About

Born somewhere in the Arizona desert, Puscifer is an electro-rock band, multimedia experience, traveling circus, and alien abduction survivors. The group's catalog consists of four full-length studio albums: "V" is for Vagina [2007], Conditions of My Parole [2011], Money Shot [2015], and Existential Reckoning (2020) - in addition to a series of EPs and remixes. Beyond the core trio of Maynard James Keenan [vocals], Mat Mitchell [guitar, production], and Carina Round [vocals, songwriting], the group's ever-evolving ecosystem encompasses Greg Edwards (bass, guitar, keys), Gunnar Olsen (drums), as well as a cast of characters such as Billy D and his wife Hildy Berger, Major Douche, Special Agent Dick Merkin, and many more. Meanwhile, the moniker's origins can be traced to a 1995 episode of the HBO classic Mr. Show where Keenan first used the name "Puscifer." In addition to tallying tens of millions of streams and views, they've piqued the curiosity of the press. Entertainment Weekly christened them, "Exceptionally groovy," and Revolver fittingly described them as "indescribable." Renowned for an immersive live show, the group's performances blur the lines between concert and theater, traversing the dusty American Southwest with Billy D and Hildy or the sweaty squared circle with Luchadores. They've brought their unique live experience to life  everywhere from Coachella to Bonnaroo. On their 2020 debut for Alchemy Recordings/Puscifer Entertainment/BMG entitled Existential Reckoning, Puscifer track Billy D back to the desert and, just maybe, uncover the truth about aliens once and for all.

Previously, Puscifer has sold out venues to capacity, like Warner Theatre and Old National Centre.

    Band Great !

by Jc on 6/1/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The floor seats are very hard to see the at the Northfield MGM casino . Parking was free and beer was moderately priced. I would only sit in the back (it had raised seating ).

Bands were great, but seating was extremely cramped

by Ellen on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The performaces of Puscifer and Night Club were great. The stage set up and sound were great. Parking at the venue was easy, close, and free since you parked at the casino. The inside was clean. While the seats were confortable, they were just padded folding chairs. No arm rests and no spaces between them. It was impossible not to be touching your neighbor. The 300 lb guy next to me had to rest his arm on the back of my seat because he had no room. They should have reduced each row by a seat or 2 and spaced out the chairs. I probably won't go to this venue again due to the seating.

    Night Club's show is tired!

by Jill on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Venue set 2600 people in the space that about 500 people would be comfortably standing in seating in the casino Center stage arena was so packed elbow to elbow with complete strangers made a very uncomfortable evening. Maynard doesn't allow photos or videos to be taken and I got screamed at by a bald Mr clean on a power trip the first time I took my phone out of my pocket get a life if I'm going to pay $100 for one ticket I'm going to take a picture so fuck off

    Good but not great

by Trephanationman on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Huge Puscifer fan. That being said, the newest record is my least favorite. The venue is also not ideal for a band like this. Flat surface with a barely elevated stage made it difficult to see the performance. The show relied heavily on the new material with only 3 - 4 songs older songs not on the Existential Reckoning record. The songs they did play were changed in a manor to be more in line with the vibe from the new record. I do have a new respect for the new material seeing it played live but would rather have heard a more comprehensive mix of there material. I realize I may be being overly critical. I saw them on the Akron Civic Theater on the Money Shot tour it is was one of the most incredible performance I've ever seen. It will be very difficult to live up or surpass that experience. Still a good time but not what they are capable of doing.

    Amazing

by Brandon d on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Puscifer is simply put one of the greatest shows ever, however do NOT! But vip tickets with future beats it’s a ripoff! But, I can’t complain too much because the show itself was immaculate!

    Sound great, view not

by D on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The sound for the Puscifer show was great, but the venue has a horrible sight problem. With the stage being so low as soon as everyone stands you can’t see a thing that the band is doing on stage. Disappointed.

    Had a blast

by Jgreen on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The show was great. The room was packed too close and Carina’s vocals were too low in the mix but Puscifer put on an amazing show. I look forward to seeing them again.

    Great show

by MarkI on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Puscifer is the one Maynard fronted project that we can both agree on. It was fun, and funny.

Band killed it but the venue is awful

by Papa Smurf on 5/31/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Absolutely horrid venue. It's like watching a show in the school gymnasium. It's flat and once the show starts everyone stands up. If you're under 6 feet tall it's just heads and shoulders. Will never see another show here. Puscifer killed it and put an absolute flawless performance.

    WAY BEYOND EXPECTATIONS……. FAR OUT

    by Frank T on 5/30/23

Loved Puscifer from the beginning and they have evolved into something to be taken for granted. Amazing! One of a kind. They are spot on and sound like they are from another dimension, can’t quite fathom this yet……

    Overall, enjoyed....

by JerryH on 5/27/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

...for a older one than 99% of the crowd....totally unaware of the group, unfamiliar with them, tickets bought on a lark in January while the $ were lower... ;) Row B balcony center...👍 As a fan of EDM and 'other' not typical for my g-g-g-generation, enjoyed the P. Opening act....not so much, but....hard to call what could warm the site for the main rationale... A bit loud for the venue and for older ears, but certainly what got mine where they are after all these years. *L* Took out the aids, went for the plugs; equipped spouse with some as well, and went for it. ( What clips my ears is us, the audience....'dirty white noise' of cheers, even with premium plugs, brings hands over ears to drop the dB....). Spouse not a fan of my 'normal noises' still found interest in the gig and the groups' lyrics.... What drove us out at Intermission was old bladders, the lack of RR's with long lines, and knowing that it'd likely get louder after...and knowing we could light up the audio @ home 10 min. away and online control the levels without the crowd...;) I'd go again, but an outdoor venue (2xRabbit?) would be more to tasty... *G* See y'all there...J

    Epic Show

by MrsRose on 5/26/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

This concert was nearly an out-of-body-experience! I’ve been a long time TOOL and MJK fan, and I’m so glad we got to see Pusifer in such an intimate venue. Phones and pictures were strictly off limits and the staff pounced on anyone who “forgot”. It was refreshing to not see a sea of phones in the crowd. The set was a good 2 hour length and the mixing was top notch. It was such a good show I thought about quitting my job and becoming a Pushead, or whatever they call the fans who follow them from show-to-show. First-rate vocals and excellent showmanship! 10 of 10 would recommend!

Great show, venue could use a facelift!

by Jesse on 5/26/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

The show was fantastic as is to be expect from Puscifer! Lighting and audio were pretty fantastic as well! As for the venue itself...parking, availabiliy and pricing of concessions, bathroom cleanliness, staff, all of those things were great. The inside decor could use some updating and perhaps they could think about addressing the dreadful paint peeling on the walls and peeling/cracks where the overhead ducts meet the ceiling. No reason to not fix that stuff! All that being said, I'd still visit this venue again!

Puscifer is a twisted comedy show with a side of music

by AG on 5/22/23Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St Petersburg

Mahaffey was beautiful though seemingly understaffed (took forever to get inside and didn't even try to get any refreshments with the limited selection and the length of lines). Seats were comfortable and the sound quality was perfect. I've seen Puscifer before (twice) and neither time prior was the opener good. I respect their willingness to give artists their shot...I don't understand why they keep choosing the artists they do because all three openers have been comically awful. "Night Club" was a gothic girl and a past his prime DJ that looked like they were cast as extras in the first Wesley Snipes Blade movie and then at the last second the directors were like "You two, we're going to have you guys pretend to be musically engaged, but don't worry the main actors are going to talk over you no one will hear what you're saying/playing" and then instead of hearing actors we heard the music that these two created when they thought no one was listening. As far as the main event, well done. Maynard is the lifeblood both through his vocals and charisma and does not show any signs of slowing down which was a pleasant sight/sound. Carina continues to harmonize with him and stand out when she needs to beautifully. This was the first time of the three shows of Puscifer I've been to where I actually looked forward to more skit than songs and I can't quite decide if it was because of the quality of the skit or that Existential Reckoning just wasn't my favorite album. The collection of throwback songs that were played were the highlights of the concert for me, and from the sound of crowd reaction everyone in attendance, but that is not to say the rest of the show was bad. 4 stars, but would not go a second time for the same tour.
