About "Horizons"

World-renowned physicist Professor Brian Cox brings his immersive live experience, "Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey," to North America.

"Horizons" takes us on a dazzling cinematic journey. A story of how we came to be and what we can become.

The deepest of questions will be explored using the latest advances in our understanding of quantum theory, black holes, biology, planetary science, astronomy and cosmology. Using state-of-the-art LED screen technology, venues will be filled with images of far-away galaxies, alien worlds, supermassive black holes and a time before the Big Bang.

"Horizons" is a celebration of our civilization, of our music, art, philosophy and science; an optimistic vision of our future if we continue to explore Nature with humility and to value ourselves and our fellow human beings. Brian will once again be joined by co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage and award-winning comedian Robin Ince, perhaps the only collection of sentient atoms in the observable Universe capable of overseeing a Q&A with an audience of 10,000 people while wearing an old cardigan.

I brought my 12 year old, who absolutely loved it! Brian is a great teacher for all people. He can take something that is so interesting (But difficult to learn) and make it digestible to all ages. Thank you for inspiring so many minds!

  • So thought provoking!

Easy to understand complex theories of the beginning and end of time.. Fascinating videos and believable explanations. So stimulating and open ended leaving me with a strong desire to learn as much as possible. Made physics fun!

I’ve never seen anyone explain cosmology and physics in such a captivating, relatable, accessible way. Brian Cox is truly gifted and his enthusiasm is genuine and infectious! We have seen him twice and will continue to attend his shows every time we can. If you’re not sure whether to attend, just go and see him; you’ll be delighted that you did!

Seeing Professor Cox was an experience of a lifetime. Anyone interested in the universe we occupy and our place in it would love every moment of this show. I was memorized by Professor Cox and the incredible visuals that went along with the show.

  • Loved it!

by Rory on 5/13/25Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great combination of thought provoking, interesting, and entertaining. I'd only seen professor Cox on YouTube and Tiktok, so it was really cool to see him in person. Great production value, but honestly it was pretty awesome to be in a room with hundreds of other people who paid money to listen to a British astrophysicist.

  • educational and entertaining

by Andy on 5/8/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

So I went with others that had seen him before but it was all about black holes, how good could it be? Turns out fantastic, very understandable but still stretching the mind. He is both educational and entertaining. Highly recommended

  • Amazingly engaging!

by Lars & Deb on 4/27/25Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

We flew from Seattle to San Diego because the 2 nights Brian Cox was going to be in our city were nearly sold out and tickets were $1,500 each! Upon reflection, it still would have been with it! I was worried about getting lost in the mathematics, but with just a BA degree I was easily able to understand. The beginning of the lecture had me feeling incredibly insignificant, but by the time Brian moved us to the conclusion I was in awe of how beautiful life, all life, my life truly is.

  • Awe Inspiring

What a fascinating and amazing presentation. I’m always impressed with how Professor Cox can take such complex concepts and make them so accessible and engaging. Seeing the photos on such a large screen was also just visually stunning.

by J Scotillo on 7/1/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

It is always enlightening to listen to Brian’s interpretations of the cosmos. It was especially entertaining seeing him in real life. Thank you Brian for bringing your lecture to Texas. With all the depressing news in our world today Brian paints a beautiful bright future of discovery. Looking forward to your next visit.

  • Very fun

A bit smarty smarty but fun comic relief in between the brain twisters of info Not being a mathematician, the equations Will a bit of a stretch for me but the black hole and space info was really really cool Great graphics and totally entertaining

  • ASTOUNDED!

by K. Mac. on 6/27/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I've watched numerous documentaries featuring Professor Cox and find him an amazing communicator and socializer of scientific principles! This presentation was no different! The visuals, and his interaction with them, helped paint vivid images in support of his topics! I find black holes terribly interesting! I respect Professor Cox so much because he never presents scientific theories as simply facts that we all must accept! Rather, he presents the theory like this, "We think that...., but we're not sure." This builds my confidence in him and the points he's conveying! TOTAL and 100% respect for the man! Would love to have been able to meet him to tell him this personally!

  • Great visuals!

by Thad on 6/27/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Clear and easy to understand explanations of complex theories.

  • Huge fan of Prof Cox, but…

    by N. R. on 6/27/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

We left during intermission. This is a true lecture that simply isn’t for the general crowd. Maybe not a university level lecture but very far from the interesting tv show type presentations prof Cox is loved for, and what everyone knows him for. Robin Ince joined 25 min in to wake up the crowd with some much needed humor. Still a huge fan of prof Cox and I’m happy I got to see him but I think this show needs to be lightened up a bit.

  • Never stop learning

by Jeff on 6/26/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Brian Cox filled the talk with many updates on the universe, and black holes. As always he delivers in language we can understand, the images displayed were tremendously well done, and the evening was a complete success!

  • Excellent presentation

by Roy Nelson on 6/26/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Saw show in Dallas. Excellent presentation. Super well attended by a complete cross section of people. Asked if there were any Mathmeticians or Biologists in the crowd. None! But did not ask about Chemists?! What?! Very well done! Cheers
