ABOUT PORTUGAL THE MAN:
Over the past decade, Portugal The Man has established themselves as one of rock's most prized possessions and a live phenomenon, with over 1,600 shows under their belts and a storied reputation as festival favorites.
Originally heralding from Alaska, the Portland-based band - comprised of John Gourley, Zach Carothers, Kyle O'Quin, Eric Howk, Jason Sechrist and Zoe Manville - soared to new heights in 2017 with the release of their RIAA certified-gold album, Woodstock. The album was marked by the astounding success of their infectious single, "Feel It Still," which earned the group a plethora of new accolades - including a GRAMMY award for "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance," a 6x RIAA platinum certified single certification, a mind-blowing 20-week residency at #1 on alternative radio, and an inescapable presence on the Top 40 airwaves.Alongside the shine of their myriad musical accomplishments lies the group's long-standing passion for social justice. In fact, this is precisely the intersection on which Portugal The Man thrives; throughout their career, the band has consistently exemplified how to deeply commit to both artistry and activism. This dynamic inspired them to officially launch their PTM Foundation in 2020, focused on universal issues related to human rights, community health, and the environment, with an emphasis on causes directly impacting Indigenous Peoples.
Their continued passion for activism has also led to recent partnerships with organizations such as the National Coalition Against Censorship, The Skatepark Project (helping communities build public skate parks for youth in underserved communities), March for Our Lives (Gun Reform), Keep Oregon Well (Mental Health), and Protect Our Winters (Climate Change), to name just a few.

Saw the band at Joey’s Song benefit and loved them. This show was unrecognizable from that one. Some strange live distorted video stream and house lights making it impossible to tell who was on stage. So loud we couldn't tell you the name of any songs. We wouldn't pay to see them again.
We saw them at Summerfest a few years ago and the sound was horrible. Way louder than any other stage. Even next to the soundboard was unbearable with earplugs in. Game up and went ot another stage and the sound was good so we assumed it was the soundguy. We got super excited that they were coming though Madison. Then bummer... Same muddled sound, same rediculously volume. Very bass heavy like it was a rave. Could barely make out the vocals. Sounded exactly as it did at summerfest. Over processed and rediculously loud. My ears shouldnt hurt with earplugs in. 1 of only 2 concerts we've ever left early. We stayed through 9 songs and could not take it anymore. Disappointing.
Portugal. The Man is one of my favorite bands. But this show was at a relatively new venue and the sound was not good. The music was so distorted that voices and instruments blended into one mass of sound, at times I couldn't even make out what song they were beginning to play. I finally had to leave, I will see them again at a different venue this summer.
The openers were not on point. The band seemed like they hardly cared. I have seen 70 year old rockers have more fun. You can't smoke, can't bring anything food from out side, you can't even sit outside of the venue to listen to music that's a mile away, everything is as expensive as hell. Nothing about Ticketmaster makes you feel welcome or appreciated. There's just no heart in any of it.
I love this band and their clever combination of lyrics and music. A diverse and unique style. However, this concert was greatly diminished by the sound quality. I tried moving to different points thinking that the problem was bad coverage but it didn't matter. Far or close, and either side the vocals were indistinguishable. The audio curve was biased toward the low end with missing mids and minimal high end. It was cold and the last show of the tour. I am guessing the sound techs said screw it and didn't bother with a top notch set up. Maybe they figured everyone was going to be wearing a hat over their ears. I have attended many concerts at Hayden Homes Amphitheater and the sound is exclusively much clearer than this. I did ask others around me in case I was the problem and it was agreed the sound was poor.
This is one of our favorite venues ever. But the sound mix on this night for Portugal the Man was appalling. The bass boomed out so much that it smothered the rest of the sound. We even wandered around the venue to see if we could find a better sound spot. There wasn't one. It was so bad we left early. Shame, because they are a great band. The rest of the venues services and staff were fantastic as always. Just the sound was bad.
Remlinger Farms was the perfect venue to see Portugal the Man at. Live they put on an awesome, loud rock show.
Great new venue at Remlinger farms, easy parking, easy entrance, easy exit. What a great group Portugal. The Man is! Just a lovely evening of people enjoying life. Great set and despite the rain, one of the best experiences of my time in the PNW. Loved it
We did the early entry and we were able to spend some time with the band as they did some acoustic songs for us. When they got on stage later, they were wonderful. I wasn’t a big fan of theirs before I went to the show but now I am. Next time they come through town, I would definitely be seeing them again.
We waited for an hour and 20 min just to enter the show. The line was extremely long and due to that we miss half of the show of Bomba Stereo. Also the parking was disorganized and cars for top on each other. Absolutely the worst experience in my life when it comes to concerts.
I absolutely LOVED my experience at Remlinger Farm seeing Bomba Estéreo open for Portugal. The Man. Both bands were fantastic! We had such a great time.
The venue is a wonderful place to see a concert. The 2 bands that started it off were full of energy and sounded great. Then Portugal the Man came out and they were awesome! Looking forward to more concerts at Remlingers.
PTM was fantastic as usual. Great show. The opener (Clay?) was not my cup of tea and made me depressed. Let's not subject others to that, it's a terrible way to open a show.
Opened with Metallica, slayer, pantera and more instrumentals that flowed right into purple yellow red and blue. Hella unique and unexpected start to the long and badass show! I knew you guys would be good but it was top notch! So fun, nicely done you guys 👌🏻
Portugal. The Man rocks, Wow, what a great show. Will forever support this band.
Right from the start, PTM was loud! Bass and drums overpowered the vocals, and when you could hear the vocals they were distorted and hard to understand. If you are expecting to hear what is in the radio you will be disappointed. We weren’t alone in our disappointment - many people left early. So many good songs that could have made an excellent night; unfortunately it was more like a metal band playing PTM covers.
Loved the music! Band mostly in the dark. Video of band members and video of John from the floor would have been better if it was in focus.
The sound was not great. Two hours of heavy bass and snare. Vocals should have been the highlight but they were very muffled by everything else. I stood right next to the sound booth. They should have heard everything I did.
I've seen Portugal so many times and still can't get enough of them!! The sound was so good at the Salt Shed, they rocked the hell out! They were strictly business this round, not a lot of talking and played a lit of their newer songs. Appreciate their voices for the indigenous people.
