As a first timer listening to Bagpipes, this concert did NOT disappoint. It was so good that we would go see it again. The talent that this group has is immeasurable and endless. The performed the whole time with except of a small intermission. If you get a chance to see them in concert, please do yourself a favor and go see them!
Saw the Red Hot Chili Pipers at the Brown County Music Center in Nashville, Indiana. The facility was clean, well run and well staffed for the event. The parking process was very professional with sufficient personnel guiding you into your parking spot and out when the show was over. We pre-paid for parking closer to the facility and it was worth it. A point worth noting is that pretty much any purse will be to big for their security requirements - and the workers at all levels worked hard to make sure that if you had a purse larger than allowed, that you found out about it earlier rather than later. Inside, the security and concessions were well staffed, people were quickly moved through security and on to seating. I don't think there is a bad seat in the Music Center. Every seat has a full view of the stage. The Red Hot Chili Pipers did not disappoint. Before this concert, we had only seen them on YouTube. They are fantastic live. The pipers worked hard to interact with the crowd and their singer gave every song 100% and more. The. unique bag pipe sounds, interwoven with modern instruments and stirring vocals made for a fun evening. Two standout songs were "Eye of the Tiger"by Survivor and "Don't Stop Believing"by Journey. We especially liked the traditional bagpipe songs and one written by the band's bassist, which had an almost jazz fusion rhythm to it powered by their very capable drummer. The show lasted about 2 hours, with one break and one encore. Overall the venue, people working there and the Band made for a fun night in Nashville, Indiana.
Didn't know what to expect. Was dubious about pop music and bagpipes. Third song was a ZZ Top favorite of mine. I was sold. Excellent time. Fun all the way through. Kyle is the piper to watch he knows his pipe. Only thing I would add is a little more of the traditional sounds for those who don't know bagpipes. the best song was a traditional Scottish reel.
As always, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers put on a great show! Their energy is over the top and their enthusiasm is infectious! What a fun night! We love the fusion of traditional pipes and rock music!
Did not know what to expect but it was such a fun show. High Enegry . Great songs and very talented Musicians. The whole auditorium had a blast singing and dancing along to the bag pipers
Amazing Talent and Personalities! This show melds Scottish flair with some great rock anthems. A great experience.
Very enthusiastic performance. We would have preferred to be able to hear the bagpipes more but they are drowned out by drums and electric guitar. All of the musicians are very talented. Amazing Grace would have been better performed with a solo bagpipe and simply sung lyrics. Don't expect Scotland the Brave or other bagpipe standards. The audience was mostly over 60 so I think a lot of people expected more bagpipes. Still a fun show.
Had no idea what to expect- went with no expectations and boy were we delighted! A very enjoyable evening! So full of energy and fun! We left smiling from ear to ear! We are hoping they will return so we can bring others with us next time-- A great night!
The Pipers were musically fantastic, and they were fun interacting with the audience, getting fans to get up and dance. Do not need to be Scottish to enjoy them.
