Incredible show. Better than I thought it could be. The talent on that stage is remarkable. Hope they come back soon.

This is my second event at the kirby center this season. I've enjoyed both. I especially enjoy the meet and greet after the concert. The red hot chili pipers were fantastic. It's amazing how they took some of the beloved rock songs and played them to bagpipes. They sound tight and right on note every time. A 'Thanks' to the band for their great energy!

Great band, unique use of bag pipes for rock and roll music. Very entertaining group. We'd see them again should they come back to the area.

  • My own fault

    by 22Giants on 9/30/13MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 1 out of 5

While I must take most of the blame I do feel quite jipped! When I purchased these tickets I thought I was getting tickets to the red hot Chilli Peppers! After a friend pointed out my stupidity we decieded to give the PIPERS a chance. I bought 4 tickets at $87 dollars a seat (keep in mind i thought i was going to the PEPPERS not the PIPERS). The Pipers were not that bad but deffinatly not worth $87!!!! I think $30 was more the speed for this group. There were three acts, and Irish folk group (they were ok) a female contry singer (not worth paying for) and the Pipers. To add insult to injury I recieved an email two days before the concert stating that the Pipers tickets were now being offerd at 25% off. Once at the concert I found I was not alone, many people there made the same mistake as me. Some lived as far away as Bangor Maine!!!!! When all was said and done I felt as thoug I had just been robbed! I tried to make the best of it but there wasn't much to be happy about!

1st Opener was good what I would expect, the female country singer was less than forgettable.... why did she have to annouce who wrote each crappy song she sung? knowing what unknown artist wrote each of her "track act" songs didn't make them better. And why would the country station play sleepy country song during thier longer than nesassary breaks? Trying to increase beer sales?

  • Chiki Pipers or Chili Peppers

Some people thought that they were seeing the Red Hot chili peppers ... big surprise

  • BagROCKIN!!

by cassalyst on 4/4/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

This was, by far, the best live show I have ever seen. The band had so much energy, and they were clearly thrilled to be there. I have never seen a band as happy as the Pipers! I took my father to this show, because he loves bagpipe music. He had heard them on CT public television, and I was the only one in my family who was willing to go, never having really enjoyed bagpipe music myself. Well, the Pipers made me a convert! We're hoping they come back soon, and will definitely be going to see them in the future! I've also told a ton of people about them, and I've recommended them to all!

A ton of energy, amazingly talented musicians! Not just for the St. Patrick's Day crowd either- these guys are great to watch for any age group. I am taking my 7 year old with me next time.

  • Chilli Pipers

    by Mike580 on 3/20/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

They were phenominal. The best we hav seen in yeas. The seating should have been posted. Picking seats was difficult and we have terrible seats. Otherwise it was great. Can' wait for them to come back. The first group you could have done without.

by moonb on 3/20/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! Fun, great energy and very entertaining. The members of the Red Hot Chili Pipers were phenomenal, playing familiar songs and some traditional celtic songs as well. Who knew "bag-rock" could be so much fun! A very talented, cohesive group of young musicians who really seem to love and enjoy performing, making people smile and dance a little crazy.

  • Red Hot Chilli Pipers Rock!!!

    by MarieM215 on 3/19/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

The Chilli Pipers are truly amazing. Not only do they have incredible talent, but they know how to play the crowd and have fun.

  • RHCP put on a great show

by SFDF on 3/19/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Great show in a small venue not noted for concerts. Group sounded great, really got the crowd into it, and pulled off the event looking like big venue showman. Appear to be down to earth guys when talking with the crowd after the show selling their albums. Weird crowd with older grandparents, lots of 50 somethings, bunch of St. Pat's Day dressers and lots of tweens with Mom and Dad. RHCP really put a lot of effort into the show with enough sweat left on the stage they needed wet-vacs to clean off. Great time.

  • Red Hot Chili Pipers, awsome!

by afdcaptrb on 3/19/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Red Hot Chili Pipers are an unforgettable show! Skill and energy off the scale! The accoustics in the Mass Mutual Hall were not the best, but the Chili's overcame. A truely remarkable group, I will see them again at every opportunity.

by Glowster on 3/19/11MassMutual Center - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Eight of the most talented, entertaining, enique personalities you'll ever see on one stage. The blend of instruments makes this show something you won't see anywhere else. It's an incredible experience and I hope they come back to this area so we can bring our friends next time.

  • What a fantastic night!!!
