlfriends drove all the way from Houston just to see them and New Orleans don't owe us nothing! LOL...We had a blast!
The concert was amazing. All of the rappers was good but Lil boosie was my favorite out them all. He shut it down.
Never got to see Rick Ross. It was advertised the show started at 9. We get to the venue and they didn't open the doors until 9:30. There were 5 open acts, great music by the DJ...but Rick Ross didn't get on stage until after 1AM. I have never been to a concert and I have to wait over 4 hours for the main event to hit the stage.
Best concert ever!! Will go again if it was today. Boosie did his thang. I really wanted to see and support him. Overall best concert I've been to.
It was a awesome concert , enjoyed every minute can't wait til next year !!!
I enjoyed every moment, especially when Boosie brought his kids into the stage #priceless moment
The show started late due to the audience coming late but other then that I stood on my feet screaming the words to every artist song ... And boosie was sooo good he had the entire stadium rocking
THE ENERGY WAS GREAT! ALL THE ARTIST CAME & SHOWED OUT. MONEY WELL SPENT!
He took way to long to come out.. And Fat Trel was not for me.. WACK
Great Show!!! Great sound!! Everyone was excited to get inside and it was well worth the wait.. Love Rick Ross!! I was celebrating my birthday. First time seeing him perform live so it was a treat!
However, doors opened at 9pm; yet, RR did NOT hit the stage until 2am! That is terribly unprofessional and inconsiderate of eager, adoring fans who paid $$$. Fortunately, RR's performance was good (albeit a bit short).
Although the venue itself was very nice, I was very disappointed in my overall experience. The doors to the show opened at 9pm. The main acts, Fat Trel and Rick Ross did not make an appearance until after 1am! When Rick Ross finally did show up, he preformed all of 10 minutes before Echo Stage (the venue) was closed. I paid $50.00+ and waited around for five plus hours only to see a total of 30mins of preforming from BOTH artists. I am extremely disappointed and will NEVER attend another concert of Rick Ross.
Thank U Thank U Thank U...I had a blast!!! The show was amazing. First upon arrival my VIP tickets got me in very quickly, not long of a wait at all. Then I was so happy I was able to just use my ticket on my phone to get in..easy!!! Overall it was love & I will do it again!!!
fat trel sucked. waste of time. Rick Ross is pretty good. Wish i only went to see Rick Ross and not fat trel. Rozay has bangers that are live and puts a good atmosphere.
