  • Ticket/ Parking

by Big Al on 6/5/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 3 out of 5

Tickets must be on your phone. It’s only a few years ago that phones were not even allowed at the open. Then Why charge 30 bucks to park and no one scans your ticket? Something not right.

  • Great time

by JJ on 6/5/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 5 out of 5

The only issue was the weather but that wasn’t anyones fault. The venue was in great shape & well maintained. It was clean even with the mud on the grass pathways. We were in the Club 1904 and were dry during the whole day. Drink & food services did a great job keeping up with the crowds. The views of the 17th & 18th holes were great an we were right beside the landing areas from the tees. We would definitely come back the next time the Open is in Hamilton.

  • Pretty great but not perfect

by Tom Walker on 6/5/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 3 out of 5

The 1904 club was a complete waste of money and I would never do it ever again. How come the complimentary Sleeman tent has a better view of the 18th green than the people that paid to be in 1904. Also, paying $21 for a tiny wrap and a bag of chips is crazy. Everything else was great. The golfers, the course, the ScoreBet tent - I had a brilliant time But the 1904 club left a real bitter taste in my mouth and the Canadian Open won't be seeing a ticket purchase above general admission from me again

  • Packed and Muddy

by Win on 6/5/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 2 out of 5

Too many people tried to get around specific holes with not enough seating for them. It also rained one day and the infrastructure isn’t in place to support this or the draining, so everyone was very muddy

  • Damn Fine Time

by Mike on 6/4/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 4 out of 5

Weather was great. Venue was fantastic. I'm not a fan of this new trend of cashless events. Wireless debit machines seem to be a lot slower than a cash transaction so the lines stay for longer periods of time. Also - The food options were rather disappointing. The last time Hamilton hosted the Open, there were a bunch of local food vendors. This time was more like a mall food court. More variety would have been nice. Besides that, it was a great time.

  • Wonderful

by Jordan on 6/4/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time I’ve been to any type of golfing event and I was not disappointed. It was amazing to see my favourite golfers so up close. The venue was exceptional and well maintained. Every single volunteer was kind, helpful, and knowledge about the course. There were also so many great options for food. Overall this was an amazing experience and hopefully I will be able to go to many more Canadian opens and cannot wait for it to be held at Hamilton golf and country club again.

  • Canadian open view

by Wayne williams on 6/3/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 5 out of 5

I traveled from South Carolina for the day to The Canadian Open in Hamilton Ontario. The venue was laid out very nicely with great access to get great vantage point point to see the play during the entire tournament. The food court had a great abundance of quality delicious food and beverage vendors/. The staff on the grounds and in the shops were very helpful: volunteers were very helpful and recommend visiting future Canadian open events

Amazing experience, beautiful course and the people there we're so kind

  • More Water

by John Dubs on 6/2/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 3 out of 5

Need more water stations including immediately at the entrance and on the outer parts of the course. Also need more communication between website permitted items and security staff as we were incorrectly told to throw out food that was clearly allowed per the website

  • Great for golf watchers and players

by Gail Simcoe Ont. on 6/2/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 5 out of 5

To be honest the Ticketmaster experience was not great. I am one of the few that do not have a cell phone. Everything I buy I print the ticket, has the barcode you need, never thought this would be different. Called Ticketmaster twice, had friends try to transfer ….no success. But we went anyway to the tournament, had my iPad, print outs, ID…..the gate personnel could not have been nicer, very accommodating and easily presented myself and husband our tickets. It was a great day, great weather, hilly course for sure, but well worth the price if admission.

  • Nice location, great golf but simply unaffordable for most.

by Underwhelming on 6/2/24Hamilton Golf and Country Club - AncasterRating: 3 out of 5

Lucky for us we have resources financial. But I saw a number of families splitting meals. 2 steak sandwiches and 2 beers with tip $92.00 seriously!! How can most afford this. Next year we watch from home!!

  • Underwelmed

by Jenn on 6/19/23Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North YorkRating: 2 out of 5

I did not find the value matched the cost. There was a large lack of food, considering the amount of alcohol being served. The 11th hole had no private washrooms that were advertised and the clubhouse only had 3!!!! There was also a huge amount of dead time with no dinner between 6 -8:30pm when the concert was to start. I would not buy the clubhouse tickets again. Very disappointed.

  • Amazing

It was a fantastic experience. First PGA event but will not be my last.

  • Poor Setup

by Rambo on 6/14/23Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The setup wasn't as good as previous years. It was more difficult to navigate between holes. 18th green was surrounded by grandstands very close to the green and didn't allow for many general admittion fans to be included at the end. Many were left to stand along the fairway and couldn't see much because it was an elevated green. Parking sold out. Location of the event wasn't in a very good spot to bring in the amount of fans that came.
