About

Veteran comedian Ralphie May's popularity exploded after the success of the first season of "Last Comic Standing." Long-time fans of Ralphie were joined by countless new fans when America thought he was robbed of the winner's title. Despite the show's outcome, Ralphie's special brand of comedy combines the familiar elements of hip-hop and topical comedy with a dash of southern down-home flavor and quick wit, making him one of the most popular comedians in the country. His first DVD, appropriately titled "Just Correct," went platinum!

His special brand of humor and incredible timing has allowed Ralphie to cross social, cultural, and ethnic barriers and has earned him roles in such films as "For Da Love of Money" and "Gas." Ralphie has worked as an actor, writer and producer on ESPN's "Mohr Sports" starring Jay Mohr and made multiple appearances on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He has also appeared on "Tough Crowd," "The Man Show" and MTV's "Bash," as well as in guest-starring roles on numerous television shows. In an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" he received a standing ovation, the first comedian in 10 years to receive this honor.

    Awesome

by MeenaChris on 2/12/11Lexington Opera House - Lexington

The show was great. Ralphie understands how expensive it is to go out now and takes his time with the audience. His show was over two hours. HE had us laughing until tears were coming down. Would go again for sure.

    Ralphie May Rocks!

Ralphie is always hilarious. But I hoped for a new show and jokes this year. This is my second year going to see him and it was essentially the same show.

    A little disappointed

by ARoberts2 on 1/18/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

I was a little disappointed because the show was a little dry to start. Ralphie did tell the audience that he had recently injured his shoulder and that he was in a lot of pain. I think because he was in so much pain that may have been why the beginning half of the show was slow and dry. Eventually it got better though. I just wish I could've seen the energetic, smack talking, funny guy that I see on tv.

Ralphie Mays Laughed the whole time

by redbug09 on 1/18/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

I really enjoyed the show. His wife was really funny which was a great extra. I bought these tickets as a Christmas gift for my friends and had a really great time. It's a memory I will carry for along time. I have seen some of his stuff on TV, but he was much better live. The tickets weren't too much. Great deal! I would go see him again. His comedy was something everyone could relate to so anyone going to see him would have an awesome time. The seats were great.

This guy was funny but the show got very very long and long winded. I dont think it was worth the charge of admission considering I have seen much better comedians for less.

by MCFLYJOE on 1/18/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

He is always hilarious, but he used a chunk of the same material as last years show, and his opening act wife was identical material. So i feel like i paid money to see some of the same stuff, although is always hilarious.

    Absolutely Hilarious!

by jbv2389 on 1/17/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

Ralphie May was just as great in person as on his Comedy Central specials. He was actually quite sick but he said that he would have felt so bad if he had cancelled. He was still super funny while sick.

    Ralphie May!

by Angelita41 on 1/17/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

Ralphie May was an entertaining night out. We had been looking forward to this show for some time, we were not disappointed. He had taken a fall a week earlier and still made it for the show. He did not want to disappoint his fans. We also enjoyed his opening act (his wife). Both shows were a little more racy than what we anticipated, but we still laugh at some of the jokes.

    Too much politics

by sugarhillmom on 1/17/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

Ralphie was very funny to begin with but then went into a 45 minute speach on his political vews. Not what I paid for. Sometimes you want to just get away from all the negativity and just want to laugh. Aside from that, he is a very funny guy and I injoyed his wife's act before his.

Paid for comedy show, got politics.

by 1213lm on 1/17/11Gwinnett Performing Arts Center - Duluth

I have seen him 3 times prior and all were hilarious. Maybe he is getting so popular that he thinks now it is okay to throw his political views on a captive audience. I think he is a very funny man and . ...he probably means well. But, when people want a date night to laugh, they do not want to hear his views on politics. That's what CNN and Fox are for. I almost fell asleep a few times. His wife was the opening act and she was hilarious.
