Great show!! Thought provoking play about the color conditions that still exist today. Everyone should see this play!!
This play was exceptional and educational at the same time. I like all of the characters and the humor in the play was timely and very funny. Platonos and Collard Greens did a very good job easing the tension of social issues between Latino and Black culture. I liked it a lot, it was different than the typical stories. Great Job!
I wholeheartedly enjoyed Saturday night’s production of Platanos & Collard Greens. Personally it hit home in many ways; it was hilariously funny with many historical humors that many of us hide behind. The show’s honesty took me on a voyage of my life now as an African American. I reflected back to my Haitian and Dominican ancestry. The play at times was sad due to the idiosyncrasy that holds us back as one; nevertheless it exposes this behavior so we can improve as one. I love the entire cast, they successfully portrayed the characters of the storyline!
Platanos & Collard Greens was simply delightful. It was insightful, thought provoking and humoress. P & CG has something for everyone in its multigenerational scope and presentation as it tackles historical and present day mindsets and issues. You can't help but comes away a little wiser, and definitely with a smile.
Platanos & Collard Greens was an amazing play. It has been a while since I've seen anything that was funny, romantic and challenge you to think critically about issues. Racism is still an issue that our world is dealing with today and Platanos & Collard Greens did an excellent job in terms of helping you to view the issues through the eyes of both the African American and the Hispanic. The details they discussed on the history of the issues of racism in America was insightful. It is definitely a play I will never forget and I will recommend this play to all my friends.
It was great, the way they presented the whole plot was well organized and structure. One thing that i think they could improve is the overused mocking, by this i mean some parts of the play were serious but because of the amuzing touch maybe some people didn't take as serious as it was. Great show would definitely recommended and would love to go and see it again.
