Rema Live In Concert

Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Rema found fame at the young age of 18. He grew up singing and rapping all throughout grade school -- it just came naturally to him.. In 2018, Rema posted a freestyle on Instagram of him singing D'Prince's track, "Gucci Gang," and it ended up going viral. D'Prince saw the video and decided to fly Rema to Lagos to offer the artist his first record deal. Rema then signed with Jonzing World -- a subsidiary of Mavin Records. In 2019, Rema topped Apple Music charts in Nigeria with the release of his first EP, Rema. Stardom continued to rise after his song "Iron Man" ended up on former President Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist. But his rise to fame didn't stop there. Also in 2019, Rema released his first music video for the song "Dumebi" featuring an appearance by Nigerian fashion model and fashion influencer Diana Eneje. The video has since garnered more than 55 million views. Following the release of two more EPs, Rema released his debut album titled Rave & Roses in March 2022. The 16-track album features guest appearances by prominent artists such as Chris Brown, 6LACK, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. The album topped the Billboard Afrobeats chart within the first week of its debut.  Rema has since been nominated for and won numerous awards, including being nominated for the Viewer's Choice award at the 13th edition of The Headies. In 2020, Rema also earned the Soundcity MVP Awards for Best New Artist. That same year, he was nominated for Best Viewers Choice: International Act at the BET Awards.

  • Disappointing

by Neesha on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I'm not sure what was happening with the air conditioning in the Tabernacle but it felt like it wasn't working at all. Extremely hot. People were getting overheated. The opening acts were ok. Rema cancelled the show mid performance because of the conditions of the venue. He said he would reschedule. As of today we don't know if we will be refunded or if Rema will be performing at a later date. If there were issues with the AC, the show should have been cancelled or rescheduled before it even started. To have people waiting for hours only for the headlining artist to cancel mid performance is very disappointing. Some people travelled long distance to attend. I hope another date is given so we can see Rema actually perform and hopefully Tabernacle fixes their ac issues.

  • There was no concert

by Big bills on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

The building was extremely hot. The sound was trash. And the artist said he did not want to perform under these conditions so he left and the concert was canceled.

  • SHOW CANCELED

by Jolina on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

We didn’t get a proper show because the venue was absolutely trash. Old audio equipment and no proper stage hands it ruined the performers confidence

  • Rema in Atlanta

by Kaiya on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Rema performed 2 songs and then cancelled the show due to poor ventilation. The Tabernacle in Atlanta was very hot and was getting hotter as the night went on. I agree with his decision. Fans passing out from the heat would not have been good.

  • I never got my money back

by Ada on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

We were told the show was canceled after waiting for 3 hours, just for him to perform one song and then cancel the rest of the show. We still have no idea if we’re getting a refund or if the show is being rescheduled.

  • Awful

    by Maya A on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

This was the worst concert I have been to. The venue was extremely hot and the artist ended the show after 2 songs. The sound quality was also horrible as they said the equipment was overheating. I am hoping everyone gets a refund.

  • Rema cancelled during his performance

by Es on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Waste of time, only performed two songs. We haven’t got any updates on will we get a refund or rescheduling.

  • Robbed and misled

by Ozi on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

The concert was cancelled mid performance honestly can even say middle cause that would imply some middle but no it was cancelled in the BEGINNING. I think the worse part is he asked us if he should cancel and the crowd vehemently told him NO. Now that was a disrespect to fans not the sound not heat not the venue but you Rema. 0/10 would not recommend!

  • Tabernacle arena Concert

by Nicki on 7/29/23Rating: 1 out of 5

He cancelled the show after two songs after telling us it was too hot in the venue for him to perform.

  • Another Banga!!!

by Dee on 7/27/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Rema was great!!! He came with hits after hits, worked the stage, and is an overall great performer! My friends and I were overall pleased with the show! The venue was a bit lacking and folks were just roaming all over in incorrect sections and seats which made the experience a bit frustrating. No rhyme or reason for the lax and absence of order! House of Blues, let’s fix this for the future.

  • It was incredible

  • 1 word… S A D

    by T. B. on 7/27/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I went to see Rema here in ATL, the show started at 8 and Rema came out around 10:20. He then proceeded to stop to tell us the reason why he was late (because the venue was really hot) then proceeded to cancel the show mid performance due to that reason. Everyone was very disappointed. :( so idk if we’re getting refunds or an update on a new show

  • Good performer 💜💜

by Zip on 7/26/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time! Luckily for me I showed up very late but he just got on stage so thank God. He was funny, entertaining, energetic, and sounded great! I would love to see him again!

  • Very Unprofessional

by WALKED IN THE RAIN TO WAIT FOR 3 HRS on 7/26/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Walked in the rain, stood in line for 30+ minutes to then wait for 3 hours for Rema to come out. Openers & dj after dj it took forever!! Then he finally came on, and to me, the sound was different, I didn’t like the live band, he was acting like it was a rock concert & not an Afrobeats concert. I was very disappointed & even got sick after that day from all the rain. It was a waste of gas/walking/waiting & a Good Friday night! Very disappointing as a fan 😠😣😒

  • it was alright

    by n. b. on 7/25/23Rating: 2 out of 5

seeing rema in person was absolutely amazing. but the concert as a whole was not. the show started at 8 when it was supposed to start at 7. rema himself came out at like 10pm and that was when the concert was supposed to end. instead it ended at 11:30-40. the opening acts were nice and the djs were great but you could even start to see them get tired because of how low energy the crowd was. just wished there was more organization.

  • Horrible venue

    by Scott S. on 7/25/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Rema was great and had great stage presence, but the venue was horrible. Coney Island Amphitheater was disappointing in the sense that it was completely unorganized and chaotic; from waiting on an unorganized line to get in the venue, which took 45 mins to going to get drinks on a very short line; the line and the barista moved extremely slow creating an extra 40 mins wait. We did not even make it to our seat because the crowd took over the sections causing chaos. Sadly Rema’s set was shockingly short and played some hits but not all, some missing was “Time and affection” and “Love”.

  • It was really great

by Lee on 7/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The check in went smooth, Rema is a good entertainer I really enjoyed myself

  • Great stage prescence!!

    by Chico716 on 7/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Rema's performance was wonderful. His stage presence was phenomenal. You don't even have to know the words to his all his songs to enjoy his concert. Would definitely see him again if he comes back in town.

  • Needs more organization

by Shauna on 7/25/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I love Rema, but Coney Island Amphitheater definitely needs more organization. I think that it’s fairly new but a team meeting is needed. There was a lot of chaos and bum rushing to get inside of the venue. The doors did not open at 7. It took us a half an hour to order drinks even though the line was very short and we never made it to get our seat. Remas set was very short.

  • It was an amazing experience

by Softie on 7/25/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I loved every bit of the experience. It was amazing and so much fun. I didn’t like my seating position but I guess that’s my fault but apart from that, I had fun.
