Great venue see many events- i have seen the pipers 9times now- I should have figured it would a smaller show- i was hoping for more dancing. Still a great show! Sad wasnt bigger crowd.

We had a blast! We saw the Red Hot Chilli Pipers last year in Waterloo, IA at the Irish Fest, so we were excited to see them again in Ames and they did not disappoint! A lot of talent, energy and fun!
Wish they would come round more often!! Next time I can see them I'm told will be at Irish fest in Waterloo Iowa 2024.
This concert had lights that shone into the audience's eyes and the sound was so loud that the ear plugs were not even effective. Maybe we're just too old for them? They were accomplished musicians however.
I loved it! Would like to see them again and bring family with me that I know would enjoy the experience! Bag pipes and rock music what else can you ask for.
Fun, small venue. Great time. Always a good show. Looking forward to seeing the band at the Highland Games in New Hampshire.
The Red Hot Chili Pipers are Hot Hot HOT!! So much fun….I love them. Second time seeing them and will absolutely go again. Great show and talent!!
Not sure if it was the musicianship or the nature of bagpipes, but the cover songs were lame and uninspiring. The addition of a soul singing crooner reduced even more from any potential enjoyment. Recommended for hardcore fans only.
Remarkably talented - each member of the group - 2 guitars, keyboard, great drummer and wonderful singer...and three who play bagpipes Such a skill playing bagpipes - not to mention to play current energetic electric music. A great evening. Place was full. All stayed to end. Really an uplifting evening.
I USE TO LOVE THIS BAND. A REAL ROCK/BAGPIPE EXPERIENCE. I KNOW COVID REEKED HAVOC ON THE INDUSTRY BUT THIS BAND HAS LOST THEIR DIRECTION AND SOUL. TOO MUCH TIME ON A LAME SINGER. THEY ARE NOW NOTHING MORE THAN A BAGPIPE COVER BAND. WON'T SPEND ANY MORE MONEY ON THIS GROUP. LOVE THE CABOT THEATER.
These guys are world-class musicians! Even though some of their show might seem a little bit cheesy it was definitely done for entertainment and it was very entertaining! Family-friendly suitable for all audiences and simply the best musical value!

This band is awesome! They are high energy in constant motion. The bagpipers are extremely talented, as well as their band. They featured the three bagpipers and one electronic guitarist who proceeded to do a number of solos. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and would recommend the band to anyone.
This band was full of talent! The lead singer had a fantastic voice! All of the members were dressed in Scottish attire befitting their heavy native accents.The bag pipes added a uniquely appealing sound to the rock music that they played. Many in the audience clapped & danced to their music.It appeared everybody left feeling quite uplifted by this wonderful experience and the desire to hear more! I'd go see them again!!!
I had read about the group and knew what to expect; while the others in my party thought they were a Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band. So, we all were very happy with the show. They put on a great one. Every member of this 8 piece group is so talented! Wonderful evening.
They were amazing! Played a lot longer than I thought they would. Had a wide array of different genres of music they played. It was a fantastic show!
I was on the fence about attending this show & oh my how mad I would have been if I missed it. The guys had so much energy & I could tell they were having fun performing. I would definitely recommend this show!!!!
First, this concert was at the Akron Civic Theater, which is a smaller venue than others where the RHCP perform their show. The Akron Civic Theater is a stunningly beautiful location with great sound and an intimate feel for a show of this nature. The Chilli Pipers themselves?--masters of their craft! The band was likely half of their entire troupe (due to the size of the stage) but it did not dampen the enthusiasm with which the band played, engaging the audience to stand, clap and sing along. It was all wonderful, and the pipers, drummers and guitarists were all incredibly talented! Luckily, I will get to see them perform at least once more this year. I could listen to their music on repeat. Love, love, loved it! Thank you Red Hot Chilli Pipers for this long awaited show!
So glad I didn't have to go to Scotland to see these guys. I've followed them for years. What a fun concert with a Celtic flare, and well known rock tunes. So glad they did Leave the Light On, which is one of my favorite tunes. Well worth the drive from MI to see the show. Amazing musicianship as well. Not easy to play the bagpipes, let alone with the skill and precision that these guys do.
