About

REO Speedwagon are one of the definitive American arena rock bands to emerge in the ’70s,  selling over 40 million records worldwide across 16 studio albums. Formed in 1967, the band’s 1978 album You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish launched a streak of nine consecutive albums earning an RIAA Platinum certification or higher, but REO reached truly rarified air with their Diamond-certified 1980 album, Hi Infidelity, which spent 15 weeks atop the Billboard 200. Hi Infidelity hosted the band’s first Hot 100 No. 1 single "Keep On Loving You" as well as its Top 5 follow-up "Take It On the Run," and the band would top the chart again with “Can't Fight This Feeling” from 1984’s Wheels Are Turnin’. REO Speedwagon have remained a touring force, organizing several co-headlining treks with genre heavyweights Styx, Chicago and Def Leppard. In 2022 alone, the REO and Styx joint tour earned $25 million. As of 2024, REO Speedwagon is made up of lead vocalist Kevin Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall, Dave Amato, Bryan Hitt, Derek Hilland, and Matt Bissonette.

    Phenomenal Muscicians/Excellent!!

by Sharon Lynne on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

I had heard that REO was incredible live so expectations were high. REO went above and beyond!!! Spokesman Kevin Cronin was so personable and his commentary added to the performance. He ran around (literally) and gave one hell of a performance. Each musician was stellar - sound and vocals were amazing!!!! .38 Special opened and provided an absolutely awesome performance!! I've loved both bands since the late 70s and together provided an incredible experience that I will treasure. P.S. #IlovesongswrittenbyJimPeterik!!!

    Great night

by Concert goer on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

38 special was first band. They were good. Not as many hits as I seemed to think but did a great job. REO was a treat! I had forgotten how many wonderful technical guitar solos they have. Their guitarist killed every song. Very impressive. The front man was entertaining, told good stories, high energy and can still sing. Definitely not like 30 years ago but plenty good. We thoroughly enjoyed the night!

by Charie on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

Great time !! Great music!!! Can’t go wrong with these two iconic bands from the 70’s and 80’s. Don’t need any comments about politics. Just need a little more Rock n Roll.

    Bad song list

by Randyd on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

38 Special was great, REO Speedwagon had a bad song list. They have a lot of great songs they could have done in place of some of the bad ones they did.

    Fantastic Concert

by usmboyzzz on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

We are fans of 38 Special and REO from the 80's. I wasn't sure if it would live up to the expectation. But they were both fantastic. Lead singer with REO is 72 years old, and can still rock it. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and highly recommend for anyone who gets a chance to see them.

    Speakers were distorted

by Flying turkey trot on 5/4/24Brandon Amphitheater - Brandon

It was exciting to hear REO; the music of my college years. Unfortunately the sound mixer was trying to push the speakers to the point the music was hazy and distorted. We left early and listened to our favorite hits from the parking lot.

    Sound system was terrible

by SKS on 4/13/24Hertz Arena - Estero

I’m surprised at all the great reviews for the show at Hertz Arena in Estero. While REO put on a great show, the sound system left much to be desired. As some others have said, it was hard to make out the words even to songs that we knew. The sound was much worse, as in absolutely horrible for Cheap Trick. I had been looking forward to seeing them, but their show was pure torture. The sound was sooo bad.
