Rema Live In Concert

Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Rema found fame at the young age of 18. He grew up singing and rapping all throughout grade school -- it just came naturally to him.. In 2018, Rema posted a freestyle on Instagram of him singing D'Prince's track, "Gucci Gang," and it ended up going viral. D'Prince saw the video and decided to fly Rema to Lagos to offer the artist his first record deal. Rema then signed with Jonzing World -- a subsidiary of Mavin Records. In 2019, Rema topped Apple Music charts in Nigeria with the release of his first EP, Rema. Stardom continued to rise after his song "Iron Man" ended up on former President Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist. But his rise to fame didn't stop there. Also in 2019, Rema released his first music video for the song "Dumebi" featuring an appearance by Nigerian fashion model and fashion influencer Diana Eneje. The video has since garnered more than 55 million views. Following the release of two more EPs, Rema released his debut album titled Rave & Roses in March 2022. The 16-track album features guest appearances by prominent artists such as Chris Brown, 6LACK, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. The album topped the Billboard Afrobeats chart within the first week of its debut.  Rema has since been nominated for and won numerous awards, including being nominated for the Viewer's Choice award at the 13th edition of The Headies. In 2020, Rema also earned the Soundcity MVP Awards for Best New Artist. That same year, he was nominated for Best Viewers Choice: International Act at the BET Awards.

  • Great show but locked bathrooms immediately after!!!

by Tavi Girl on 7/25/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Rema was a great performer had the crowd on its feet and singing the entire performance. However, Coney Island Amphitheater closed its bathrooms immediately following the performance!!! and so all of us in the audience had no where to relieve ourselves!!! This is inhumane and dirty. I paid over 100$ per ticket and should be allowed to use the bathroom after the concert. This was inhumane and I will think twice before going to Coney Island Amphitheater again.

  • Great performance but venue is too far

by RAW on 7/25/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Venue way too far, performance was great but security took too long to sort through bags, they should accept credit cards to pay for locker storage, and the seating was not organized. Wasn’t worth the long commute.

  • Not impressed

by Kt on 7/25/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I was really looking forward to this experience as I absolutely love Rema. However I was just not impressed but the performance. I felt like it was so short and started way too early. He should know New Yorkers always late 😭 Overall again I love Rema, so this May have just been a venue issue. There was literally no organization as well; people were standing everywhere wherever they could find. Disappointing considering I was really looking forward to this.

  • Sound was bad but

    by R. D. on 7/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The sound was bad but Rema put on an energetic show! It was energy from beginning to the end!I would see him again at a different location.

  • Disappointing

by Luna on 7/24/23Rating: 2 out of 5

People were let into the concert space late and the venue was overcrowded. Rema was scheduled to perform at 9pm, but he didn't appear until 10:30pm. He then sang for less than an hour. My second time seeing him in concert and it will be my last.

  • loved every second

    by F. S. on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

  • Rema at The House of Blues

by Ashlie on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I have been wanting to see Rema live since he first came out! He is obviously very attractive but even a better person & performer. I would see him 10000 times if i could!!

  • Rema - Boston

by Gabby on 7/24/23Rating: 4 out of 5

House of Blues and tickets need to be more clear on which level GA your ticket is. Also, the performer was about an hour and a half late.

  • Super good but short performance

    by D. H. on 7/22/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I hate to be that person who leaves a not so great review but Rema performed for exactly 1 hour. He came out at 10:15 and concert ended at 11:15. My back hurt after 3 hours of waiting. And way too many teases lol as if he was just gonna come out but he didn’t.

  • Best concert experience ever 🤍

by Mya on 7/19/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was first time going to see Rema. He catered to everyone especially the women. I had jeans on and I wished I didn’t where that. The man had us wanting to dance from the minute he got on stage. He also literally sounds so amazing. His voice is so beautiful. If I had the money I would go again. ❤️

  • Amazing

by Koo on 7/19/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Rema in action and he did not disappoint! I loved every minute of it! I'll be back for the next tour!

  • What a Show!!!!

by Marilyn on 7/19/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I had a time with my homegirls. Rema knows how to put on a show. I enjoyed every single moment of the concert. I wanna go to another concert soon.

  • BENIN KING

by Janet on 7/19/23Rating: 5 out of 5

AMAZING PERFORMANCE I showed up at 9:15pm and still made it close to the front

  • Loved it but the venue and the crowd not so much

by Isa on 7/19/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The venue was to small for all those people and everyone kept trying to push to the front. It was really hot and we waited 2hrs before Rema came on. Rema was great wish his set was a bit longer but I’m glad I got to see him

  • Raving!!!!

    by Indy X on 4/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I went to the Rema Concert in Atlanta last August! I loved it! He sounds amazing in person! He is so hyped and has so much energy!!! He was all over the stage and even invited people on the stage! I am definitely going to see him again! I loved everything about his concert! Even the audience was a vibe!

  • Amazing

by Esi Beauty on 9/11/22Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Rema, he did an amazing performance. I had so much fun, and the Djs prior to Rema’s arrival was so litt! They knew how to keep the crowd going as we waited for Rema. When Rema arrived, the atmosphere was electric! I love how he interacts with his fans. This show was truly a rave. I definitely enjoyed my experience. 10/10

  • It was a good experience but we missed REMA!

by Coco on 9/11/22Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The venue and staff were really great. The dj’s and opener we’re awesome but we missed REMA because he came on after 10:00pm and the concert started at 7:00. We hope to catch him next time he’s on NY!

  • Rema 2022 | Day 2

by Gift U. on 9/11/22Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Rema is a very energetic and exciting performer! He was committed to making sure everyone had a good time. I loved seeing him on stage! His use of various props was one of the most unique displays I had ever seen at a concert! Overall, I thought the concert was great. I liked seeing security present in front of the barricade because some concerts I have been to did not have security to help regulate pushing. Minor improvements include not saving most of the hit songs (some, yes but not most) until the end of the concert as people might get tired and to spend more time doing sound check because some technical difficulties caused delays in the beginning of the show. Also, there should be a more efficient way of getting fans who are asked to go on stage from the crowd because people use these opportunities to push aggressively (e.g. ask people to walk to the sides and security will get them from there).

  • Electrifying

by Lynn on 9/11/22Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Thursday I went to see Rena. It was Electrifying!!! Suddenly the lights came on, and this young artist provided an outstanding performance beyond words can explain. His performance but all of us into an Ahhhh. The crowd and I were so elevated by his energy. He sound exactly like his record. It’s was magnificent!

  • Great

by Tasha on 9/11/22Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The line was very long but the staff were very professional and organized that kept the line moving quick. The drinks were so watered down (depending on which bartender to went to) Overall the vibes was good Rema's performance was great !!
