Been seeing them since the 80's and swear each time they get better.
First time seeing them live. It won't be the last Amazing show.
Only the Motels and Go Go's played at our venue. The rest of the bands did not. We knew this going in, so no problem there. The Motels sounded good. They played for an hour. But we really came to see the Go Go's. It took about a half hour for the Go Go's to setup. Then they started in, one hit after another. They sounded great. I could have listened to them all night. BC was mesmerizing. They even had some audience members on stage, which was hilarious. The problem was that they only played for 45 minutes. That and the fact that the drummer cursed out the audience for filming and taking pictures with their phones earned them 3 stars. I would go to see them again.
My 21 year old daughter and I had a great time listening to Scandel, Naked Eyes, Motels and the Go-Go's. I saw the Go Go's when I was in high school in 1983. Those bands were a part of my high school and college memories, and it was great to enjoy their music again with my daughter. We had a really fun time listening and singing along to the music. Awesome concert!
A trip back on time toy high school days! The Go Go's, Martha Davis (The Motels), patty Smythe (Scandal) and Peter Byrne (The Cutting Crew) all still sound amazing! Very entertaining concert!
Naked Eyes opened with 3 songs, then Martha Davis/Motels with 5 songs, then Patty/Scandal with 5 songs, then the (4, less Kathy) Go-Go's brought down the house with a good serving of their material.
Artists were incredibly entertaining...each of them played there most popular songs; and unforgettable night with great seats ta boot. I would do it again in a heartbeat and miss how much this era of music influenced my life how I listen to music today! No matter how young or old, 80's music will be around for many generations to come.
Naked Eyes (Pete Byrne) kicked off with an awesome song called (What) In the Name of Love, with a great 80's vibe, and played his hits Promises, Promises & Always Something There to Remind Me.. Martha Davis was fantastic and great with the crowd. Patty Smyth has the best vocals in America. With the original Scandal guitar player, the songs sounded great. The Go-Go's displayed more depth than I knew they had. Good to see them together still (minus the bass player, who had a good fill-in).
The show, featuring the Go-Go's, Patty Smyth, the Motels and Naked Eyes was a great blast from the past. The acts sounded as great as they did in the 80. The only minus was the smell of the nearby landfill when the wind blew the wrong way.
All of this bands sounded like watching them back in the 80's. Go Go's were exceptional for the fact they all played their own instruments. Not like many of the bands out there today. Plus they sounded amazing! Don't miss them next time around!!
Not worth the money I paid. The Go-Go's looked great but only played an hour, Maybe an hour and a half. The whole event was over by 9:30 P.M.
This show was alot of fun! and it went by at break neck speed. The first 3 acts all used the same backup band so they playes literally one right after another. there was only a small break to set up the Go Go's stage. the whole thing was just barely over 2 hours. the foirst 2 acts were not worth mentioning. Patty Smyth is just awesome and killed it! her long time guitar player Keith Mack from Scandal joined her and the hits sounded great and she really knows how to work a crowd. After her set, I jokingly said, I bet Belinda is back there crying right now, cause who wants to follow this! But the Go Go's came out and ripped through all their hits and had everyone dancing all night. A great show, I just thought the tickets were kinda high. Could have done without the first 2 bands and that seemed to be the respose from the crowd as well. Go and enjoy Patty and The Go Go's!
It was so great to hear all the music from my childhood, live again. Everyone was great. It was just a fun, laid back concert with lots of reasons to get up on your feet and dance.
I loved this concert! Notably, Patty Smythe from Scandal. She was so funny! She cried, I cried. Everything you would want in an 80s Reunion Concert! Martha Davis from The Motels was amazing! The voices On these ladies was like being back in 1984, Valley high, LIKE totally! The GoGO's were so fun, everyone was on their feet, Dancing to the beat! Had a great time, the highlight of my summer!
All artists surprisingly continue to be at the top of their game. Pete Byrne, Martha Davis, Patty Smyth and the GoGo's were absolutely outstanding. All sang their bigs hits of the 80's and the crowd (young and old) sang right along with them. It was a nice walk down memory lane.
The year, 1981, I was six years old. My Mom purchased my first ever cassette tape. It was Beauty and The Beat by the Go-Go's. I fell in love with the music. Their live show in Lincoln, CA was a dream come true. They were absolutely perfect!!
Loved the idea and execution of having some singers open who do not need their specific band. This took the place of the opening act and we go to hear the Motels, Naked Eyes and Scandal with 3 - 5 songs each. then an Intermission before the Go-Gos came on stage and did a full set of songs to close the concert. Chateau Ste. Michelle was a fantastic venue as well.
I love a lot of 80's music and I really like all of these bands (Naked Eyes, Motels, Scandal, The GoGo's) but I got there just a few minutes late and missed some of my favorite band out of all of these: Naked Eyes! Why did Naked Eyes have to open for everybody else?! It should have been the other way around in my opinion. Still a fun show, though, and the novelty of seeing some favorite groups and individuals perform was awesome!
The Go-Go's, The Motels, Scandal, and Naked Eyes were all fantastic and certainly didn't disappoint! The venue was awesome.
All Performers were great. Naked eyes guy. The Motels Girl and Scandel Patty smyth. The Go GO"s still know how to rock,
