    Lineup not accurate

by NosmoRex on 7/20/14Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - Woodinville

Sometime between the time I bought the tickets and the show date, Cutting Crew dropped from the lineup. No notice or explanation was given. "The Motels" did not appear, nor did "Scandal" or "Naked Eyes". Martha Davis, Patty Smyth and Pete Byrne did appear, but shared the same backing band. Even the Go-Go's were not completely intact. The venue was nice, and Martha, Patty and Pete performed well, but The Motels, Scandal, and Naked Eyes did *not* appear as advertised.

    Replay America at DTE

by Anonymous on 7/19/14DTE - Detroit

The concert was only ok. Everybody was past their prime, but all the singers and bands worked very hard. The turnout was very light.

Great place to take your wife.

by Jonny58 on 7/15/14DTE Energy (Pine Knob) - Clarkston (Detroit)

Naked Eyes started out playing 3 songs, have to say at least this night his voice was gone, Then came the Motels or at least the lead singer Martha Davis, I really didn't know that much about the Motels, but recognized a few of her songs, woman had soul and still had some pipes to her, you have to remember this is 2014, and there hits were in the 80s, so were all a bit older, but Martha impressed me, she sang maybe 8 songs, then came Patti Smyth, definitely the best vocals of the night by far, this woman came on to put on a show, Looked very sexy, allot of energy, great vocals, put on a great show. I saw Patti once before and it was more of a jeans and a tee shirt laid back show where she showed allot of substance, but this show she went all out, I would go again. All 3 used the same band up until the Go Gos, The Go Gos came on and Belinda vocals were pretty shaky to begin with, but once blended in with the other girls sounded good, the Go Gos band as a group sound very tight, was impressed, very impressed. They also came to put on a show. Belinda is one very attractive woman, with obvious help, The Artist and audience both seem to have a good time. everyone played all there hits.

Missed 2 bands and half of another.

by gattoem on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

What we saw, 3 songs by Patty Smith and Scandel and all of the Go Go's was very good. Very enjoyable. The concert started at 4pm. We were checking into our room and changing. Couldn't get into the room until 4pm. By the time we were downstairs in the venue, We had missed Naked Eyes, The Motels, and some of Scandel. Couldn't believe the concert was over at 6:30pm. This taints my review. What I actually saw and heard was very good.

    Excellent Fun Show !!

by WallyJ24 on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

This concert was a truly great one !! The headliners were The Go-Go's who sung all of their hits such as We Got the Beat, Our Lips Are Sealed, Vacation, This Town, and so many others. Belinda looked and sounded great -- she sang bare footed on a big carpet on stage the whole time. Jane was her usual cool self and the rest of the group were superb. Before them was a great set by Patty Smyth & Scandal singing The Warrior, Goodbye to You, and other great songs. It was really entertaining. Before her was Martha Davis of The Motels who were also very good singing such hits such as Only the Lonely and much more. Very good. The opening act was Naked Eyes who did a short set. Overall, this concert event lasted about 3 hours and was a tremendous afternoon of fantastic performances and great music !! I loved it !!

Replay America Blast from the past

by happyday80 on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

All performers sounded great and had tons of energy. Each group was better than the last. I only wish it didn't start at 4 in the afternoon. I loved Scandal. She was interactive with the audience and even took pictures of the audience to post on line. The Go-Gos actually brought audience members up to the stage to dance. I only wish they had more acts representing the 80s. Cutting crew was a no show and no one mentioned it. Venue wasn't as well attended as I thought it would be

    Go-Gos at Hardrock Hollywood Fl

by WhoFanFlorida on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

I had low expectations for this concert. I saw the Go-Gos in Sunrise Florida about 15 years ago and they were okay. I have always liked their music so I decided to go. I was pleasantly surprised. The Go-Gos sounded great, had a lot of energy, and appear to be having a good time. They seem to be at the top of their game. The other acts were an unexpected pleasure. It should be noted that the other groups did not play. Rather, the lead singers from those groups played with a backing band. However, they were terrific. I particularly appreciated seeing Patti Smyth. I have always liked her music and she seemed really into it, displaying a great voice along with a sense of humor. If you are thinking of seeing this tour then please go. It is a lot of fun.

    false advertising

by BobRob1 on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

This was definitely bait and switch. With the exception of the GoGo's the other bands were not present, just the lead singers. Each got less than a full set at 3-5 songs each. I definitely feel short changed by this promoter.

The Go-Go's still rock, for old chicks. :-)

by Dino6977 on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

    1) Pretty sparse crowd. The floor was about 90%, but the second level, where we were, was less than 50%. 2) The Go-gos headlined and were awesome. 3) Martha Davis of The Motels hasn't lost a thing, vocally. 4) The same, sadly, cannot be said of Pete Byrne from Naked Eyes. 5) The Cutting Crew, who were supposed to be there, were not (visa problems alleged) 6) Patty Smyth can still do the Goodbye To You dance. Though she can't really hit the high notes anymore. 7) The show format was interesting. Byrne, Davis and Smyth all preformed with the same backing band. Davis added the sax player from the Motels and Smyth brought Jeff Burdick (the guy who co-wrote Sometimes Love Ain't Enough) 8) By using the same backing band, they only had one set change, so the show only lasted about 2:30. 9) Byrne did only 3 songs, but frankly I didn't even know one of those. (The other two were the hits: Promises, Promises and Always Something There To Remind Me) 10) Davis and Smyth each did six, though Smythe threw in a cover of Bobby Gentry's Ode to Billy Joe instead of either Love's Got A Line On You or Beat of a Heart 11) The Go-Gos did all the singles, except Get Up And Go and Turn To You, but added a bunch of album cuts like Skidmarks On My Heart, This Town and Lust To Love as well as Carlise's Mad About You and Cool Places that Weidlen did with Sparxx. 12) Kathy Valentine apparently got kicked out of the band, but they found a look and sound alike to replace her.

    Flashback to the 80's

by Pompano49 on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

Was good, started with Naked Eyes, Then Martha from The Motels, Patty from Scandal and then the Go Go's,started slow but once the Go Go's took the stage it became a great event. Same band was used by all groups except the Go Go's. Attendance was weak but those that did attend were entertained with a great show, which started at 4 PM. Length is 2.5 hours including a 30 min break for the Go Go's to set up.

    Magnificent

by Anonymous on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed the concert Sunday night. I'm 52, and never went to concerts and events in the early 80's, didn't have the time or money. So anytime I get to hear those beautiful songs of my youth - in real time - I'm a happy camper. Thanks to the promoters for putting events like these together. I only hope they'll be others.

    Undercard KO

by JGdub on 7/9/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

Patty Smyth rocked and should have played longer. Martha Davis rocked and should have played longer. Naked Eyes.....meh. The Go-Gos looked bored and seemed to be just going through the motions. There also seemed to be some animosity between the members. Lastly, it started at 4PM and was over by about 7PM!!!?? Lousy scheduling. Barely three stars.

    Awesome lineup terrible format!

by cane2112 on 7/7/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

Naked Eyes opened with 3 songs, Martha Davis 4 songs, Patty Smyth 5 songs, all this took less than an hour as they played in front of the same backing band. They were followed by a FULL set from the Go Go's. When you market a festival as starring these acts I would expect longer sets from each of the opening acts. I went with the anticipation of the Patty Smyth set and she was on stage for less then 20 minutes!!! And she stated that they asked her not to engage the audience. I will say that the three opening acts sounded amazing, the Go Go's were not as good.

    Sounds of the 80's

by SanSimeon on 7/7/14Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

This was in interesting show of mostly 80's female musicians. First up was Martha Davis who did some of the hits front the Motels then came Patty Smyth of Scandal. Patty Smyth still has a fantastic voice and put on a great set. Both Martha and Patty shared the same band. The second set was the GoGos who all in all put on a very good show.
